    Misto salad
    Deb M.

We have friends that live in Brighton so we went to Arta's for dinner. We were a party of 4. We ordered drinks and started with the Gambretto Di Avolo-tiger shrimp. It came with four pieces and was slightly spicy, very tasty. Bread was served before the appetizer and since we used our bread plates for that, new plates should have been offered for the shrimp, they were not. Two in our party ordered Ceasar salads, one misto salad and the caprese salad. All cold and good portions. Flavor was great. We then had entrees of lasagna, chicken Parmesan and Capesante Proscuitto( scallops wrapped in prosciutto di Parma), This scallop dish was actually an appetizer but was more than plentiful, with four scallops and a healthy portion of polenta. I needed to season my scallops but all of the other dishes were seasoned well. Some empty glasses were left on the table after new drinks were delivered but there were only 2 servers in the restaurant for approximately 20 tables of people. The host was helping clear tables, and our server was also mixing the drinks. One more person would have helped. Our experience was good. We would come back.

Our over all experience was excellent. Seated quickly and great time was taking by our waitress to determine the best wine for us. Keep in mind that this a dinning experience and not a fast food restaurant. Your food is made to order and takes time. My meal was fresh, hot and delicious. I will be back.

Our wine, a Chianti. recommended by that bartender was superb. Our waitress, Azhanae, was knowledgeable, kind and sterling. Then came our Bruschetta - Penne Vodka and Lasagna Florentine... all filled with aroma and savory taste. We will be going back!!!

Make reservations! Plan on being there for a bit to enjoy the ambiance. Definitely a date night place. Everything is made to order so it's takes longer but so worth it. Being Italian, I'm very picky about sauces & I'll say the tomato sauce here is pretty good. Warm bread is served with oil & balsamic vinegar. Our bruschetta was good. I enjoyed my chicken parmigiana. Wish they had put a bit more pasta with it but it was filing. Husband thought the veal was a bit tough but did like his meal overall. Tiramisu was not the best I've had but it was alright. The wine list is huge. It was busy in there & the few girls working were running their rears off. Bring money & patience. All of it still made for a good dining experience & we will go back. ( I want to try their risotto)

    Delicious and affordable Cabernet.

Arta's has the best Italian food in town. No one else compares! I highly recommend. Impeccable service too. Five stars.

Unexpectedly they asked if we wanted them to split the meals for us and serve one of each meal on a single plate. Top notch service. The restaurant was filled with other families but was not extremely loud and overall was a comfortable atmosphere As for the food, we had the house bread & butter, crispy fried Brussels sprouts appetizer, Parmesan crusted whitefish and Rib Eye Steak with Stillwater Salad & Caesar salad The house bread came fresh and was warm. It was the perfect balance of a warm fluffy cloud with a little crunch and perfect amount of salt. The brussel sprouts were excellently presented with balsamic vinaigrette glaze and fresh Parmesan cheese grated over it. The Brussels sprouts were a tad bitter for my taste and I think would benefit from a more sweet glaze to balance out the bitterness. Overall still enjoyable Our entrees came with a choice of a salad each. We had the Caesar and Stillwater grill salad. The Caesar salad had homemade dressing and was extremely fresh and crunchy. It was overall very tasty. The Stillwater grill salad came with a honey-cider Dijon vinaigrette which I got on the side. I personally didn't like the flavor of the vinaigrette but my husband did. Instead I got a side of honey mustard which paired much better with the salad and significantly elevated the flavor. We got the Ribeye steak medium cooked. It was very juicy and flavorful. It came with a side of mashed potatoes and broccolini which were both exceptionally flavored and well seasoned. The Parmesan crusted whitefish was also perfectly cooked. The fish was moist and the Parmesan added a subtle crunch. The fish could use a little more salt but that's my personal opinion. The lemon caper butter sauce tied all the flavors together for a complete dish that was enjoyable. It also came with a side of rice and green beans which were also good Overall we had a great experience. All this food came up to $80. For such a wonderful experience we couldn't ask for a better price

