I was considering making an appointment at this nail spa. I was hesitant because the reviews were horrible. When I discovered they were several years old, and I saw the current ones, I made an appointment. They were able to get me in by splitting my nail removal with one tech and the polish etc. with another. It worked perfectly and the techs were all very nice. Was excited to try this place based on reviews, but the service and quality was honestly terrible. I had a regular pedicure and powder manicure. The pedicure was fine, I guess, but the manicure was not only painful with the technician nipping healthy cuticles on multiple occasions but it also took almost 2 hours. Despite taking about a full hour longer than it should, the powder started chipping within a week. I have been getting powder manicures by competent technicians for years and have never had one nail chip that early, let alone multiple. Wouldn't have mentioned this otherwise but since this was not a great experience, who cares - there was also another technician that was super loud in conversation with her client, talking about being hungover, gossiping about clients and just generally being obnoxious. Why do people pay money to go here? It's baffling. read more

I've been there twice. Both times they did a horrible job on my nails. Acrylic is not their jam. Pedicure they did my polish fist and then put my feet in cold water, and rubbed my legs for a short period of time with cold rocks. And charged me 50.00 bucks. read more

I went here twice, I loved it the first time, the girl was super quiet but nice and she did a great job. I ended up making another appt to get the apres gel x refresh which was probably 3 or 4 weeks after my original appointment and a few of my nails were looking like they needed to be removed for sanitation reasons however I didn't say anything because I had never gotten the gel x or a refresh before and didn't know how it worked. The 3 nails I was worried about are horrendous, I have never had nail fungus in my life until I went to this salon. I would rather have been charged more to remove and replace those nails instead of ignore it, the French tips were messy and I hadn't realized there was a tab to select nail art before the appointment and when I was told it would be extra it felt very hostile. I was totally fine with that as it was my mistake and I even told her to just do the one hand because I was so anxious about the whole interaction. I will not be coming back here sadly. read more

Been getting gel x for over a year and never had an experience like this. I'm from out of state and finally found a salon that does gel x that actually has openings.. soon to find out why they have so many openings. I went to the salon twice, a total of 4 1/2 hours in 11 days. The first time I was with ally, great shaping, but within the first week nails were lifting and also popped off. I spoke to Amy, the owner, who has never done nails herself, offered a refund and for me to come back in. Mind you, when I was in ally's chair a client came in saying she had a nail that popped off AGAIN. Red flags were alarming for me. I came back for another appointment, Amy had a tech come in early for me to fix my nail that broke my natural nail pretty bad and did a whole new set this time with Kaitlyn. Again sweet girl, but when she was curing the nail there were air pockets that were not cured and I pointed this out to her and she said that's okay the nail is sealed.. three days later I have more nails popping off and in pain due to this. I called Amy back and at that point she said her techs "no longer want to deal with me and aren't comfortable" almost as if it was my fault for their errors. Another client of allys, different from the one already mentioned prior, while I was there for the second time, said their nail popped off as well. Overall bad business, no learning to growth mindset because obviously it is an issue on the techs side given it's happened to me and two others that I witnessed. Wouldn't recommend or step foot in there, it's very much the business model of typical salons for quick money, but with all English speaking techs. Truly a shame and waste of my time. read more

First time at Indigo and we had a great experience! We looked online and saw their Chocolate and Strawberry Pedicure special and decided to book appointments. They were ready for us right when we walked in. Although they didn't have a huge color selection, the colors they did have were fun and attractive. As soon as we sat in our pedicure chairs they brought out heated neck wraps and bottles of water. Conversation flowed easily and I feel like I got a lot out of my $29 pedicure as it included a hot stone massage, a chocolate scrub and strawberry lotion. My nails look terrific! read more

