This office accommodated me as I visited NOLA for the Super Bowl. I realized I didn't have enough contacts to last me the entire week. They were able to get in touch with my optometrist from back home and provided me with great service. The doctor even interacted with me even though I was not an established patient. That is rare!! Was given a clip board with paperwork and told to sit down and fill it out I asked about co-pay and was told she didn't know First tech verbalized her disappointment that I was still wearing contacts and delegated my butt to the "time-out" church pew in the middle of the hall. I had to ask TWICE for directions to water to wash my hands. Doctor was impatient and passive aggressive which resulted in me receiving a TOTALLY USELESS prescription. I had to demand and then INSIST that I get a damn receipt for $100 co-pay that miraculously appeared when it was time to leave! I would caution anyone considering treatment at this prescription FACTORY! This office is manned with uneducated rude, entitled staff and needs a total deep cleaning to get rid of the dirt and dust bunnies! read more

I called about my appointment for tomorrow and got talked over and yelled at because I asked questions. I needed to know why I wasn't informed ahead of time about an insurance issue. I forgot to ask the lady name but whomever schedules the appointments are extremely rude. read more

Parking isn't ideal, but that's the only thing that didn't go smoothly during my visit. I made an appointment over the phone, arrived on time, was seen after very little wait, and everyone was helpful. It was my first eye appointment in many years, but now I'm going to visit yearly for a check up. The interior is very beautiful! read more

I called to see if they had my contact prescription in stock. The lady who answered was extremely rude. She kept cutting me off. She told me she couldn't check over the phone I would have to physically come if I wanted to know if they had my prescription in stock. "I am no where near the contacts so I am not going to go look". Staff is friendly enough. Very busy office. I felt the doctor was very thorough and attentive. Staff took COVID precautions seriously. I would visit again. The only thing I did not appreciate is the contact fitting price of approximately $70 on top of copay and no notification before the appointment. I do not understand why I have to pay the equivalent of a box of contacts for me to try a pair of contacts. I guess this office softens the blow by deducting the fee from your insurance allowance. read more

Unfortunately I had a very rude encounter with whom, I have come to find out is the owner of this establishment. Instead of saying, "We made a mistake and should have scheduled your follow-up before you left" or "We should've let you know that you have to schedule your follow-up on your own," I was told " We don't do this for clients". I would have been fine with either because miss communication happens and they were very busy that day. She was scolding, belittling and down right nasty in her responses to me. She questioned me with sarcastic laughter and snickers when I said I was trying to see my doctor for an eye ulcer follow-up. Instead of educationing me on thier policies and means of operations, she was, for lack of better words, an "ass hole about it". I try to frequent black establishments because I love giving business to my people and keeping our money in our neighborhoods, but this will be my last visit. I had another incident during my previous eye exam here when the practitioner completed my eye exam with my contacts in and told me I have good vision. I said I know my contacts work great that's why I'm here for a re-up. She said she didn't know I had contacts in and then asked me to take them out to redo the test. Afterwards she gave me a prescription that was lower than my current contacts and I asked, "How can that be possible? Did my eyes sight get better? " She asked me what I meant by that. I provided her with my prescription for both eyes and she responded, "Oh! I guess we can go with that." I was uneasy about this but have had my eyes stay the same for the last 2 years so I went along. Very weird but I've come to the conclusion this is not the doctors office for me. With today's incident and my previous experience, I can't and will not support this establishment. read more

It breaks my heart to have to leave this review. I strive to frequent Black owned businesses, but this place is a no for me. From the poor phone service, to the actual owner that acts in a very non professional manner! My daughter was scheduled for an appointment at the Washington St location. I called an hour before the appointment to confirm, and was told that the appointment was scheduled for the Broad St location. I was confused as to why, and the receptionist informed me that they no longer have a Doctor at the Washington St location. So when was I to be informed of this change? No call, text, email, no communication at all. As I asked questions, I was rudely spoken to as if I had done something wrong. To be treated with so much disrespect, is unbelievable. I would definitely recommend this establishment get more professional people that actually knows how to speak, get more organized, and definitely get the office as a whole, more training as it relates to customer service. I wish I could give no stars that would defiantly be more fitting. They are extremely unprofessional and a complete waste of time. The Dr. lacks customer service or people skills. Staff don't give any information and they are not on the same page. One told me one thing dr. come back and say something else. They couldn't even find my sons chart. It was almost time for lunch so I was locked in and everybody just stood at the door ready to leave. So I wasn't able to get his glasses or prescription because they claim he never had an exam. Thank god for this place!!! Best service ever. I flew into New Orleans for a cruise and forgot my contacts and only had the pair of daily's in my eyes which wasn't going to work for a 5 night cruise. I only had 4 hours until the cruise left so it was a very short window to figure something out. I called right when they opened and they were so happy to help. They had my contacts ready very quickly and I went by and picked them up so easily! It was very fast service and everyone in the office was so friendly, nice, and eager to help me. In an early morning mugging, I took a fall and broke my glasses. I called several places and everyone was booked until after the weekend. These guys were booked as well, but squeezed me in after I told them my situation. They were very efficient in dealing with a full waiting room. However, I was treated with courtesy and professionalism at every step. The Optometrist took extra care to make sure my eyes were not damaged in the fall I sustained and even set me up with some sample contacts so I could see things during my vacation. I recently visits this office with my 5 year old son. The service was great but the policies in regards to certain procedures are a contradiction to what my insurance states. The frames were under warranty as long as you have all the pieces which was impossible due to the frame breaking at school and he was not in my care. Her staff clearly stated if you don't have all the pieces they can not and won't be have to replace the frame. I spoke with my insurance company while in their office and found out that was absolutely positively not true. I had them to give me a prescription for his lens and will be patronizing another optometrist. I won't ever visit this office every again. read more
