I wish I could give this place zero stars. The customer service is terrible, and the younger woman (who I believe might own the salon) is extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. I went in asking only for gel polish removal, and I was told that was fine. After sitting there silently with my hands soaking in acetone for 20 minutes, I was told I'd need to pay the full price of a manicure--$35 for a gel soak-off. This was never mentioned upfront, and by the time they told me, it was too late to walk out. I will never return, and I strongly advise others to avoid this place. Read a lot about this place on yelp. Looking for a new place since my nail girl recently left my salon. The woman who did my manicure was nice. I work in a hospital and wash my hands a lot. Therefore my cuticles are soft and slightly cut. She pointed out all of my "boo-boos" on my fingers which kinda was embarrassing. The manicure itself was okay. This used to be a great salon until recently. The new people are not friendly at all. And when they did my pedicure, they dug so deep that my and my daughters toes were bleeding!!! So I reached out and gave my feedback to management and thought I would give them another chance. But they put me with the same lady that snipped the skin on my thumb! And my gel manicure lasted less than one week! I think two chances is enough for me. read more

I recently moved to the area from New York and was looking for a new nail salon. I'm eight months pregnant and with the pandemic, had not been out in public in a year. Post-vaccine, I made my appointment and am so glad I did. Their COVID precautions are excellent. There was only one other client in the large, airy spa area, and they had spotless clear dividers for the manicure area. The entire staff was warm and welcoming. I had one of the best massage pedicures and manicures of my life. I will definitely be coming back! read more

I used to love this salon. I thought it to be the highest quality in the area. I began getting gel and LCD (overlay) manicures in 2015 and started going regularly to this salon in 2016. The quality and customer service has gone down exponentially. While the ladies who work at the salon are largely very sweet and kind, the manager, Cindy lacks customer service and quality nail treatment training. During these expensive manicures, she would answer the phone multiple times without apology. In addition, I once left the salon with crooked nails and when I asked her to fix them, she had quite an attitude and never apologized for the shoddy service. On a follow up visit, when I asked her to reshape my nails to the "coffin" shape - she asked me if I was sure multiple times, as if my request for her to fix her haphazard manicure in the previous appointment was somehow a change of heart on my part. I will never recommend this salon again, as I was incredibly generous and kind to the staff there, and was treated quite poorly. read more

I have been to the salon twice and will return today for a manicure. It is a very clean, comfortable salon. The women who do nails/toes are very nice. A few special features of this salon: There is a calm, spa-like quality to it. There is always spa-like soft music playing and from the pedicure chairs, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Sourland Moutains and/or the opposing wall to the salon with a very nature-oriented mural. Now about the services...I have had both manicures and pedicures there, both of which are probably the best I have ever had. For some reason, even their "regular" polish seems to last longer than other salons. The hot stone massage I received during my pedicure usually is an add-on at most salons. I have been going to Art Nail for many years, I find the salon very clean and the manicure/pedicure is always great. Cindy and the ladies have done a great job with making people feel safe during the pandemic. You must call and make an appointment, no walk-in appointments currently. You get your temperature taken when you arrive, and sign a waiver to get your treatment. It is spaced out nicely and the person doing my pedicure was wearing a protective face cover. The manicure stations have Plexiglass between you and the technician. I felt very safe and happy that they are open again. read more

Sometimes, you just want a pedicure. It's summer, it's hot, and your flip-flopped feet look a little meh. And sometimes you just want a little color in your life, and getting your nails done is surely less drastic than dyeing your hair some cuckoo color that may look like crap on you. I was having a moment where I needed all of the above today, and while on my way to my parents to get empty boxes, I thought it would be a nice treat to go and get a pedicure, and maybe my eyebrows waxed if they offered that service. I had known about Art Nail Salon because I passed it's grand opening sign a couple times before, so I stopped in there, thinking that because they were new it wouldn't be too crowded. I was right, and as suspected, I was immediately ushered inside to pick out my color of toenail polish (some sort of lilac, or is it lavender? Whatever). Then I got on "the throne", as I like to call it. "The throne" is basically a raised leather chair with a little spa tub at your feet. You put your feet into hot, bubbling water, and just go ahhhh. This is typical of a nail salon. What made this place stand out was what the nail technician did to my little feets. First she takes something organic and squishy out of a tub. I was like, "WHOA HEY WHAT'S THAT... oooh...." It was just squidgy chunks of aloe. Aloe! Hey! Good for you, yey! She rubbed it on each foot, and then, rubbed it on each of my lower legs. Then, she took out this sort of scrubby exfoliation paste (maybe almond? maybe?), and exfoliated my feet and legs. Usually other nail salons will take some sort of scary pumice stone and scrape the bottoms of your feet, and if you're at all ticklish (*ahem*), it's really awful. But she like, massaged it in, and it was soooo nice. After rinsing my legs and feet, she spent a good three minutes on each leg/foot massaging some sort of oil into me. Like for real, massage. Sooo nice. And then came the hot towels!!! Ahhhh! So relaxing! I was beginning to feel drowsy, so I asked if they did waxing so I could request my brows done, too. After she painstakingly took off whatever that didn't belong on my feet as far as dead skin goes (ew), she painted my toes like a pro and we were off to the wax room. Now, to a normal, non-salon going person, this may sound shady, but I assure you it's not. In a little back room there was a prettified doctor's table, and she told me to lay down on my back. After waxing below my eyebrows, she waxed above them, which in most places you have to ask them to do. And then usually after that, they rub some goop on you and you're done. But no! The nice lady took about 5 min to clean me up with some extra pointy tweezers. See, I had brought along my own tweezers, thinking I would have to do this later myself. Nope! I was so impressed, I called my Mom from the foot drying station to rave about their services. I'll definitely be back, either with my Mom or little sister in tow. Good stuff! read more

i have never seen anyone do nails better than these people. i got gel done and they are AMAZING. they have a lot of colors to chose from. i just got mine done today, but i will edit this review when they start chipping/peeling. my friend got acrylics with me and they took a while, which is good because they were so precisely done. my other friend got a regular manicure, and hers also looked great. everyone working there is great. their prices are also very low which is good. i've only been here once, but this is my new go to salon. read more

I've been getting gel manicures from Heidi at Art Nail for almost 10 years. The salon is elegant/upscale, and Heidi and the other nail technicians are extremely proficient and knowledgeable. Every year I make the mistake of going on a family beach trip without leaving time to get my bi-weekly "fill," and I inevitably end up searching for a salon at my vacation spot. I am always hopeful that I'll get lucky, but not once have I gotten a gel manicure elsewhere that comes close to a "Heidi-level" gel manicure. In fact, I'm always anxious to return to Art Nail and Heidi to get my nails fixed/redone after visiting another salon. While I'm officially Heidi's client, I have definitely had the pleasure of getting manicures/pedicures from all of the other technicians at Art Nail over the years, so whenever our schedules conflict, I do not hesitate to get my nails done by any other technician there. read more