I wrote this message to the nail salon about 4 days after my visit with them. I sent it to them via two separate platforms and waited over 2 weeks for a response, which I never got. "Last week my daughter and I got powder dip manicures and regular polish pedicures. Although our experience was fun and the nail techs were very kind and patient with us, I'm very disappointed in the outcome. I'll start by saying that we would have returned to the salon in hopes of having things fixed, but my wedding was 3 days away and we left the next day for the wedding weekend. We did not have time and had already spent an hour longer at the salon than planned. My powder dip was unacceptable. They were uneven on the surface of the nail and the top coat was visibly streaked and not smooth. I was trying to convince myself to let it be, I wasn't a very high strung bride and I already paid for them. But, the next day one of my nails had a crack in it (not sure how that even happened) and a second one started lifting at the cuticle. The dip was really thick and in the end I had to go to a salon where we were staying and get them completely redone. My pedicure polish looks great. However, my three smallest toes have abrasions right before the cuticle starts. They stung at the salon once the nail tech was done buffing, so I told her that and she apologized and had me put my feet in the water. They are still sore and I have professional wedding photos of my feet with these marks on them now. This was not a fixable situation, my plan as of now is to pay someone to edit these specific photos extra. My daughter got a powder dip on her nails. She loves it, but 3 of her nails are chipped at the cuticle and hers are pretty thick as well. I understand that feedback is the most valuable thing in your industry, so I wanted to tell you about our experience. It makes me sad to say negative things, though, especially because you were all very kind to us. Thanks for your time. I used to go here all the time a few years ago and my nails were great every time and the two nail technicians i loved ended up leaving. I decided to start going again and went to get my nails done for an upcoming vacation. The technician i went to was nice enough but not as friendly as the others i've been to. I got gel done the day before vacation and they looked fine but started chipping 3 days later. My boyfriend ended up proposing to me on this trip and unfortunately my nails were a mess (5 days after getting them done). I was able to save a nail on my own but all but 1 of my nails have chips on them 6 days after getting them done. It was a very disappointing experience to what I remembered years ago. read more

I tried this place twice and the staff is amazing and friendly. Always great conversation. The salon is beautiful and clean. My only complaint is that the dip powder was not properly applied. There were just a few steps missing and my nails chipped and the powder cracked by the 5th day. They only guarantee their work for 5 days including the day of service so I feel like they know it's not going to last. A properly applied dip powder has lasted me four weeks without a single crack or chip in the past so while I really liked it here, I am sad to say I won't be back. read more

