The food was absolutely delicious, we decided to do the A La Carte as opposed to the tasting menu since we weren't sure we'd like everything on the tasting menu. Plus we were able to get a bottle of wine, shared most of the other courses and got one main course each. Picked an item from every course and literally everything that came out was delicious. We had the beef tartare, cauliflower poached egg, 42 day aged sirloin steak, tortellini and rhubarb desert. The staff is friendly and helpful and even provided a little wine tasting on the side to help us decide which bottle of wine to buy. Wish K took more photos of the food but it was so good I started digging in! Highly recommend if you're looking for a nice/special dinner. It is a bit on the pricey side but definitely worth it!

We were looking for a different experience and found art and food thanks to yelp! It was quite a treat. We had the five course tasting menu with wine pairings and each course was wonderful. We had several czech republic wines which were a treat as we had been drinking czech pivo for a week now (often as a substitute for water). One wine we really liked was an orange colored one that tasted like sauvignon blanc married sauvignon franc. Trè bièn. Price wise this is more than standard czech faire but was well worth it. The star for me was the venison. Perfectly cooked and delicious. Second star was the pasta. Insane how tasty it was. Dessert was the third champ. I could have eaten three of these! Romantic? Check. Artsy? Check. Flavorful? Check. Perfect service? Check. Lots of checks at this "czech" restaurant. As with all czech restaurants water is not included. We had two bottles of sparkling water to fend off "tanin" issues wines can cause.

Had a wonderful meal here last night. We did the five course tasting with wine pairings. The menu changes daily here, so it's tempting to go back and see what the chef offers today. The wines were all Sourced locally and did not disappoint. The food was wonderful and our server was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a large selection of art on display that is available for purchase. Prices seemed a bit huh on the art, but we felt the food was quite reasonable. Think it was roughly $107 (U.S. Dollars) for dinner for two where we had a welcome cocktail and two of the pairings.

My husband and I took my mom to this wonderful restaurant and we all had the tasting menu as well as the matching Czech wines wine paring. The price value for this combo is really great. They use almost only local and farm-to-table ingredients, which you can taste in every dish. The composition of the dishes as well as the entire menu, including the wine pairing, was excellent. Very well combined and served. The only thing that we would recommend is adjusting the desert - I do love "krupicova kase" but it is a way too heavy end for such a wonderful menu. Otherwise, very well done!

We thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. It had such a warm, welcoming atmosphere and the food is spectacular. The style of the restaurant was very bohemian with modern art covering every wall and live piano playing. We had a 5 course meal. The beet root carpaccio was delicious as was everything else we had. The service was wonderful. The owner of the restaurant was our server and he was very kind and attentive.

Amazing. Love the food, atmosphere and everything around this restaurant. Wine pairing with the food is just great. You must try.

    Goat cheese appetizer

Easily one of the best meals I've had! It's expensive compared to the other restaurants in the area but definitely worth it. The food was well thought out and wasn't trying too hard to be trendy. The wine was fantastic, and the staff is very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend for a nice romantic dinner.

We ordered the beef cheeks, which were served cold (likely as intended but not what I was expecting). Flavor was fine but not great. The burger was also just okay. For something so standard, it was passable but not likely to order again. Our favorite dishes were 1) the duck and 2) potato and vegetable patties. Duck was crispy, hot, and had pretty good flavor! The vegetable patties were also crispy and balanced, slightly sweet. The beer list was limited but we liked what we ordered. Hate to be a broken record but we've had better while in the city. Wouldn't recommend this place to a friend since it was just average.

I waited about 45 minutes to an hour, so patience is definitely part of the experience. That said, if you happen to be walking by and notice the line is unusually short, take that as your sign and get in line immediately. You may never see an opportunity like that again. Service was great, and everyone was friendly and welcoming despite how busy they were. They even surprised us with complimentary shots at the end of the meal, which was a fun way to finish things off. The food alone makes this one worth putting on your Prague list--just be prepared to wait for it!

Pork's almost always has a line and is known amongst locals as a tourist spot. Despite this, I…read morefound that Pork's had some of the best pork knuckles that I tried in Prague. After trying some relatively disappointing pork knuckles, I decided to take a chance on Pork's. We went after visiting the Prague Castle around 3 PM. Having walked past it a few times, there was always a line, and I was hoping eating between meal times would help. While it was shorter, there was still a line, but it moved quickly. When we got into the restaurant, I immediately noticed how smoothly everything operated. The restaurant was quite large. Much bigger than I anticipated. The second we sat down, a server approached us to ask if we knew what we wanted. It was clear that their main goal was to rotate people out of the restaurant as fast as possible. I knew I wanted the pork knuckle, but I wish we had a bit more time to look through everything, including the drinks. I ordered the pork knuckle first and planned to get a drink when the server came back. Before I knew it, the dish was on our table. With the small menu and constant turnaround, it wasn't surprising that the food was already prepared and only needed to be plated and sent to our table. It took about three minutes total. The skin was extremely crisp, so much so that it was hard to cut through at points, but the knives provided were nice and sharp. The first bite I had was extraordinary. The meat inside was still juicy and tender despite not being made to order. It was so soft and contrasted perfectly with the crispy and oily skin. It was very rich, but was nicely balanced by the necessary mustard that came with it. As I continued eating, I found that the whole knuckle wasn't perfectly consistent, with some bites being slightly dry. However, this didn't take away from the overall experience and the high highs that the dish achieved. If anything, there needed to be a little more mustard just to have enough for each bite of meat. The pork knuckle here was the best I had during my time in Prague. Pork's is all about putting food on the table and cycling guests in and out of their restaurant, which I respected. They aren't trying to blow customers away with outstanding service, which is still friendly, but is very limited in interactions to keep things quick. The food alone carries the restaurant to a high mark that makes up for any shortcomings in the service experience. Pork's is an easy restaurant to recommend in Prague as a great place to try a delicious pork knuckle and more.

The place was packed upon entrance so it may benefit to schedule a reservation for a larger party. As I was by my lonesome, I sat down at a table and began to take in the atmosphere. The hall was breathing with life of people enjoying drinks and chatting, so don't expect a quiet dining experience. My waitress recommended I try the sausage variety as an appetizer so I gave it a go. The food came out after about five minutes. I could be intoxicated by the delight of visiting Europe but the sausages were so delicious and fresh. The mustard and horseradish which accompanied the dish were delicious and complimented the protein so well. For the main dish, my waitress also recommended the Chicken and Rice. The food followed my appetizer about five minutes after. Upon first sight, the portions and composition of the plate spoke to me in a commanding yet soft whisper. The chicken was so tender that it melted off the bone. The rice was so dense yet fluffy. Each bite combination sprinkled with the gravy made for a euphoric taste in each chew. In other words, the food was incredible. This restaurant provided to perfect opportunity to try out traditional Czech food without leaving a hole in you wallet. The pricing, the vibes, and the seemingly unlimited beer made for an authentic experience. It is definitely worth a visit here, or at any of the Lokál chains if you find yourself in Prague.
