    My treasured frames repaired !!
    Donita M.

Where can I begin ? They have AMAZING SELECTION of frames.... And I also took my vintage glasses to get new lenses.. perfection ! Also took my empty frames and they put my lenses in them. I'm so happy with this place. I had one treasured pair that had a broken side and Meredith had a lady who could fuse it seamlessly back together..wow. Here's a pic of one of the frames I found there:

    Beautiful and artsy eyewear

I'm at "that age" where eyewear is a thing. Thankfully, this amazing shop is in my neighborhood. I stopped in during a Trunk Show and they had amazing deals on high end eyewear. The ladies who I worked with were extremely helpful in finding the color and shape of frames that would complement my look. Meredith and Amanda were eyewear experts! They helped me to select the best balanced look for work. Plus, they also recommended fun options when I'm just out living life. It was such a treat to have so many great options to choose from. Plus, I never felt rushed. This great location boasts hundreds of beautiful eyewear options for everyone. Multiple brands, colors, styles, and price-points. You even get a discount on tax if you have them place prescription frames in your eyewear. #EyewearWin

I clipped out of Gambit magazine the ad for Art and Eyes and promised myself a trip there to see the beautiful frames featured in the ad. Lo and behold, when I finally got there, crossing my path coming from the store entrance was this beautiful gent, snow white hair, that was paired with a very young face, a great looking Pink (Salmon) Suit, and a Pink Derby, and a great shaped pair of glasses. I said wow! to him, and he returned a great hello, I told him he looked better than Elton John! I went inside the store and I was mesmerized. I thought I was in a wonderland ! It is absolutely beautifully showcased. There are frames for every character, mood, profession, leisure, artisan, child, teenager, occasion and fantasy. I was approached by beautiful Meredith, of whom could be placed in every region of the world and would blend easily in some form or fashion. I stated that I was looking for glasses just like the style I was wearing but more color and more daring uniqueness. Hey, Hey, Hey but not fat Albert! Meredith read me like an IOS Instruction Manual, dat's right., she came back with a dozen pair, fully thought out just from talking to me. Not like most optical places 3 pair that not even T-REX would wear, uh huh. I definitely found the frames I wanted, Meredith had all the patience in the world. Yes, there's pricey, moderate, and there's a section of beautiful frames that are priced on sale. Remember those T-REX glasses are very pricey also. A youngster that has to wear glasses would love this place. Having the option to buy glasses that fits his/her taste, and have the possibility to start a trend, make a friend, and be proud. Nobody bullies you when you're confident at any age! I met Paul (owner, and our Elton John ) and I also met Starr (owner and wife of Paul). Starr is a top Designer of formal wear, beautiful hand made masks especially thick in the area of the mouth, beautiful jewelry, clothing made of fabric to die for, Starr's handbags the most beautiful bags I've ever seen made locally, there's no stamping of designs, every scene or design is sewn by hand on the bag. . How brilliant and gifted is this, and one of a kind. Also Meredith designs her own jewelry, beautiful necklaces to snap on to hold your mask, instead of holding it under your neck. Starr and Meredith has a deep appreciation of people. Paul has a peacefulness about himself. He's ready to accommodate you with anything you need. Starr ans Paul are a match made in heaven . I was able to see them all, including Halle and Amanda (whom I met a week later), interact with male and female, all economic levels of clients/consumers (which is very important to my becoming a client anywhere) and everyone received the best of care. I said to Starr, "you should be on the series "Yellowstone". She reminds me of the leading lady on Yellowstone. Actually each staffer, including owners, have their own distinct personalities, and all of it is good. I'm still in awe about Art and Eyes. Its a wonderland for anyone male, female, children, seniors, elderly, actors, young trenders, bikers, everyone! And you don't have to wait forever for your glasses to come back. You're able to come back for adjustments at no charge. Starr, Paul, staff, are all very cognizant and serious about social distancing. You do have to make an appointment. You don't have to wait, and your desire and style is appreciated and brought to fruition. You have to go in and experience the wonderland of Arts and Eyes to appreciate in spite of the grandeur of this wonderland, its here for "Everyone". So, go and see, you're worth it. It's Nat'Ually Nu'Awlins, Y'all. Be mindful of covid19, let us all stay "Prayed Up" and kind to each other. Check out the pics! "MO"

