Having a great band who would get all our guests dancing and having fun was an absolute priority for us. Planning a wedding is stressful and we quickly learned how unreliable many vendors in the wedding business can be, but Howard was the exception from the very beginning. Howard had all of the details covered and made the music the easiest part of our wedding planning. And most importantly, his band really delivered on our big day. They played a wide variety of songs and got everyone on the dance floor. We definitely suggest springing for the 8 piece band - the extra female vocalist was absolutely phenomenal. It has been almost 2 months since our wedding and people are still raving about the band. We have had close to a dozen people ask us for their info already. So only One more Week left to view this interesting, important work by various Haitian artists. A great Toussaint artwork and one piece made of Skittles into the face of "Tupac." If you look at the Skittle piece up close you may not be able to see it is, in fact, Tupac Shakur. Inside the actual museum which was once a gymnasium Basketball Court is a weaving exhibit entitled "Ancestral Lines" which has been here a couple of months- having opened on April 4, 2025- and, I think, will be here about another month until sometime in July 5, 2025, as I recall. It is wonderful as it is a non-profit and free to the community. I appreciate they have different events including book signings and authors, and the space is open for rentals and things. When I arrived , I met the owner Gigi. This used to be a GoGo club she indicated. Gigi is very nice & wants to make sure everyone is happy , and will return. The place is only open (8) weeks. Most people in attendance were following the Band, Crazy Fingers, although a few visited the place previously. By 9 PM the place was packed!! Bar food & drinks were following. They were short staffed, but everyone was working hard, and hustling. There is plenty of parking. I am sure with time this will be a local favorite.
