I took the first of a new type of class and way of painting. The studio lighting was low with candles on the stations next to our easels. The class was a contemporary painting that included new to me techniques and was inspired with a guided meditation. First we traced "Sacred Geometry" or a flower of life on the blank canvas for healing and transformation. Then a base color for grounding and next a guided meditation (my mom came through) then we to painted blind folded. It was a great experience. Timree is a genius and intentional without being stuffy or strict. I'm a long term paint club member it's great value and this class was priceless for me.

They used both the indoor rooms and the back patio space to highlight their students work, as well as other local creators. There was a huge selection of handcrafted mugs, bowls, jewelry dishes creative knick-knacks, and more. There was a selection of other handmade art, including jewelry, leather, and screen printed goodies. I loved that they brought in a coffee and taco vendor, keeping attendees well fed and happy. I ended up purchasing a number of items, including the most beautiful ceramic chime to hang outside. Overly impressed by this little pottery store, would love to return for a future hands on class.

We came during the week around midday, so parking was easy to find, but if you're coming on a weekend or in the evening, I'd recommend arriving early since parking is limited. Our instructor, Sage, was incredibly friendly and helpful, guiding us through the entire pottery-making process and making it feel approachable even for beginners. We made two pieces total--one hand-built and one thrown on the wheel--which was really fun and exciting to try. The whole experience was creative, relaxing, and unique. Guess what, I never got it and had to reach out again. Overall it took us over 3 months from the first class to get our pieces. It's a great concept and fun but would not recommend this business to anyone.

She was incredibly flexible with scheduling and working with me on the event planning. The location was easy to get to in Newport and the studio itself had the perfect amount of space for my group of 7 people. Be aware that you will have to pay for parking, but it's relatively inexpensive and done via app. During the event itself, Jeniece was patient and made jokes which we were very grateful for given that many of us hadn't painted or attempted visual art since high school. She provided the final product options and we voted on which we'd all complete. She was very attentive in the lesson -- she both demonstrated and walked around the class to see how we were progressing. She was incredibly positive with her feedback. My son is focused on digital art and 3D sculpting and they are teaching him the latest tools. Most importantly, like with any artist, they help him to create and improve the type of art that HE wants to create. They are great at giving guidance and providing support for him when he has questions or wants to learn new techniques. The instructors are all experienced in their respective areas and you can even see their photos and bios on the main wall when you enter the studio. They are always available at the end of class to go over what was covered in class and to answer any questions from parents as well.
