Valeria also accommodated my request to play a millennial throwback playlist, and every hit had us singing along--it was the perfect soundtrack for the afternoon. Our server, Skylar, was equally wonderful. She made excellent wine recommendations, was attentive without ever making us feel rushed, and truly made us feel at home. However, our experience was ruined when a host approached our table and asked if we were close to leaving because there was a long waitlist. Several other tables had arrived before us, yet none of them were approached. This treatment felt unfair and left a very bad taste in my mouth. We stepped inside The old Barn and were greeted by the owner and winemaker himself, Brett. The barn was so cute, and honest. And Brett was so clearly passionate about his wines. It isn't often that you find this personal connection with a winery. Many of them are corporate today, and most owners have employees in the tasting room and are not there on a Saturday afternoon. That alone set Boaventura apart from most wineries. The wines were excellent! There wasn't one bad one in the ten that we tasted. That's pretty amazing, even for fantastically epic famous wineries. And to find that in Livermore Valley is even more awesome. I will absolutely return to Boaventura and I recommend it as a must-stop to all of my wine-loving friends. This is also a place where I would take guests so they could get a feel for a small, family-owned and operated winery. I loved it!

I chose to buy a bottle of their Malbec which hit my flavor profile perfectly. They made sure the water station Was always full which was greatly appreciated. Staff kept checking on all the tables to make sure we were enjoying and had what we needed. There was a food truck and cookie cart available to everyone and they allowed you to bring food in. This event was a great way to pre game for the 4th. WTR schedules events for their customers and members that invite community and what better way than to share with a glass of outstanding wine. A Retirement Celebration to Remember…read more I have been a Concannon Club member for a couple of years, and we visit frequently, often bringing friends and family to enjoy tastings and experience this beautiful property. Concannon has always been a special place for us, which is why I knew it would be the perfect setting to celebrate my retirement. I initially booked the Arbor and had the pleasure of working with Barbara, who was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. I truly appreciated her assistance, responsiveness, and guidance as I planned this very special milestone. As the celebration approached, Heidi contacted me with a thoughtful recommendation that made all the difference. She let me know that the forecast was calling for a very hot 94-degree day and suggested moving the celebration indoors to their newly completed Barrel Room. I am so grateful she did! The Barrel Room was absolutely beautiful and perfectly set up. It was elegant, comfortable, and provided the perfect atmosphere for celebrating with family, friends, and colleagues. It truly exceeded my expectations and created a gorgeous backdrop for an unforgettable afternoon. And the wine was a huge hit with our guests! My family and friends purchased wine to take home after enjoying the celebration, and it was wonderful to see how much they enjoyed Concannon's wines. The bubbles and Pinot Noir were favorites, and so many of our guests absolutely loved the Cabernet Sauvignon. Several left with bottles to continue enjoying and remembering the celebration at home. We stopped by this…read moreoasis in the middle of rural-suburban sprawling Livermore for wine tasting and a picnic and appreciated its well-kept grounds and really, really nice people working there. We brought our own picnic lunch and sampled 7 of their great wines sitting and chatting on one of the many picnic tables on their property. Your choice of sun or shade. Our tasting experience was great with the wine tasting flight: It ranged from white to rosé to full body red, and they are the only certified organic winery in the area, as I understand. They had a live musician named Chris Rogers singing and playing the guitar; don't forget to tip him. If you don't bring your own food, don't worry, they have a caterer on-site to buy from. You can also sit at their tables if you buy a couple of bottles instead of doing the tasting. I noticed they also have comedy shows once a month in the summer and hope I can check that out. If you are looking for a relaxing day outdoors with great wine, live music, and a welcoming atmosphere, it is a fantastic place to visit.
