I went to Art Nails for the first time on 5/29. I had an appointment and had to wait over 45 minutes just to get a mani/ pedi done. Howie did my gel manicure and messed up countless times. He then tried to blame me because of "how my hand was positioned". I went to get a pedicure and my nail was still messed up!! It's been only a few days and I have a few minor chips. I will NOT be coming back and will stick to my normal spot. I would have given 1 star but the owner was so sweet. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. I went with my sister-in-law, mother-in-law, niece and nephew to get a mani-pedi. I had never been here before. My sister-in-law and I are about the same size, only I am a little taller. They try to put me on a bench for a pedicure stating I looked too heavy for their massage chair! The same chair that my sister-in-law just sat in! The owner proceeded to tell me there is a weight limit of 250. She didn't ask if I exceeded that, she just assumed. The truth is, my sister-in-law actually weighs more than 250, but was comfortably placed in a massage chair. I fit in every airplane seat, roller-coaster ride and pedicure chair I have ever encountered. I was astounded that they would do this AND expect me to pay full price. I didn't stay. I of course would not spend a dime there. Obviously I didn't fit in for a variety of reasons. If you "look" like you weigh more than 250, and perhaps other distinguishing factors, avoid this place. read more

My friends and I visited art nails on a busy Saturday, after being turned down from a different nail salon for the wait, we decided waiting the 30 minutes or so at art nails would be fine. I have never been there and to say that my first experience was irritating and frustrating are underrated. Not only were we taken after other walk ins came in, when it was finally our turn for a pedicure the water was cold. Not only was the employee doing my friends pedicure rude during, but she didn't turn the dryer machine on and when she asked her to, the lady just said 'you pay now' over and over. And after she paid, she asked again, yelling across the salon. After my feet had been soaking for about 10 minutes, the woman came to start on mine. She didn't like that I didn't want a nail cut down (they were previously cut too short so the cut wasn't necessary) she then proceeded to remove the previous nail polish and started talking to her coworker, the co worker proceeds to look up at me and continue talking. This happens for a couple of minutes, so I'm thinking something is wrong. The employee then brings presumably the owner and she says 'honey let me see your feet'. I take my feet out of the water and she says 'your dry skin we can't do the pedicure get up' she proceeds to paint my toes and tell me I was done without continuing the pedicure because of dry skin on my feet. Never have I been told or refused service because of dry skin on my feet...i needed an eyebrow wax and decided to rough it in order to not give any more money. I went here for a pedicure a couple days ago and although the callus removal and massage was good, the service provider got a little carried away and left a large brush burn on the outside of my foot. I went here to get a manicure. It was pretty busy when I went, and I did not have an appointment, but they managed to get me right in. It's slightly outdated inside, but it's pretty clean, and everyone I encountered who works there was very friendly. They have a wide variety of colors to choose from, including acrylic and gel choices. My nail tech did a great job. He was quick, but thorough, and my nails looked great when he was done. The only complaint I have is that I got my nails done less than 24 hours ago, and I can see scratches and marks in the polish--I think it's because the top coat the tech used is a little soft. Otherwise, I can't really complain for a $12 manicure. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick, cheap, decent manicure, and I will probably go back. read more

