Things like shutting down the pool and fitness center (which seems obvious), but also maximizing social distancing with staff and guests by avoiding congregations in the lobby, which I appreciated. Protecting staff is one of the most important things a company can do. The room was as comfortable as I've come to expect, very spacious and clean. The keurig, refrigerator, and microwave all worked just fine, and the water heat and pressure were great. There are also several restaurants of varying quality in driving distance, as well as a drive thru liquor store so all of my needs were met while I was in the room. I had a steak dinner from TaCarbon that was still hot when I got back to the room because it was less than 3 minutes away. As always, it was a great stay at Baymont Tuscola. I have always found Quality Inn to be very clean and comfortable and at a reasonable price. This place is an exception. They need to take the word Quality out of their name! The innkeepers Adam and Karen were super helpful and friendly. Adam even showed me some of their pictures of the building from back in the early 1900's. This place is spotlessly clean and the AC is adjustable in each room. Everything is comfortable and welcoming. This building was a United Brethren church and then a United Methodist Church. There is stained glass and beautiful wood floors. It is an architectural gem. The only detracting is the narrow staircase to get in the building, otherwise a perfect experience. I loved the peaceful and unhurried experience. I will be back!