Our server was polite but not friendly, and not particularly engaging or helpful. She did not explain the menu, mention any specials, or offer recommendations. For a restaurant that positions itself as a fine dining experience, we expected a higher level of service and attentiveness. We started with the Ahi Tuna appetizer. It was decent, but there was so much going on with the dish that the tuna itself seemed lost. For my entrée, I ordered the Braised Short Rib. It was absolutely delicious and was the highlight of the meal. However, it was served over a fried potato component that was extremely disappointing. It was overcooked, lacked flavor, and did not complement the dish at all. My boyfriend ordered the ribeye steak. He rarely orders steak at restaurants because he cooks excellent steaks at home, but he decided to try one at a restaurant known for fine dining. Unfortunately, the steak was the biggest disappointment of the evening. It was bland and lacked even basic seasoning. The menu states that the steaks are served with the restaurant's signature zip sauce, but none was served with his meal. For a $68 ribeye, we expected much more flavor and attention to detail. For the first time ever, he did not finish his steak. When we expressed our concerns, the manager came over, apologized, and removed the steak from our bill. We appreciated that gesture and felt the manager handled the situation professionally. While the restaurant itself is beautiful and upscale, the music selection felt out of place for the fine-dining atmosphere they appear to be creating. The energetic classic rock/pop playlist distracted somewhat from the elegant ambiance and didn't match the level of sophistication reflected in the décor and pricing. Fine dining isn't just expensive food on fancy plates. It's consistency. It's a server who knows the menu inside and out. It's attention to detail. It's a steak arriving perfectly seasoned and exactly as described on the menu. It's the feeling that every part of the experience was intentional. This was a huge miss.

Our party of 6 arrived about 130 pm. The outdoor seating area was open and bustling. The indoor space was less than half full and we had no wait to get a seat except that no one was at the hostess station. The bartender did greet us and another group relatively quickly but this was the only thing that was quick this visit. Without going into great detail, we were seated for about 10 minutes before a waitress came to the table. We ordered drinks and it took almost 20 minutes for them to start to arrive and 30 minutes to get all 6 drinks. It took over an hour to get food and the entire visit was almost 2 1/2 hours. Mind you this is an upscale bar not a multicourse fine dining establishment. We were told that they were understaffed due to people not showing up but from what I could see they had 2 servers and a bar tender for about 15 active tables. Our waitress, while nice, was inattentive, often leaving us with empty drinks. The food was as good as we have come to expect as were the drinks when we could get them. I will say the chicken tenders my son ordered were over cooked but still tasty. Normally, I would rate this location as 4 stars but not this trip. Again, I hope this was just an off day but service like this again will result in losing our business going forward.

Ordered chicken tender basket with seasoned fries, side Caesar, ghost pepper, BBQ and garlic Parmesan dips, a funghi large pizza, added green pepper, roasted red pepper, chicken, jalapeño, garlic butte crust and a full sized Greek salad with feta on the side. $71.55 or $73.69 with the 3% CC abd increased taxes The Greek is ok. Somehow ended up with quite a few lettuce veins with no greens to them. Not a big fan of the already sliced yellow peppers for the Greek, way too tart and not so good. The Greek dressing is rather bland. The waitress was baffled after we ordered and asked if we could get the Caesar instead of the slaw. She had told us yes when we ordered. When the food was out, she had no idea we had asked for Caesar. We had to add a side Caesar salad. We ordered the side Caesar salad, but too bad it is boring, everything about it is subpar. The tiny croutons all over. The dressing is meh. The chicken tenders are crunchy, but super heavy breading, not my thing. The ghost pepper sauce is just spicy, but not so good. Would have been good if Lauren had mentioned each additional dipping sauce would be $0.75, just courtesy to do so. The funghi pizza hardly has any mushrooms, this pie would have been beyond sparse and sad looking without the added chicken, green pepper and roasted peppers. The crust is heavy, dense. The sauce is creamy, not for me. The pizza slice sags over. Not a fan of the cheese sauce on this funghi much either. This subpar pizza was $32 at HH end of it. Several to go spot would have been better pizza than tonight. I now know why this place is just under 3.5 stars, that may be generous for what you get. Food is below average. Service is so-so, feels mostly transactional.
