Dr. Wu is one of the most egotistical and unsympathetic physicians I have met. I am not a person to write yelp reviews, but I felt compelled after seeing him in office at Cedar Sinai to help put an alert to other folks. I was referred to him for a second opinion for a CSF leak, and he was one of the most dismissive physicians I have encountered. Myself and my advocate were trying to explain my history, my medical conditions, and he would interrupt and "shush" us. He had no interest in listening, and blatantly didn't review any of my medical history /files. He did not provide a proper review of my medical history, medications, or even a review of my systems. This entire hospital where he works they will simply just have you removed off the earth if you don't have billions of $doe. I was promised a neurosurgeon would be present during the procedure. That was a lie. I was promised by the neurosurgeon that my V2 nerve would not be damaged. That was a lie. This man Mr. Wu cut and removed tissue from the sinus cavity knowing it would not grow back thus leaving a void in my cranial area. Tissue could have been easily garnered from the stomach or any other area of body fat but that was a little too much to do for someone with all those credentials. The same ill feelings this doctor had for me is right back at him and all the bad luck that he put on me I hope it magnifies 10x or greater on him and his generation. His negligence is abhorrent and I started to get off that gurney at 1st mind because his 2 cultural nurses could not even get an iv started in this African American arm. This is the degree of hate and disregard this culture has for even their own culture as communists. I was warned by an elder ENT and read bad things about this hospital if you are not a billionaire client. I'm warning yelp observers run from this man if you want a cocky attitude deviated septum, esophagus infection, nerve tingling in your lips hard pallet and jaw, a nasal voice upon a classically trained opera singer, sensitive to light and a closed eye. Very disappointing consultation. I believe all the low ratings as I experienced it myself first hand. He is so dismissive and came off egotistical from the moment he walked into the room. Dismissed majority of my symptoms, asked a lot of unrelated health questions, and made me feel pretty awful in general. When I started crying out of frustration, he used my emotions to diagnose me with a migraine issue, even though I don't suffer from headaches often if ever. "My patients don't typically cry in my office, so this tells me you're having a migraine issue" and also made me feel like I was reacting incorrectly / inappropriately when I was simply just frustrated. He told me a lot of things that just aren't true, as if he was trying to gaslight / convince me his diagnosis was correct and he thinks I need to see an allergist - I've taken every OTC allergy med over the past 1.5 years I've dealt with these sinus issues. Telling me sinus issues wouldn't cause inflammation or swelling of the face, brain fog, or that he saw anything in my nose at all. My "favorite" part of the appointment was when he took a few quick moments to stick a tool up my nostrils, then didn't even look at me after or offer me a tissue when my eyes were watering like crazy and snot pouring out of my nose. He is an ENT, I was referred by my doctor for a ruptured eardrum. Unfortunately this self proclaimed "god of sinus" issues according to him, "doesn't do ears". Ok my doctor obviously made an error with scheduling me to see this guy but instead of us realizing this was a mistake he spent the next ten minutes being a complete Jack ... to me. He was insulting, he mocked me for having a "ruptured eardrum" and literally in a whiny voice told me "I was soooooo sensitive". I hope he gets a ruptured eardrum one day and feels the intense pain first hand. If I were him I would stick to doing research because he certainly should not be treating people. I went to Dr. Wu for pressure and pain in my sinuses. His schooling looked impressive so I assumed he would be a great doctor. They were able to give me an appt quickly, but the visit was disappointing. Their offices are clean and new. The staff was pleasant. Dr. Wu was in an out in seconds and I found myself asking him questions in the hallway as he was walking away. The worst part was that he sent me to do imaging and while the imagining center confirmed the results were ready, I could not get him or his office to give me the results for four days, despite my calls. When someone is in pain, you let them know the results so they can plan their course of action. This lack of communication feels unacceptable. In the end, I had to have another doctor review the results and help figure out next steps. Waste of time and money. read more

Dr Wu destroyed my eardrum. He was thinking of putting tubes in one ear but, prior to that he punctures your ear with a machine.( basically make a hole to see if pressure is relieved.) This machine basically removed most of my eardrum. ( he ran the machine 2x because the first hole wasn't big enough) I had to have surgery to correct. This involved the back of my ear being cut off & skin graphed to rebuild my ear drum. Before it was corrected I was completely miserable and lost hearing in that ear. Now I have a huge scar behind my ear. I have NO confidence in Dr Wu , and am writing this to help prevent this from happening to some one else. Please understand my ear drum was fine prior to going to him. I made an appointment with him because my Eustachian tube was closed. Upon my follow up visit with him after he punchered my ear drum, he went "oh wow "when he looked in my ear , gave me drops sent me home and told me I had TMJ. Really horrible and painful experience. I feel lucky this is was able to b corrected, and no one should have to go through this. read more

very bad experience Indeed you should ask how much it will cost you before doing anything there or you will be surprised by the bill like I was several weeks after my visit! Being newly relocated in US, I went to visit Dr WU without to know that you have to be paranoiaic about spending money when you are in trouble and even if I've been told in I was 'covered' with my insurance plan. So I advise just not to believe what they tell you or to ask a 'detailed quote' about what they will do to you and how your insurance is covering it or not. Just do it before it happen! Dr. Arthur Wu is a highly skilled ENT surgeon. I suffered from a sinus infection for months which was not responding to antibiotics or steroids. After reviewing my CT scan and scoping up through the sinuses, Dr. Wu confirmed a tremendous build up of polyps. When I learned that he had a method to remove some in his office I jumped at the chance since I was familiar with the approach. Saw this DR. for my chronic sinusitus conditions which I have had for years. I moved here recently from Chicago. He seemed to doubt my diagnoses by several other ENT's in the past. However, the CT scan proved it. I NEED FMLA paper work filled out every year for my work because I have a chronic condition. It is very important that it is filled out on time and correctly each year by the doctor that is treating me for my condition. I dropped off the paper work with plenty of time to be filled out by his assistant and today called to check on the status. She told me he was REFUSING to sign the paper work. I said WHY? She said because I have not had surgery! Well of course not, that isn't what the plan was! We didn't discuss surgery. We had another treatment plan. The FMLA is intermittent not continuous time off! He obviously doesn't understand why someone with a chronic condition would need extra time off work! The reason my company offers FMLA in the first place is so we don't get fired for calling in sick so much. I have never in 10 years had a doctor refuse to sign off on my paper work. I am a flight attendant and I cannot fly at work when I have a sinus infection. I had 8 sinus infections last year alone! This guy was well aware of how sick I was. Then to tell me to go to my regular dr? Someone who isn't treating me for this condition? This guy is insane and has no common sense.
