The front desk staff greeted me warmly and professionally, immediately setting a positive tone. I was then brought back for my initial diagnosis by the dental assistant, Denise. She was incredibly thorough, friendly, and took the time to explain what she was doing throughout the process. One thing that really impressed me was how advanced the technology was. The imaging and diagnostic tools they used were clearly state-of-the-art, which made the evaluation process feel very precise and reassuring. At many medical offices, you can feel like just another number, rushed in, rushed out, and treated more like part of an assembly line than a patient. That was absolutely not the case here. Every member of the team was personable and genuinely focused on patient care. I never once felt hurried. Instead, the staff took the time to make sure I understood everything and felt comfortable along the way. After the initial x-rays and testing revealed the issue, Dr. Berto came chairside. His chairside manner was exceptional. He carefully walked me through the images, explained exactly what the tests revealed, and discussed the procedure in a way that was both clear and reassuring. Again, it didn't feel like I was just another patient moving through the system, he took the time to make sure I fully understood what was happening and what to expect. The procedure itself was completed in less than an hour, Dr. Berto kept checking in with me to ensure I was ok, and the entire team continued to be attentive, caring, and professional throughout. Afterward, the post-procedure instructions were explained clearly, and both Denise and Dr. Berto made sure I felt comfortable before leaving. I'll also add something that really surprised me: a day later I have zero pain from the procedure, and more importantly the original tooth pain that brought me in is completely gone. That may just be my personal experience, but it's definitely worth noting. Overall, the combination of high-end technology, exceptional professionalism, and genuinely personable staff made this one of the best dental experiences I've had. I would highly recommend North Texas Endodontics to anyone needing endodontic care.

The doctor is excellent and provides skilled care -- my tooth was complex, and he even commented it was an "interesting case." That part of the experience was fine. The real problem is with the front desk. I requested a cost estimate before my appointment and had to call four or five times to get it. Only after repeated follow-ups was I finally provided a quote -- and then I was hit with a surprise "outstanding balance" from April that I had never been notified about. I had to insist repeatedly just to get it credited. During my appointment, they performed a 3D X-ray without informing me of the $350 cost beforehand. I only learned of the charge after the X-ray had been completed. Had I known, I would have declined it. This resulted in my paying over $800 instead of the ~$400 I was originally quoted. The front desk staff were dismissive, cold, and unprofessional -- no apology, no explanation, not even a "thank you" or holiday greeting. Their lack of transparency, communication, and basic courtesy completely overshadowed the quality of the dental care. If you value honesty and clear communication about costs, I would strongly recommend seeking another provider. The doctor may be skilled, but the business practices at this location are unacceptable.

After being patients of Lone Star Family Dental for many years, this experience was extremely…read moredisappointing. This practice used to feel like a caring family office, but unfortunately that no longer seems to be the case. Yesterday we encountered dangerous weather and road conditions in our area and called the office to explain the situation. Rather than showing any understanding or concern for safety, the focus immediately became enforcing cancellation fees of $200 for me and my daugher and defending office policy besides insulting me the we had missed/cancelled appoinments over the many years as patients. What was most upsetting was not the fee itself, but the complete lack of empathy and professionalism in how the situation was handled afterward. Their response stated that hazardous driving conditions were our responsibility to "plan accordingly" for, despite the fact that weather conditions can vary greatly by area and can change quickly. We had flash flood warnings and over 4 inches of rain withing a short period of time in Whitesboro yesterday. I was merely calling 90 minutes ahead to inform them of our weather and road conditions and the possibility of running late. In their response to my email later they seem to lay every blame on me. Utterly unprofessional. After more than a decade of loyalty, countless kept appointments, and trusting this office with our family's dental care, it was disheartening to feel reduced to nothing more than a scheduling slot and lost revenue. Policies are understandable. Compassion and common sense should matter when you call youself a family friendly practice. Based on this experience, I can no longer recommend this office to others looking for a patient-centered dental practice.