I had a peppermint facial with Aimee and it was such a relaxing, positive experience. Aimee is such a sweet, soft spoken owner who really seems to appreciate her customers. The facial was long and gentle, full of lots of smells and creams and oils along with my choice of music. Extractions were surprisingly tolerable. I'm new in the area and after looking through several nail salons reviews, I decided to pay Indigo Nail Spa a visit. Needless to say, this place is an absolute gem! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with several smiles, the nail techs are wonderful, polite and courteous to all their customers. The decor is BEAUTIFUL! It's a fairly new place; they just opened in August of this year and you can definitely notice that the owner put so much effort into trying to please all the clients. From all the horror you can have, horrible service, lying about costs, burnt fingers, ruined nail beds, not listened to, it all! Indigo Nail Spa is the complete opposite!! Such an amazing team. Such a talented group, they all work together so everyone is on time, and no customer is having to wait. You receive complimentary warm neck wraps, and water as wanted. They take their time and always double check that you're comfortable, and not in pain. When I first got my gel manicure I picked a bad polish, and the color pay off was simply not there and they offered multiple coats and a color change free of charge, but I liked it and kept it! They discarded the polish after finding that out, and I promise you all other products are 100% up to par. Amy, the owner consistently checks in with everyone and ensures a wonderful time. The ladies at indigo take the time and talk personally, as a group, and is more or a comfortable hangout spot rather than feeling like a bother, and rushed. The overall work is phenomenal. I've gotten a gel manicure, and powder dip with extensions. Have met all the workers, and are all phenomenal whether it be pedicure, mani, or poly gel with length so you never have to worry about subpar quality. The price may seem a little higher than your average door to door nail salon, but I promise you it's 100% worth it. Stopping into indigo nail spa is more of an experience and treating yourself, rather then a quick run to the grocery store. You will not regret it. Awful experience. I decided to try this new place to support new businesses in my town and it turned out to be a bust. My appointment was at 1130- I arrived at 1125, and sat in the chair for my pedicure. After asking, more than once, I was pointed in the right direction of colors and given two displays of gel colors. Once seated, my pedicure began, about 45 minutes in she began to paint my toes, but the "color" was clear as opposed to the opaque I had told the girl I was looking for. She stopped and I picked another color. She was not helpful in assisting despite me asking and hoping she as familiar with their products. She was very familiar with "sticky" the product she put on before the polish. I went to get another color and when I came back, my girl was not there and another girl was spraying and cleaning my tub and seat. I asked if I should sit and explained I wasn't finished. I sat for the polishing and my girl returned. The music changed at this point and I was displaced from a Penfield nail salon to what felt like a club for high schoolers as the music dropped "f***" bombs every other word. The color she applied was better however her paint job was worse than a five year old and it made it noticeable at how uneven she had filed my toe nails. I asked why she didn't paint my nail in its entirety and why it was so uneven to which she replied "it's your cuticles fault"... I have been getting pedicures for 20+ years. My pedicure was beyond horrible. Oh and I had been there 75 minutes at this point and no one had touched my nails... however they did keep busy doing each others nails. I explained that I had to leave and the manager, who was extremely kind, said she understood. They did not charge me, which is good because I have to go home and take this off so I can go back to my regular place. A good thing is the owner called and explained this was the technicians second bad review. I wish she was let go with the first bad review so I didn't waste 75 minutes of my Friday lunch hour. Now it's the weekend and my toes look awful and my nails are not done. I also explained that when I checked pricing, in person, a man had asked the girl at the station how much a gel manicure and pedicure was, and they quoted me $52. However the sign inside says $58. The manager told me she would honor the pricing and said "ya, that's the owner". You can tell the other girls were not happy with that quote. In fact no one on there was social after that. I give the owner credit for placing a call to me, they get your number when you book and appointment and for offering to fix it but to be honest, I don't have the time to waste. I was just trying to support new businesses in my town. Moral of the story... stay at your current nail place if you're happy. It's not worth the time or energy. I will say their product was not watered down (I have been places where they watered the polish down) and it was clean. read more

We were given a heated lavender neck wrap as soon as we walked in, and then we had about a bazillion colors from which to choose. "Tell everyone About it, Stud" was calling my name, and it looks great, if I do say so myself! I tried Indigo Nail Spa for the first time based on a recommendation from a friend. I made my appointment a month and a half in advance and was given the name of the nail tech she had been to and raved about. when I got to the appointment, I got the old switcheroo, and was handed over to a different person for my pedicure, and yet another for my manicure. The tech I was supposed to see told me they were booked two weeks in advance. Since I had made my appointment a month and a half in advance, that excuse didn't fly with me. Their attitude came across as if they are gods gift to humanity. I then heard them ask the owner what happened, and she told them that ar eagular customer needed an appointments and she just switched around the new person. Just returned from my pedicure with El! She is fantastic!! She made sure that my nails were completely dry before leaving so that I wouldn't mess up my nails! But even better, there was constant conversation throughout the entire service, not once was there any awkward silence like I've experienced at other spas. The owner was incredibly sweet and the spa is so affordable! I definitely didn't sacrifice quality for price! (Side note: all new files were used on me and I was able to take them home with me! I came in for a footlogix pedicure. It was supposed to be an hour. It only took 30 minutes. 45 with drying time. Very disappointed.

I had made an appointment and was quoted a price as a first time client. When I finished and paid, it was $15 more than quoted. In addition while I was waiting, I overheard two technicians talking about the "new client " saying " oh this should be really great" my dipping powder was coming off after just a few days.