Perusing a local magazine I was mesmerized by a pair of glasses that I knew would be PERFECT for a friend of mine && here is where the review starts: Easily overlooked & missed because it's set off a bit from the street, this treasure of a store is EPIC!!! Not to be missed & if you do, your loss. 15-20 classes of seemingly one of a kind frames, this is a veritable wonderland for one in search of a unique pair of frames. The frames seems to hail from Belguim, France, Italy & others over seas places. Why are the Europeans always such trend setters??? Humph!!!! #idk, but #meloves it!!! Paul, the stylishly dressed, store owner or an employee (not sure which he was), was ever so helpful and attentive. I would be remiss in reviewing this facility if I didn't advise that the frames are more pricey then those at your local WalMart or Americas Best, but the individuality & quality is worth a few extra coins. Generally speaking frames from here will result in oooooohs & ahhhhhhs to the wearer.

I walking in, it was a December day, and I found the office was pretty HOT.I didn't think it was that cold out to be that hot inside, but maybe the ac was out or something. The medical secretary or receptionist, had greeted me, but there wasn't much warmth coming from her - no pun intended. Maybe she was hot but regardless, it didn't feel like a very welcoming atmosphere as my first impression. I went to get my eye pressure tested as that is routine for my eyes. And the antiquated machine they use, blows air into your eyes to capture the pressure. At least she warned me and I hesitated but went ahead with it. It freaking really BLOWS AIR! Which I am sure included dust with that air, and with my allergic conjunctivitis condition, makes everything worse. And I already had inflammation going on as it was. That was one of the reasons for my visit, to see if there was anything new in the world of dry eye for inflammation and to get an eye exam. After that somewhat painful eye pressure test, I go to the back to see the doctor, mentioned to him I did not like that machine for the eye pressure - that really, they should be using the gun test or the light test like every other eye doctor uses. He apologized, but the damage was done. He goes ahead and does the eye exam not addressing my inflammation or that it could affect my eye exam. He was a good listener at least and offered some other dry eye relief ideas. So, a couple of days later, my eyes were so much more inflamed from that eye pressure blower, I had to go to another eye dr for steroids and after a week of that, got another eye exam when the inflammation was finally down and it was completely different than the one, I got here. This trip was a total waste of time and only caused more discomfort. I really hope they no longer use that eye pressure blower machine and I am just glad it was not worse.

Thankfully, I do not need glasses at my tender age of 46 lol but who knows the future except God. So, while the wait was a bit longer than usual (per the assistant), she was able to get her glasses today, YAY!! That was a definite plus for us! According to the other reviews and his assistant, Dr. Tran is pretty good at what he does and his compassion appears to extend to every patient. From what I'm told, he also knows how to identify issues of the eye, just like any ophthalmologist. Seems like I'll be making an appointment for a wellness exam here soon and I feel comfortable recommending this optometrist for your eye care needs.

After specifically saying, I did not want tinted lenses, they gave me tinted lenses. They said they gave me new lenses. My ophthalmologist looked at my glasses and said no they didn't give you new lenses. They just cleaned the film off which is why my vision has been blurry for the last two years. Plus, I was told that they gave me the wrong prescription. This is an awful awful place. Do not use this place. The worst experience I've had in 70 years of wearing glasses. I was fortunate to secure a Saturday appointment for the very next day, which was incredibly convenient. The professionalism exhibited by both Zeta and Dr. Beam was exceptional, making me feel comfortable and well taken care of during my visit. The eye exam was pretty standard but what stood out was the retinal imaging technology they used, which I found to be a much-needed upgrade from the traditional eye dilation method. I was also pleasantly surprised to receive a pair of free sunglasses with my one-year contact lens order. I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking eye care. The blend of professionalism, new technology, and great perks (including plenty of parking on Magazine Street) contributed to a truly outstanding experience!
