Art Eatables has its own certified chocolatier making bourbon balls with the major local distilleries along with dark, milk and white chocolate (non-alcohol) treats. Add an affordable $8 sampling flight with your choice of bourbons served up in 1/4 ounce cups. With 3 folks sampling, we were able to try 12 bourbons. There's plenty of selections and no rush to make your custom flight. Or, you can choose one of their recommended flights. Just want to browse? That's fine, too. The folks are as welcoming as your pastor at a Sunday service. Lots of themed gifts are displayed, too. Too bad it's one of Louisville's best kept secrets. A fun stop on Whiskey Row.

On a walking tour of the city, we stopped in here for our "dessert". We were all given a taste of two different chocolates. While there, we walked all around the store and bought a few things. They don't just have things to eat! I'd recommend going and getting some chocolates and seeing what else you might find!

We saw an advertisement for chocolate so obviously I had to stop in. They offer alcohol infused chocolates and alcohol free options. If you go into the alcohol area they have a bar where you can order a drink. There were also samples available. I purchased a treat that was alcohol free. I bought a milk chocolate covered oreo that had a little monster on it. It was delicious! The staff was great and answered all of our questions about their treats. The front area was well lit and when you went into the back the light was a little bit lowered to fit in with the ambience of the bourbon theme.

We had the chocolate dipped bourbon modjeskas as part of a tasting at the Old Forester Distillery Tour in downtown and I have to say that they stole the show and paired very nicely with the bourbon. It was a lovely treat for those of us who are not just there for the bourbon. These modjeskas rounded off the bourbon experience so much so that when we left the Old Forester gift shop we headed straight down the road to where they are made! This store had a wonderful selection of one of a kind treats. It was like the best one stop shop for stocking stuffers. I will definitely recommend stopping into this place to anyone who is in the downtown area!

Super cool place that I had to find after having some of their chocolates at a bourbon tasting at one of the distilleries. I bought several boxes and have opened and shared two of them so far with friends in DC and will most likely be picking up more the next time I'm in Louisville. The flavor of the individual bourbons actually comes though then eating the different chocolates. To me that's quite an achievement rather than them simply tasting like generic "bourbon". (Kudos!) I was all set to give 5 stars until reading some of the other 5-star reviews where people were raving about their tasting bar. Yes, I saw a bar in the back, but not having been there before I would have appreciated someone working there telling me about it. (And yes, I could have asked what's the deal with the bar . . . . but that's not really my job and you don't know that you don't know until someone explains it to you. The person at the entrance was very nice and informative when I first entered but I probably spent a good half hour or more in the shop, some of that time as the only customer, making my selections with no one in the back room saying a word to me. I would have appreciated banter/recommendations regarding the chocolates or and introduction to the tasting bar. My whining aside, the chocolates are phenomenal! Having a cookout tonight and will open another box or two.

Art Eatables is a must stop!! If you're on Whiskey Row, there is no reason not to stop here. There is plenty of street parking. We walked over from Evan Williams. I saw someone with a bag and asked where it was located. It's super simple to locate. The staff was amazing. I was in heaven due to so many choices. They have them arranged so easy to find what you're looking for. Regular candies and other Whiskey/Bourbon items are upfront. Chocolates with spirits are located in the back. They do offer free samples. The staff is extremely helpful trying to get you want you want. I was pleased to find I could do a tasting there in the back. It's very affordable and lots of choices. The basic tasting was $8 with 4 samples. You can upgrade for a small fee. They have a tasting witchocolatete pairings and a 4th slot you can choose. I did the latter. Mine came with Woodford Reserve Double Oaked, Blade and Bow, Minor Case Rye, and I picked Booker for upgrade. I've always wanted to try Booker. It was only $13.25, which to me was worth the experience. We had a wonderful conversation. I would say definitely stop by here. I will certainly be back and bring friends and family. Lovely gem on Main St!!

We were in Louisville trying some of the distilleries on Main Street and found Art Eatables. This was a fun little store, they walked around in the store with samples of their bourbon/whiskey truffles. I liked the truffles so well I purchased a box of them! They are not a distillery but they have bottles from all of the distilleries around town. In the back of the shop is a bar and you can sample up to 4 different bourbons or whiskeys. The name of the bar is "Baptized in Bourbon". You write the name of the whiskey or bourbon on a piece of paper that has four squares on it and based on what you chose the cashier charges you per sample, mine came to $8.50 but it can be as high as $12.50 based on what you choose. The four I chose were Basil Hayden Dark Rye, Four Gate Bourbon, Jeptha Creed bourbon, and Chicken Cock bourbon. They give you the samples on the squares where you have them written and they also give you a bottle of water that has a dropper in it. They have you try the bourbon or whiskey with no water and then to get a different flavor profile you add a couple drops of water. I will probably stop here again when I am in Louisville running around and give a different 4 bourbons a try! Only one card per customer per day.

