We decided to look into duct cleaning and sealing due to health issues. Scott, the owner, came out on time for a site visit and quote. He provided one that seemed reasonable for 3 people estimated to spend pretty much a full day. We agreed to and scheduled the work and they arrived, on time and as planned. I was surprised at how much time and equipment it takes to do the job properly. Scott and his crew did a totally professional job, working hard and continuously but carefully, with no nonsense, covering floors and rugs as needed for protection. When done, he provided a before and after leakage report. He had also gone above and beyond in properly sealing up the heat pump connection on the roof, which had never been done properly by the equipment installers. Their dedication to doing the best possible job is rare in today's world. The improvement in the quality of the air and the improved efficiency was noticeable and worth the investment. I needed my vents cleaned and wanted to get the Aeroseal done. This company delivered quickly and I didn't feel like I was being robbed in the process. The Aeroseal is an expensive undertaking in itself and only able to seal up small holes. These guys go through your system and hand seal up anything in your system that is too large to ensure you get a good seal. I started out with 40% of my system leaking and ended with only 0.05%. Two gentleman came in to do the work. I was told ahead of time what they would need and how long it would take. We did have to replace a section of my duct but I was made aware that there was a potential for this during the initial estimate and this was due to issues with how my ductwork was initially installed. They worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves. My vents are in the floor and my floors were probably cleaner when they were finished than when they started. Although this was a pricey investment overall I'm very pleased with the work provided by this company. I'd definitely contact them in the future for my vent cleaning needs. read more

My home was built in 1959 and had a swamp cooler removed a few years ago. Due to the old swamp cooler, we had a lot of rust and holes in the existing duct work. Scott was highly recommended to us, so we requested a proposal. Scott was polite, professional, and showed up exactly when he said he would. He walked us through the process, didn't try to oversell us, and offered suggestions for efficiency if we elected not to use his company. Their pricing was fair and itemized to let us know exactly what we would be getting. It was a no-brainer to go ahead and use ArrowSeal. Scott got us scheduled right away and let us know what to expect. We had some painter's plastic from a remodel so we covered our electronics and clothes, which I would recommend, but Scott's crew was very conscientious of our house and made every effort to be clean. They worked consistently throughout the day, giving updates on what they were finding and letting me look at the work as they progressed. We ended up having over 50% leakage in our system, so you can thank me for keeping Tucson cooler in the summer the last few years. After the work the leakage was reduced to less than 1%. What makes this remarkable is that our crawl space is very small, making Scott's job fabricating a new trunk section while up there an incredible feat of skill and perseverance. To optimize our newly efficient system we will be placing more insulation up there. Scott's team deserves a ton of kudos for the quality of work they do and the professionalism they show. We even ended up saving an extra $50 because our system was actually worse than projected before they began the work. After waiting 30+ years to finally replace the swamp cooler with new A/C and heater in my 1950's home, I realized if the duct work it was connected to was dirty and inefficient, I was still wasting money and comfort. Being a "thrifty" individual, I always thoroughly research everything prior to investing in any home project. After seeing the very good internet reviews of the ArrowSeal product (even This Old House highly recommended), I found ArrowSeal of Tucson also highly recommended on Yelp as well as being involved in TEP's Efficient Home Program. I contacted Scott Knight, owner, who personally came out for an inspection and estimate. I never looked back. Scott and his assistant Bob came out at the earliest possible date. He even rescheduled when he had a cancellation which got me in earlier. They arrived on time at 8 am and worked non-stop until after 5 pm. They thoroughly cleaned the air ducts (portions of which probably had not been done since the house was built), made repairs (even an area of ductwork that wasn't included in the original estimate) and sealed cracks, etc. throughout the entire system prior to sealing with the ArrowSeal product. The final report showed the duct leakage in my home went from an equivalent 62.2 square inch hole in my ducts to 2.1 square inch which corresponded to an overall 97% reduction in leakage! The air quality and dust has also substantially improved, which is very important for me since I have residual lung issues from Covid. I had Scott and his associate, Bob, from ArrowSeal of Tucson come and inspect my duct work before I had a new heat pump installed. I have an older home (early 70's) and learned that I had a considerable amount of leakage, not to mention very dirty air ducts partially because registers were not sealed during a home renovation. The old heat pump system was not insulated well and there was exposed fiberglass insulation in the return air cavity. They cleaned the air ducts thoroughly and I do mean thoroughly. They pumped the Aeroseal into the duct work to seal the cracks and leaks. They made repairs, they caulked and insulated every space they could. They worked tirelessly for 9 hours. I have a very old mobile home that had multiple problems with the duct work. I was referred to Arrowseal by my usual AC company after I called to ask about inspecting my ducts for leaks and getting them sealed. I could feel cold air coming out of light fixtures in my ceiling while my AC was on and began to wonder if that was contributing to my high energy bills in the summer. I searched the web for information and found that leaky ducts can account for a huge amount of wasted energy according to the Dept of Energy. Scott answered my call right away and set up a time to do an initial inspection and to provide a free quote. Once he came out he visually inspected my ducts from the registers and estimated that I was probably leaking 25% of my airflow based on the leaks he could see. He also let me know that if I schedule the job and their initial test indicated that my ducts were not leaking very much I could opt out of the service and just pay a nominal testing fee. Once they came out for service and actually tested the ducts it came back at almost 50% leakage! They did a combination of traditional manual sealing and the Aeroseal process. According to the Certificate of Completion I received they reduced my duct leakage from 641 CFM to 40 CFM, a 94% reduction. Overall I am very satisfied with the service I received and with how honest Scott was. He explained things to me along the way and they made sure to put drop cloths down anywhere work was being done to help keep things clean. Based on my internet searches I also believe I got a very good price on the services provided. It was an 8+ hour process because of the amount of leakage I had and the complexity due to the age of my house. I was interested in having my ducts cleaned and sealed just as maintenance for my home and due to the never ending dusting that I seemed to be doing. I was not ready for the level of leakage that my house showed when Scott tested it. No wonder the upstairs never cooled down in the summer months and the AC never seemed to rest. Since having the ducts cleaned and sealed, the upstairs of my house cools down and I can actually feel the air coming out of the vents upstairs when standing at a distance. Before I would find myself putting my hand up to the vent to see if air was coming out. The air quality is considerably better and my son with severe allergies isn't coughing and sneezing constantly.
