Ive never met the dr. But on Juneteenth FRIDAY. I call to het a referral since the dr. Is an EAR SPECIALIST, the sorry excuse of a receptionist front office personnel gave me numbers that do not work. Said she didnt have an ENT on her list, then miraculously found an updated list when i said i would like the drs. email, of course the number DID NOT work. I understand this is a HARD PROFESSION...everyone is leaving California. But it is unacceptable, no matter where you are when you are dealing with the live of another. Please adjust your attitude and realize ONE DAY THIS COULD BE YOU,as miserable as you seem to be right now... May i respectfully say, it wont get much better if you dont do your job. I had my first visit with Dr. Rothholtz today. The office space is beautiful and adjacent to free one hour public parking. The front office staff is friendly, helpful, and professional. As for the doctor, well I loved her instantly. She is down-to-earth, thorough, kind, and knowledgeable. It is so refreshing to have a doctor actually listen to you, not talk at or down to you, and to involve you in the treatment plan. She even put my mind at ease by performing a simple office procedure without having to make a separate appointment. 1000% recommend! My son needed ear tubes and our UCLA network gave us an appointment 4 months out for just the consultation. I found Dr. Rothholtz online and ran it by our pediatrician who said her bio looked stellar. Dr. Rothholtz was the best thing to have happened in our journey for ear tubes. She's patient, welcoming and doesn't rush you through the appointment. Since my son was only 21 months and her surgery schedule was PACKED, she told me she'd check with a colleague who may be able to help out. And she'd check with her scheduler if she could tack us onto the tail end of another surgery she had scheduled for that following month. I was still driving home when I got a call directly from her telling me she'd already checked with her colleague and was calling to ask if she could pass along my info to her colleague's office. I said absolutely yes!! The next day I booked an appt for the following week. And the rest is history. I was so impressed with Dr. Rothholtz's genuine character, proactive approach, and knowledge. During Christmas week, I had "sudden hearing loss" of more than half in my left ear after a big jaw infection. My usual ENT suggested steroids, but I have had bad experiences with oral steroids. He then recommended getting an intratympanic steroid injection in my ear ASAP as effectiveness goes away with time, but it is only done by a few doctors, and scheduling an appointment around Christmas was really difficult. Dr. Rothholtz, who was booked, showed compassion by fitting me in and she gave me a series of two injections that cured my hearing loss. She was both clear in her explanations and warm and kind in her interaction. If not for Dr. Rothholtz, I might be hearing with just my right ear day. Sincerest thanks to her. read more

Dr. Rotholtz, is incredibly patient kind and genuinely cares about her patients. I've seen her a few times over the years and trust her opinion. I personally struggle with OCD & Health anxiety so sometimes I can get overly concerned and hung up on specific details/issues when it comes to my health. 10 stars please.. A REAL DR.! After going to a number of other highly ranked ENTs in the area who laughed me out of their office, Dr. R was my last hope. And she certainly delivered. Other than a rocky start with a 1 hour wait & having to deal with a rude assistant, Dr. R carefully looked at X-rays, patiently listened, and had concrete advice / referrals to help with my issue. I did not have a good experience with this doctor/office. Because I had a complex case I was referred to them. It has been a year and I still have ear pain. I had let the doctor know I was frustrated as I had been bounced from place to place and medicine to medicine, she was very curt. I had spent $100 and something dollars on a medicine to dry out my ears only to have dry residue now added to the list of problems in my ears. When I visited her she was very rough in trying to get it out and I did not appreciate that. I had waited to write the review as I wanted to see if the course of actions/medicines she gave for me would work but quite honestly she herself seemed stumped and I racked up major bills in the end. I would not recommend her as I am back to square one with ear pain, have several bills and she was quite honestly kind of rude. read more

Dr. Rothholtz is the best doctor I've ever been to period. I suffered from sudden hearing loss in one ear and to say it was a scary time for me is an understatement. She treated me with oral steroids but that didn't work. Then she treated me with injections of a different steroid through my ear drum and after the third injection I got my hearing back. Through this very difficult time she was sympathetic and empathetic. She never gave up on me and always had a positive attitude which I really needed. I recommend her very highly. Truly an amazing experience. I have suffered with Tinnitus for over 10 years. I am dealing with a flare up due to a recent noise exposure. She was able to get me in the next morning for an audiogram and examination. Great office, friendly people, total pros. I have more of a holistic medicine philosophy and tend to see more Naturopaths, but western medicine certainly has an important role and is needed sometimes. I started getting an ear infection and it was quite painful, so I wanted to find someone that had an opening the same day, but find someone I was confident in. Dr Rothholtz had several positive reviews so I gave it a go. I was not disappointed. My ear infection was pretty severe and she had to perform a few in office procedures to ease my pain to help. She was very professional, listened to my concerns (I have other health issues that could impact this), and she did everything to help me feel comfortable during the invasive and uncomfortable procedures. She wasn't arrogant like some doctors can be, and explained her reasoning for treatments. She even asked me if I was comfortable with that direction. Most doctors don't do this! I'll definitely go back to her for any ENT related issues, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone. read more

