We saw an advertisement for chocolate so obviously I had to stop in. They offer alcohol infused chocolates and alcohol free options. If you go into the alcohol area they have a bar where you can order a drink. There were also samples available. I purchased a treat that was alcohol free. I bought a milk chocolate covered oreo that had a little monster on it. It was delicious! The staff was great and answered all of our questions about their treats. The front area was well lit and when you went into the back the light was a little bit lowered to fit in with the ambience of the bourbon theme.

We had the chocolate dipped bourbon modjeskas as part of a tasting at the Old Forester Distillery Tour in downtown and I have to say that they stole the show and paired very nicely with the bourbon. It was a lovely treat for those of us who are not just there for the bourbon. These modjeskas rounded off the bourbon experience so much so that when we left the Old Forester gift shop we headed straight down the road to where they are made! This store had a wonderful selection of one of a kind treats. It was like the best one stop shop for stocking stuffers. I will definitely recommend stopping into this place to anyone who is in the downtown area!

Super cool place that I had to find after having some of their chocolates at a bourbon tasting at one of the distilleries. I bought several boxes and have opened and shared two of them so far with friends in DC and will most likely be picking up more the next time I'm in Louisville. The flavor of the individual bourbons actually comes though then eating the different chocolates. To me that's quite an achievement rather than them simply tasting like generic "bourbon". (Kudos!) I was all set to give 5 stars until reading some of the other 5-star reviews where people were raving about their tasting bar. Yes, I saw a bar in the back, but not having been there before I would have appreciated someone working there telling me about it. (And yes, I could have asked what's the deal with the bar . . . . but that's not really my job and you don't know that you don't know until someone explains it to you. The person at the entrance was very nice and informative when I first entered but I probably spent a good half hour or more in the shop, some of that time as the only customer, making my selections with no one in the back room saying a word to me. I would have appreciated banter/recommendations regarding the chocolates or and introduction to the tasting bar. My whining aside, the chocolates are phenomenal! Having a cookout tonight and will open another box or two.

Art Eatables is a must stop!! If you're on Whiskey Row, there is no reason not to stop here. There is plenty of street parking. We walked over from Evan Williams. I saw someone with a bag and asked where it was located. It's super simple to locate. The staff was amazing. I was in heaven due to so many choices. They have them arranged so easy to find what you're looking for. Regular candies and other Whiskey/Bourbon items are upfront. Chocolates with spirits are located in the back. They do offer free samples. The staff is extremely helpful trying to get you want you want. I was pleased to find I could do a tasting there in the back. It's very affordable and lots of choices. The basic tasting was $8 with 4 samples. You can upgrade for a small fee. They have a tasting witchocolatete pairings and a 4th slot you can choose. I did the latter. Mine came with Woodford Reserve Double Oaked, Blade and Bow, Minor Case Rye, and I picked Booker for upgrade. I've always wanted to try Booker. It was only $13.25, which to me was worth the experience. We had a wonderful conversation. I would say definitely stop by here. I will certainly be back and bring friends and family. Lovely gem on Main St!!

We were in Louisville trying some of the distilleries on Main Street and found Art Eatables. This was a fun little store, they walked around in the store with samples of their bourbon/whiskey truffles. I liked the truffles so well I purchased a box of them! They are not a distillery but they have bottles from all of the distilleries around town. In the back of the shop is a bar and you can sample up to 4 different bourbons or whiskeys. The name of the bar is "Baptized in Bourbon". You write the name of the whiskey or bourbon on a piece of paper that has four squares on it and based on what you chose the cashier charges you per sample, mine came to $8.50 but it can be as high as $12.50 based on what you choose. The four I chose were Basil Hayden Dark Rye, Four Gate Bourbon, Jeptha Creed bourbon, and Chicken Cock bourbon. They give you the samples on the squares where you have them written and they also give you a bottle of water that has a dropper in it. They have you try the bourbon or whiskey with no water and then to get a different flavor profile you add a couple drops of water. I will probably stop here again when I am in Louisville running around and give a different 4 bourbons a try! Only one card per customer per day.

Stopped in by accident. Did not know what is was and found out it was a chocolate fun store. I was given a sample of their candy and found it to be very good. NO doubt you can taste the bourbon. Since my father loved Wild Turkey I picked up a couple of small boxes to take back home for all to enjoy. Each small box was $11 for 4 pieces. Make sure you ask if they have a discount because they do not mention it. I always ask and this store gave me a military discount of 10%. Thank you. My daughter lives here so when she comes back from Germany I will make sure she goes in to try their chocolate.

