Art eatables is the second location for this local candy factory located off linn station road in a shopping center in the east end of the city of Louisville. Art eatables proudly boasts that according to the food network they are Kentucky's best candy shop. They also have a massive selection of bourbon infused chocolates. So it does not get much more Kentucky then that! On my trip here the workers were super nice and helpful in offering input about the product and there setup. The worker explained to me that despite this being the second location they actually make all the candy there on site for both stores. I was with my pregnant wife and my 4th born and current youngest daughter so the worker showed them the non alcoholic candy section while browsed for some Bourbon Infused candies. The layout here is very cool and fun to browse. Between the three of us we did a good sampling of candies. For my bourbon candy I went with a makers mark mint julep truffle. They were amazing. So good with a great flavor. For our non alcohol selections I went with a White chocolate cinnamon Chimeres. Once again it was amazing. Tasted like red hots candy and so smooth and silky. Melts in your mouth. Great tasting candy. My 18 month old got her a bag of gummy bears and my wife got Dark chocolate candied orange peels. Both are there candies and appeared to be big fans. Pricing as can be expected is a bit on the high end. But this is top notch, high quality and unique candy experience. One nice thing is you do get a 10 percent yelp coupon when checking in. So be sure to take advantage of that. Overall we had a great visit here. Such a cool shop and everything here was so good. I love bourbon. I love chocolate. So what's not to love here?

We distributed Art Eatables to our wedding party. They all were overjoyed to try the bourbon-infused chocolate. My friend and I went in here to buy them, and we had the chance to meet the owner. She was a joy to interact with and she has a pretty amazing story behind her art. Needless to say, I understand why they have multiple locations. As far as the chocolate itself, they are bourbon-infused from all different types of distilleries! I think you get a healthy mix of the taste of bourbon and chocolate with the perfect recipe for a joyous dessert. I would encourage anyone to enjoy them in moderation because it is a rich. She makes different variations of chocolate to correspond with the different bourbons. She also sells other items chocolate-related and merchandise that goes well with the Art Eatables theme. I really like this place and it is worth checking out one of their locations when in Louisville.

I love this place! I have been using their 4 piece box of Bourbon chocolates for Derby guests for a few year now--and it is always a big hit! People love these. Yum! The staff is super friendly and helpful, and good customer service is rare these days. Much appreciated! The East end shop is so cute! This is the perfect place to stop in for a gift...or a treat for yourself. I was super excited to be part of the Yelp event, and there were some nice goodies in a lovely box, most happily I savored the chocolates they gave me...still as delicious as ever!

Good news!! Art Eatables is still over Linn Station! If you need a place to find unique and flavorful gifts for your family and friends, or just for yourself! Art Eatables is great place to stop. You will find chocolate, choclate infused with alcohol, fun gifts and stocking stuffers for anyone on your list. Not only is the candy fantastic, but it is also a nut-free kitchen - one of a kind!! Their candies range from their wickedly awesome Chimeres, an original creation that will make your mouth pop with zing!! They melt into your mouth and leave a long-lasting flavor for your taste buds to luxoriate in. Check out their website to find the appropriate pairings for each one. My favorite is the Cinnamon. I stopped by during a Yelp event and bemoaned the fact that Cinnamon Jujus are disappearing from the shelves. Kelly urged me to try the Chimeres and I was absolutely hooked. Today I picked up some of the orange also, I thought it would pair well with a chocolate-orange tea I have. For our son & wife in Germany, mint-chocolate chip lovers, I picked a pack of the Makers Mark Mint Julep Truffels. I cannot wait to hear their reactions for both these and the Chimeres. Star Wars Chocolates make a great stocking stuffer for your sci fi fans and other Kentucky novelties like horseshoes and such. All the things we love in one sweet little shop!!

I love the bourbon chocolates from Art Eatables but have not been downtown much in the past year. I was really excited when they opened their pop up shop in Plainview. Today was my first visit as I was looking for some Easter candy! They have a really nice selection of chocolates and other novelty candy and of course all of the bourbon themed chocolates. I even picked up a Bourbon tshirt while I was there! If you check in on the Yelp app, you get a free piece of bourbon chocolate. Kelly was delightful to talk to! Check it out if you need a chocolate fix for yourself or a gift for out of town visitors!

They were only a ten minute walk from [The Galt Hotel] which really made all our walks convenient. I walked in to this very cool and comfortable shop and congratulated them that they have the only person from New York who does not drink Bourbon in their shop which gave everyone a smile but they said... "Not too worry, we are more than just straight Bourbon." Loved all the different types of art hanging on the walls, on the shelves and on the floor. It was at that point that they started to give me and my friends different sample of their homemade chocolate and bourbon balls. I read in one review that they have their own certified chocolatier who is making these things and they are good!!! The team here was so kind and helpful and I can tell you that they had everything Bourbon. A fun experience and next visit will bring back some of these items for my friends. I am sure that they too will appreciate. KUDOs to the team at Art Eatables.

We arrived at 7:50 PM for an 8 PM reservation. We got cocktails at the bar, a whiskey sour and a Cosmo. Truthfully, we were not really impressed with our drinks. We were then seated around 8:15 PM. I tend to be picky regarding reservation times and honoring them so I was displeased by the wait... to my surprise this restaurant walked away with a 5 star review regardless. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Provided good recommendations that I'm sure improved our overall experience. We ordered the old fashion to share, per our waitresses recommendation and it made up for the pre-dinner cocktails! Delicious! Our appetizers, the burrata and heirloom tomatoes & stracciatella, were a good start! Good flavor and light enough for the starter. However, the French onion gratinee stole the show. Presentation was beautiful and flavor was on point for a classic French onion soup. I ordered the belly-on pork tomahawk and was very pleased with the tenderness and flavor, especially when I asked it to be cooked more medium well. My husband got the 22oz dry aged ribeye, the repeal way with the crab on top. He requested it be cooked medium rare plus and that's exactly what he received. He expressed how amazing the steak was cooked and the flavor. We shared a side of whipped Yukon potatoes that weren't too hot to dig into! These were creamy/buttery and perfect side for our entrees. As you can imagine, we were too full to have dessert but took a piece of cheesecake to go and shared later. I was shocked at how much I enjoyed the cheesecake. The blueberry compote was a delicious addition but the plain cheesecake shines all on its own! If I'm ever back in Louisville. I will be back and I'm bringing my friends.

It could just be mediocre pub food, but the food here is very, very good. I don't know why, but when I'm in the south, I get the hankering for a deviled egg. So we started with the deviled eggs (Los Huevos El Diablo), which, despite the name, were not super spicy. They had just the right amount of spice. One thing to know about me is: If I see a patty melt on the menu, I will order that. So I got the Merle's Melt, which is a burger patty with cheddar and Monterey jack cheese, plus bacon and special sauce on buttered toast. It was sublimely tasty! It comes with house-made chips, which were good. They also offer tacos on the menu. One of my children got one steak taco and one chicken taco. The tacos are topped with tomato, lettuce and cojita cheese. I was told that these were very good! My kid eats like a bird, but ate one and a half tacos, so that must say something, right? The Lip Smack'n Mac & Cheese was also ordered, as well as the fried chicken, because the menu says that the fried chicken is award-winning, so how could we not? The fried chicken was super crispy and tasty, and the mac and cheese was creamy and made with large shells, which is the best kind of pasta to use for mac and cheese (in my opinion). The service was great, the lighting was great, and we were seated quickly, even though they seemed busy. It was a good place to have a family dinner in Louisville.