By far, the best ENT in town. Both my wife and I go to Dr Rothholtz. I went to see another ENT with great credentials and it was like being in the minor leagues compared to the experience I had with Vanessa. Thorough, smart, takes time to explain, great follow up, soo detailed, and her diagnosis was spot on. The other doctor gave me nothing and I knew as soon as I left her office, she was lame. That doctor took 5 minutes and did not do 75% of the examinations and questions Dr Rothholtz asked to understand my issues. It has taken me a long time to come up with the right words to write this review and explain how absolutely incredible Dr. Rothholtz is. Let me first start out with a little bit of my background: I work at a highly functioning medical practice here in LA, so I understand the level of customer service that patients receive. Dr. Rothholtz and her staff have always been so on top of it and have always accommodated me. I want to take a moment to say a HUGE thank you to Lydia, Dr. Rothholtz's Patient Care Coordinator/Assistant. I had so many questions since the very start of my journey and she was always so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. She would take the time to answer my questions, reply to my emails and confirm all of my out of pocket expenses leading up to my surgery. I was really stressed about getting a surprise bill post-surgery, but she made sure that my insurance was up to date and accurate before going through with the procedure so something like this wouldn't happen to me. She is always so kind and really helped me feel "peace of mind" with everything. I cannot thank her and Dr. Rothholtz enough for all they did for me! I would say that I'm a pretty particular person. I always do my homework when I look for the best care and best reviewed doctors when it comes to any aspect of my health. I found Dr. Rothholtz through my health insurance and read her reviews on yelp and google. She came highly reviewed and recommended so I booked a consult with her. During this appointment, she addressed my deviated septum and informed me that I had the option to do surgery. She doesn't do a Septoplasty/Rhinoplasty combination on her patients, but she's able to work with a few plastic surgeons who do that portion of the surgery on the surgery date. She gave me a few recommendations, one of which was Dr. Dhir who did the cosmetic portion of my surgery (feel free to go to his yelp page to read my experience with him as well). Dr. Rothholtz has a really laid back yet professional approach, which I absolutely love about her. She really cares for her patients and makes you feel comfortable in her office. I had decided to move forward with surgery and I'm so grateful that I chose her to do it! I remember being SO anxious at the surgery center on the day of my surgery. Right after the RN hooked me up to an IV, Dr. Rothholtz came in to say hi to me before bringing me into the OR. I was pretty scared and didn't know what to expect, but having her there with me right before going in was a huge relief. She reassured me that everything was going to be okay and I was so grateful to have her there to comfort me! I had surgery in early December 2019. It was WAY LESS painful than I had ever imagined. The only thing that was awful was getting the nose stents out. The post-op experience isn't really painful, but more-so uncomfortable. My breathing has never been better in my whole life and it's crazy how I never truly realized how awful my breathing was before I had this surgery. I don't have sinus issues anymore, I can breathe, and I don't get sore throats or have sinus problems as often as I once did! I am SO beyond grateful for Dr. Rothholtz and her amazing staff! This review is long overdue.... and long. For most of my adult life... now in my 40s....I got sinus infections & upper respiratory infections about every 8-10 weeks, and often even more frequently than that. Basically half of my life I was sick or getting over being sick. Many of the times, despite all other efforts, I would only get well if put on an antibiotic. In recent years Dr. Vanessa Rotholtz was treating my constant infections. Luckily, she cared enough to notice that this pattern of sickness was excessive and baffling. She always helped me get well, but what was the underlying issue? We did allergy testing, scans, you name it. She referred me to another Dr. for immunity testing. Long story short, after extensive blood tests, he found that my body showed no signs of immunity towards a bacteria commonly found in... you guessed it....sinus infections, URI's, strep, even meningitis. To wrap this up....well, I am currently under the weather and out of the state. But what is AMAZING, is that after getting the Pneumovax (sure hope I got that name right) which he administered last winter, it had almost been a year since I was sick last. That is unheard of in my world. No exaggeration...for AT LEAST 20 years, sick... constantly. I can't thank you enough Dr. Rotholtz for your guidance, genuine concern, and care. read more

I can't recommend her enough! She is a great "healthcare provider". She takes time to explain everything ( ex: your condition, why are you having these symptoms, treatment options, advantages and disadvantages to each treatment option). Even though she was out of network with my insurance, I was willing to pay out of pocket to be under her care. She performed a myringotomy on me and so far I'm doing great.