By far one of the best chocolate shops in Louisville! I love supporting this local family shop and had not visited this particular location. So happy I spotted it next to Frazier Museum. The manager and team at this store were incredibly hospitable. The crowd was busy and they gave every person attention and help. Today's stash included chocolate dipped modjeskas, pretzel and caramel chocolate, chocolate covered orange jellies, Ballotin bourbon truffles and gummies. Art Eatables is known for its bourbon truffles but you'll be delighted at multiple other options, including sugar and nut free candies for children and the young at heart.

Came here looking for a bourbon ball which they did not serve. We instead got a sample of a bourbon truffle and bought a bunch of stuff. Cute little store with what seems like high end chocolates and other stuff. They have different bourbon balls from Different bourbon companies.

Pretty cool spot. If you're coming in from out of town it's a great spot to grab some souvenirs that are bourbon themed. The employees are super nice and willing to let you sample some honey finished in a bourbon barrel and chocolates. Nice touch so you can get a state before you commit to buying some product. Inventory doesn't turn over very much, but a solid place to check out. Not sure I'd go out of my way to visit again. Nothing negative to say about the experience so not a 3 star. Not exceptional, so not a 5 star.

Listen, we all know coconut is divisive. You either love it or hate it. It can be hard to find coconut products in a candy shop, which is a dang shame because I'm 100% team coconut. So I was delighted to discover that Art Eatables sells toasted coconut bark. Let me tell you, it is as delicious as it sounds. I split the bag (there are 3 pieces) with my husband and we both agreed that I should have purchased more. The chocolate itself is quality, and chewy toasted coconut on top makes it a candy to savor. The store itself is charming and sells a variety of gifts. They have a line of candy specifically for kids, made without nuts. Customer service was great. Note that there is metered parking around this location. Art Eatables also has a shop in the suburbs with free parking. So go treat yourself or a friend!

If you love bourbon and chocolate, this is your place! They are known for their bourbon truffles and were previously voted "Best Candy Shop in KY" by Food Network. They have partnerships with local KY distilleries to make brand specific bourbon truffles. I am a Woodford Reserve girl myself and the chocolates were heavenly. They were no longer selling Weller and Michters flavors due to the limited availability of high end bourbons right now, but had plenty of other varieties. They also sell candy shop type candies for kids and modjeskas, which are caramel coated marshmallows invented in Louisville originally.

We found this spot because of a distillery tour at Angel's Envy - they do chocolate pairings with the bourbon.

The American breakfast had large potato pieces, good sausage, and made to order eggs. Hot coffee was on the better side for hotel coffee. Dinner: they were super accommodating, as we were traveling with a friend with an infant. I called ahead to let them know we would come in with a stroller, and they made sure to sit us in an area where the stroller was not in the way of servers or other guests. Our server was one of the most attentive people I have ever met, and every recommendation they gave was fantastic. We started with the oyster rockefellar and the spicy tuna tartare. The oysters were massive and the tuna dish was so good, we got it a second time later in the weekend. We all got steaks for our mains and added a lobster tail - there was a mix up with the lobster tail taking a bit and they ended up bringing out the largest lobster tail to make up for it. All steaks, their sides, and sauces were fantastic- better than most I have had in the DC area. The food was all rich so under order or share amongst friends. Cocktails were of course fantastic, from espresso martinis to the famous smoked old fashions. We had drinks at the bar another night and the service was just as good, though they did tell us that they didn't serve the drink in a smoke box when we certainly had one just a night before.

They offer valet parking for $14, but street parking was easy to find and just a short walk away. We started with the Caesar salad and the wedge salad. Both were good, although the wedge had a bit too much dressing for my taste. I ordered the filet with mashed potatoes, asparagus, and mushrooms. The filet was excellent, and while I'm not usually a mushroom person, these were truly outstanding. The bread was also some of the best I've ever had. I also ordered one of the mocktails, which I enjoyed because it wasn't overly sweet. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the service. Our waiter was efficient, but he wasn't particularly friendly, and the entire meal felt rushed. Several times, someone tried to clear my plate while I was still eating. We also had to ask for more time more than once before ordering because we felt pressured to make decisions quickly. With a bill of over $300, I expected a more relaxed dining experience where we could enjoy the evening at our own pace.

