We visited Gelato Gilberto in Norton Commons to order crepes. It clearly says outside on their window they have crepes. When I asked about crepes, the worker had no idea what I was talking about. Consider getting a razor blade and scraping that word off. We punted and ordered salted caramel and stratciatella gelato. Delicious!!!! A decent outside seating experience. Maybe worth a stop if eating at Waldos Chicken or Karem's Grill and Pub.

Excellent as always. I had the strawberry sorbet when I saw the trailer at the Cresent Hill 4th of July Festival. Was very refreshing on a hot day. Owner and staff was friendly and helpful. The sorbet was very fresh and delicious! Highly recommended!

I really liked this place. I got a small key lime pie gelato. It was so good, but it had too lime zest in it. It had graham crackers or like pie crust on top that was really good. The cookies and cream flavor was delicious. I got a small and it was plenty for me. It was $3.50 for their smallest size so it wasn't bad.

This lovely gelato place is sooooooo amazing, must try now if you read this far . The flavor is on spot, lovely atmosphere and a gorgeous outside seating... And today they are celebrating their 15 years in business. I tried the pistachio gelato and I couldn't stop until it's gone . We loved it,the kids loved it just amazing...

Somehow we found ourselves driving through Norton Commons a couple weeks ago. I honestly have no idea how we ended up there, but suddenly my wife was buried in her phone and started giving me "turn left down this street", "go around this corner" and "no that that corner, THIS corner". After winding through several streets in the greater Norton Commons area we stopped in front of Gelato Gilberto. We got out of the car and she said "Follow me". What was I going to do? NOT follow her? I didn't make it 24 years by not following her, so in we go. This Saturday evening was pretty quiet as my wife dragged me in (ok, she didn't really drag me, but I was missing the James Bond marathon on TNT) for Gelato. Gelato Gilberto is a quaint little place that offers more than just Gelato. 24 flavors of Gelato, to be exact, in 3 different sizes and a waffle cone option. What's really cool about it is that you can mix/match flavors in your cone/waffle bowl. I had a medium bowl with a mix of Mango and Mixed Berries and it was a very good combination. The girl behind the counter was helpful in educating us what our options were (sizes) and to help answer our questions about the flavors and providing samples on an itty bitty spoon. Gelato Gilbert also offers Nutella crepes (which I REALLY need to make a return trip for) and a small section called Itty Bitty Italy where you can find a few items specific to Italy. It was a great experience for a frozen treat when we ended up somewhere we didn't expect. A treat not entirely unlike James Bond might have gotten, had not stayed home to watch his own marathon on TNT.

If you're looking for something different and love ice cream, go here. Just go you won't be disappointed! It's in a very unique part of town. It's very quiet and peaceful. They offer many flavors and they are ever changing so you could try new flavors often. Both types we tried were very creamy and flavorful. They do offer outdoor seating. I recommend sitting outside and enjoying it. It's a very relaxing experience. One of my new favorite ice cream spots !

Over the hills & through the woods....just playing In the middle of Norton Commons is this little gem. If you enjoy gelato it's worth the drive. Their goat cheese & fig gelato is silky, sweet & slightly tangy. It was divine. It brought me back to my trip to Germany where I had gelato for the first time. They also have pastas, espresso, and other Italian items to purchase. È Delizioso

Take the deliciousness of a regular ice-cream cone, times it by a million, then sprinkle it with crushed-up unicorn horns. That's my review about the Italian gelato I had here. I love this place! It's perfectly located, has great flavours, is inexpensive. What else do you want? I had the birthday cake, blue sky, chocolate dirt. AMA-ZING! 2 small sized flavours will cost $7.29. You can also get 2 flavours in one cup.

New sweet spot off Frankfort ave & I'm hooked! I live down the road and have already tried 4-5 flavors and each one is amazing. The Pistachio has been my favorite! He has some crazy cool flavors he mixes together & the gelato itself is such great quality. Smooth, creamy, and yummy! The owner is always so nice & as are the employees we've encountered since they recently opened. Glad to see they have made there way from Norton Commons to Frankfort Ave for a 2nd spot!

Cute little Gelato store in an adorable city with lots of shopping. There were a decent amount of flavors to choose from and they all sounded great. The cups they served the gelato in were super cute. I got Salted Caramel and the toffee, both of which were fantastic. My husband ordered a chocolate cherry which was good (mine were better ^^) The decor in the place was nice, clean and pinterest cute. My only complaint is that the person serving the gelato wasnt wearing gloves.

Small gelato--chocolate cheesecake and tiramisu, because I couldn't decide.

Absolutely delicious, fresh gelato. The last time I had gelato this good was in Brooklyn at a food cart outside a NYC Italian restaurant. The staff was kind enough to let us try a few samples, and we were very happy with what we ended up with. Not to be missed!

Something I never thought to try: bread! While I don't remember what this sundae was called, or precisely what the toppings were, but I do remember the base was a piece of flame(?)-toasted brioche. Not only did it do a great job of absorbing any melting ice cream, it also complimented the flavors and textures. As for the gelato itself, while I typically do not go for vanilla, in combination with the sauce and other ingredients, it worked phenomenally well! I felt that the value proposition was fair considering I devoured this thing like no one's business, and wanted to ask for seconds. The vibe is what I would describe as hip and cute. While my adjectives may be far off, it was a comfortable space to spend some time with a friend. Final verdict: I don't make it down to E-Town very often at all, but you can be sure I will make it a point to return to the Dreamery when I am in KY next.

I appreciated they sent out a snapshot of their menu early on. I got a strawberry french toast crepe. It was thick, closer to pancake consistency with syrup soaked in and fresh strawberries on top. I was expecting something lighter but this was very filling. I also got a breakfast crepe with bacon. It was stuffed with eggs, cheese and fresh spinach. The bacon was crumbled and they gave us a ton of it. Depending on your hunger level you might split them into two meals or share. Along with a bottled water I got a Dole pineapple whip. Pineapple juice, bits of pineapple and vanilla sorbet. Really good, not overly sweet because the gelato calms it down but it warmed up about midway through and needed ice or to be chilled. Drink fast! Overall I highly recommend a savory crepe. Huge, filling and not heavily breaded as compared to my strawberry crepe.

I'm the furthest thing from an expert on crepes so I'm not 100% sure how long it takes to cook a crepe, plus we got 4 crepes, so maybe that's why? Either way, it was well worth the wait! The crepes were AWESOME! The savory crepes were delicious, but of course, I thought the sweet crepe we had (strawberry french toast crepe) was outstanding! I will definitely hit up this food truck if I ever get the chance to!