The past few times I have been here they have messed up my nails. They are constantly putting the wrong color on me and claiming it will "change" or it will look better in "different lighting". $65 for a gel mani and pedi and I ended up with two colors on my toes and fingers and neither one was the color I originally wanted. I used to get my nails done here when I had fake nails and they were great. Since I took those things off (thank god!) I only go here for pedicures. Their massage chairs are great. The waterfall is awesome to look at and they do a good job. They even have little chairs for kids! I saw Lee to do my fill and some nail art after a recommendation from others and one person specifically. I called the day before and got in the next day which was today. I didn't have to wait very long at all when I was told to sign in. Lee brought me over to her station and I told her that I wanted a fill and some nail art. I was told by Julie the owner yesterday on the phone my fill would cost $15. When Lee asked me how long I want to keep them I said just take a little off, as my nails are long. I had no idea that it would be $5 more to keep them long on top of the $15. She said if they were shorter it would be $15. I was taken aback by this, cause I thought that $15 was a good price before I found out that it would be $20 for a fill for my length of nails. My nails aren't that long. I was there and said ok, cause I wanted to try this place. And my nails would be painted for no extra charge in the $20, except nail art. Which is $10 for all 10 fingers of nail art if u want. Basically $1 a nail compared to paying by the nail, which is $2.50 per nail if u want one or two or something art wise done to those nails. So since it's thanksgiving I wanted something kinda festive. I asked Lee what examples of nail art can she show me and she said pick something off Pinterest. I would have gone on Pinterest last night to pick my fave nail art if I knew they wouldn't have any good examples for me to pick from. So while she was filing my nails with one hand looked on Pinterest for something great. Wasn't really finding something I really liked in the amount of time I had to find something until I quickly found this simple design with the middle fingers having leaves on them with a light background and a gold glitter finger and the others a rich dark brown with brushed gold nail jewelry that complimented the gold used in the one nail. She showed me the nail embellishments she had and I didn't like them for my design. The closest color was a yellow very small jewel. The selection was limited anyway. So next time I'll bring my own nail embellishments. She said they don't have exact colors so to chose the colors from what they have. I was able to get somewhat similar shades, but not as nice as in the picture. Good enough but not exact. So I noticed later they don't have a lot of good shades to choose from overall and talked to a lady who's been coming to Lee for a couple months and says for that same reason she brings her own polish. I have a ton of good polish that I like at home that I don't use anymore. So I think I will bring my own polish next time. So as far as the art goes she did a pretty good job. It's not perfect like the pic, but pretty darn close. The only thing I would say is I had a harder time with communication at times. I have a harder time understanding people with accents. My nails look pretty good except the narrowness of my two middle fingers and on a few nails it's a little bit thick near my cuticle where it should be more flush. My nails are a bit sharp even though I asked her to soften the sharpness. Next time I'll just take the file and soften the corners and edges myself. I have acrylics on for the sole purpose of stopping myself from scratching myself to death. So having nails that are not rough or sharp helps me from doing that. Otherwise it does no good. It's hard to tell someone u have a condition. Overall she did a god job. They take credit cards, but was disappointed when Lee said she wants her tips in cash. I was told by Julie yesterday they take credit. Never mentioned I should have cash for tips. It's a good thing I had cash on me. I would have rather had the tip on my credit card. Just be forewarned to bring cash too. The atmosphere was clean and modern and had a toenail and nail combo drying station Lee sent me to dry my nail polish for 15 minutes. I was impressed that they had such a contraption. There was another customer who had a pedicure done on the other side drying her toenail polish and talked to her for a couple minutes about her experience of going there and that her daughter goes there a lot. She seemed like she liked the service. I saw the waterfall wall to my right and thought that was cool. So I will give Lee another shot and go in prepared with nail jewelry, my own nail polish and my design for nail art already picked out in advance for my whole 10 fingers and see how she does. The price is cheaper than my previous nail salon. At my previous salon, I had to pay $23 for a fill that just included pink, not the white part. Nail polish wasn't included and costed me $10 extra bucks plus $2 a nail for nail art per finger. Plus she only took cash. She did a good job on my nails, the communication was better but I thought I would try finding a cheaper place that did a good job too. So, I will see if cheaper is better. And she did good work for the most part, except for what I mentioned above. If u were recommended to Lee I say giver her a try! read more

I enjoyed going here for a little bit and for the most part it's pretty nice. The atmosphere is a bit intimidating when it comes to trying to talk with the nail techs. It is very clear who they favor and who has been coming to see them for awhile. Some of the techs are nice and some do good work. Key word is SOME. That is where my issue comes in. With how big this place is and with how many nail techs they have, everyone should be good across the board, however they are not. The first few times I went, I got very good nail techs but the last few times I went I got ones who clearly weren't happy to be working and that showed on my nails. They started falling off less than two weeks and when I did get a fill done on that set, the guy who did it didn't clean off the previous polish well so it showed through my French manicure. And because he didn't take one of the nail's off and instead just filled it, it ended up coming off a few days later. I truly thought this place was my new spot but unfortunately they too fall short. read more