It could just be mediocre pub food, but the food here is very, very good. I don't know why, but when I'm in the south, I get the hankering for a deviled egg. So we started with the deviled eggs (Los Huevos El Diablo), which, despite the name, were not super spicy. They had just the right amount of spice. One thing to know about me is: If I see a patty melt on the menu, I will order that. So I got the Merle's Melt, which is a burger patty with cheddar and Monterey jack cheese, plus bacon and special sauce on buttered toast. It was sublimely tasty! It comes with house-made chips, which were good. They also offer tacos on the menu. One of my children got one steak taco and one chicken taco. The tacos are topped with tomato, lettuce and cojita cheese. I was told that these were very good! My kid eats like a bird, but ate one and a half tacos, so that must say something, right? The Lip Smack'n Mac & Cheese was also ordered, as well as the fried chicken, because the menu says that the fried chicken is award-winning, so how could we not? The fried chicken was super crispy and tasty, and the mac and cheese was creamy and made with large shells, which is the best kind of pasta to use for mac and cheese (in my opinion). The service was great, the lighting was great, and we were seated quickly, even though they seemed busy. It was a good place to have a family dinner in Louisville.

The chocolate was great and the strawberry was better then other strawberries I've had. Still not for me. Everyone has those weird texture foods they can't eat and for some reason I'm that way with strawberries. I know, I'm a weirdo. Anyways, besides the strawberries in my goodie cup the marshmallows were top notch. Very good flavor a nice standalone treat. These aren't the type of marshmallows you roast over a campfire. The cookies and cake all were very good as Well with great flavor. Overall we were all impressed with what we sampled. We will have to keep this place in mind for future orders especially since my oldest daughter and wife love strawberry treats.

I don't know if this is a thing they do at Doc Crow's, but in my opinion the bartender excessively kept asking me what I wanted even while I was still looking at the menu. My top-tier chum who literally went to the school of hospitality and I spent most of the afternoon on a bourbon tour and a post-tour distillery so...food was needed. And quickly. In our mild defense, we didn't really know how the day was going to go or when we were actually going to have dinner, which made it a little tougher to pre-plan, but no research went into this at all and we paid for it. We wrapped up our bourbon adventures at the Angel's Envy distillery probably five or six blocks from here. Instead of being grownups and doing at least a quick/impromptu recon for spots, we literally just walked outside and down W Main St until we hit something. And we hit this, which was right on the edge of the main tourist area, pretty much Louisville's equivalent of the Times Square/MSG area. And as someone who works and used to live in NYC, you'd have to do a lot of convincing to get me to eat in that particular area - it's overpriced and the food/service just tends to not be very good, which makes you wonder what the appeal is for tourists beyond the convenience. But regardless, it's always struck me as an odd way for a tourism spot to put its best foot forward (or not). Doc Crow's is enormous, and when we were brought further into the restaurant to our table, I think we literally walked through three or four large rooms and navigated through multiple passageways. If you told me this place took up an entire city block or close to it, I'd believe you. Beyond the size/scope, there's nothing really distinctive that separates it from the myriad of other restaurants you'd expect to see catering to out-of-towners. It was the Friday evening of Memorial Day Weekend, so a place that I suspect is usually pretty busy was even busier and louder than that. Maybe not the greatest recipe after a bourbon tour, but who can say. On the app front, we got the Crispy Salmon Bites, which were fine. Not an item I typically see on a menu, even one with more of a seafood bent. I thought the cornmeal/panko breading was the right call; I'm a big catfish aficionado, so I'm of the opinion that cornmeal is underutilized, at least in the Northeast where I come from. Otherwise, nothing really mind-blowing there; probably would have made sense for it to be a different type of fish given the prep (I think salmon is best raw in a sushi roll or grilled), but it could have been worse. I don't think a ton of thought went into this on my end, but I went with the full rack BBQ ribs, along with a side of mac n' cheese. Again, okay, though not as flavorful as I would have hoped and I thought the ribs were on the dry side. Not their fault, but I always regret getting the full rack in hindsight because ribs have a deceptively significant amount of meat on the bones and a half rack is a very decent portion by itself; I am a work in progress just like everyone else. The mac n' cheese was also pretty dry, which I think you can see pretty obviously in the accompanying picture. Tasted and felt reheated at least once or twice. The service was pretty efficient given how busy it was, but our waiter was just on robotic autopilot. Not remotely personable and everything I said to him was responded to with, "For sure, for sure." Maybe he was having a rough night to start the holiday weekend, but it felt like he was just going through the motions and just checking off some boxes there. I went into this already predisposed to not like the generic tourist trap places, so grain of salt. But my recommendation if you have the time/bandwidth (now that I'm a cagey Louisville vet) is to bypass this area if you can and find something tastier and more interesting in the Highlands neighborhood. That's where the real ones are.