Stopped in by accident. Did not know what is was and found out it was a chocolate fun store. I was given a sample of their candy and found it to be very good. NO doubt you can taste the bourbon. Since my father loved Wild Turkey I picked up a couple of small boxes to take back home for all to enjoy. Each small box was $11 for 4 pieces. Make sure you ask if they have a discount because they do not mention it. I always ask and this store gave me a military discount of 10%. Thank you. My daughter lives here so when she comes back from Germany I will make sure she goes in to try their chocolate.

By far one of the best chocolate shops in Louisville! I love supporting this local family shop and had not visited this particular location. So happy I spotted it next to Frazier Museum. The manager and team at this store were incredibly hospitable. The crowd was busy and they gave every person attention and help. Today's stash included chocolate dipped modjeskas, pretzel and caramel chocolate, chocolate covered orange jellies, Ballotin bourbon truffles and gummies. Art Eatables is known for its bourbon truffles but you'll be delighted at multiple other options, including sugar and nut free candies for children and the young at heart.

Came here looking for a bourbon ball which they did not serve. We instead got a sample of a bourbon truffle and bought a bunch of stuff. Cute little store with what seems like high end chocolates and other stuff. They have different bourbon balls from Different bourbon companies.

They offer valet parking for $14, but street parking was easy to find and just a short walk away. We started with the Caesar salad and the wedge salad. Both were good, although the wedge had a bit too much dressing for my taste. I ordered the filet with mashed potatoes, asparagus, and mushrooms. The filet was excellent, and while I'm not usually a mushroom person, these were truly outstanding. The bread was also some of the best I've ever had. I also ordered one of the mocktails, which I enjoyed because it wasn't overly sweet. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the service. Our waiter was efficient, but he wasn't particularly friendly, and the entire meal felt rushed. Several times, someone tried to clear my plate while I was still eating. We also had to ask for more time more than once before ordering because we felt pressured to make decisions quickly. With a bill of over $300, I expected a more relaxed dining experience where we could enjoy the evening at our own pace.

The American breakfast had large potato pieces, good sausage, and made to order eggs. Hot coffee was on the better side for hotel coffee. Dinner: they were super accommodating, as we were traveling with a friend with an infant. I called ahead to let them know we would come in with a stroller, and they made sure to sit us in an area where the stroller was not in the way of servers or other guests. Our server was one of the most attentive people I have ever met, and every recommendation they gave was fantastic. We started with the oyster rockefellar and the spicy tuna tartare. The oysters were massive and the tuna dish was so good, we got it a second time later in the weekend. We all got steaks for our mains and added a lobster tail - there was a mix up with the lobster tail taking a bit and they ended up bringing out the largest lobster tail to make up for it. All steaks, their sides, and sauces were fantastic- better than most I have had in the DC area. The food was all rich so under order or share amongst friends. Cocktails were of course fantastic, from espresso martinis to the famous smoked old fashions. We had drinks at the bar another night and the service was just as good, though they did tell us that they didn't serve the drink in a smoke box when we certainly had one just a night before.

The chocolate was great and the strawberry was better then other strawberries I've had. Still not for me. Everyone has those weird texture foods they can't eat and for some reason I'm that way with strawberries. I know, I'm a weirdo. Anyways, besides the strawberries in my goodie cup the marshmallows were top notch. Very good flavor a nice standalone treat. These aren't the type of marshmallows you roast over a campfire. Four of us had an excellent experience for our dinner in Louisville, and besides the food, a lot of that experience was due to our server, Julie. She was great, super friendly and professional, and expertly answered a ton of Bourbon-related questions from my Bourbon loving friend. My wife and I dove into the Southern theme and had a Pulled Pork Sandwich ($16), Southern Colada ($16), Fried Green Tomatoes ($10), and a Southern Gumbo ($10) for dinner. I ordered the Fried Gren Tomatoes to share with the table, and they were wonderful - "Five full moon green tomatoes fried in cornmeal and panko, topped with fresh chives and served with Doc's Remoulade". They were light as a feather, most definitely non-greasy and had a great crunch from the panko and cornmeal. My Southern Gumbo (A hearty stew filled with andouille sausage, chicken and vegetables in savory Cajun broth served over rice. Served with cornbread) was excellent. Great flavor, great spice, plenty of sausage and chicken, and excellent accompaniments in the rice and cornbread. And how could I not mention my Southern Colada, with Michter's US*1 Sour Mash, Pineapple Juice & Coconut. It was quite a bit stronger than any Colada I ever had, but I guess that can be expected when you use an 86-proof small batch Kentucky whiskey in your Colada. Of course, I loved it. This was our second visit to Doc Crow. We were there a few days ago as the first stop on our Louisville food tour and enjoyed a delicious bowl of shrimp and grits. The Doc sure treated us well. I don't know if this is a thing they do at Doc Crow's, but in my opinion the bartender excessively kept asking me what I wanted even while I was still looking at the menu. This definitely frustrated me since it was clear that I wasn't ready yet. I think she should have done a better job reading my cues to figure out when I am ready to order.
