Read their clauses in their contract carefully…read more In hindsight I feel a full service provider such as Hogue Landscape or similar companies may make more sense as they grade, do a free design, install, check your irrigation rather than show up with a bunch of trees of debatable quality & wish you luck. If you read their response, you will see the onus they put on the buyer as in daily monitoring their trees, keeping a log etc. Well, most people have a job, kids etc & do not sit in the backyard with a journal all day recording each leaf that falls. bottom line - Verdant installed 28 trees of which 26 died in a month!! Ignoring their loooong list of excuses, if that makes sense or is acceptable, then i guess that's that . I blew $15,000 with them and had to redo my backyard with someone with experience and my yard now looks terrific. dm me for pics or lessons learnt. Good luck with your project!

I called and ordered over the phone and left the tree selection to Carrie. Trusted her to pick a nice tree. A few days later a team of tree guys came and professionally planted the tree in my front yard. Nice guys. Especially Israel. Within 30-40 minutes the tree was in the ground. Beautiful. decent size. full. Carrie did pick a great tree for us. we could not be more happy. I was replacing a 25 year old red oak which was uprooted during the recent Houston storms. Jared is who came over and helped us and explained a bit about how they care for their plants and what services they offer. And even took down my number in the case he hears about how to get that plant. Told us they hold events there, so I'll have to look into it! I did really like how they had a dedicated room for indoor plants, not alot of places have that. I ended up getting a peace lily for $10 and shes still looking great 2 weeks later. We were also given a jug of their moon juice which we've just started using for most of our plants, excited to see if it does really help out. I wasnt quite sure if theyd be OK with my dog being brought into the indoor plant area or the office area where you go to pay but they held the door open for her and gave her her space. So it set a really good impression. This place is definitely where I'd go if I had my own property and want working with a blank/empty space. Well when I was planting on there were these little Mondo I guess miniature monkey grasses that were embedded in the flats and I didn't notice it because the big leaves were everywhere and it looked like they were all the same thing. so today I came back to buy another $250 of monkey grass to be told no I couldn't exchange these or return them because the person at the cash register who couldn't speak English just kept pointing to your no return sign no return no return no return. I said I'm going to exchange them for the right thing and buy another $250 worth and they said no no no. so I left I'm going to Home Depot. Kim whatever your name is, your service SUCKS!

The geraniums for $9.99 did not look fresh and appeared dry and yellowish. They had some interesting petunias. I left after buying plants and felt less satisfied from my usual experience with them so I also stopped by their Voss location today -the geraniums there for $9.99 were gorgeous and colorful and well watered. The staff were so cheerful and helpful and greeting all of us and made a big effort to do so. I happily bought more plants there. Room for improvement at this location.

For this project, I aerated and dethatched part of my front yard and it was in need of a good base layer for the soil to recover; in addition to, landscaping a front patio area. I ordered 1 1/2 Cubic Yard Leaf Mold Compost, 1/2 Yard of Landscaper mix, a few Black-eyed Susan, a Mexican Sage bush and some other pollinators. Due to the time saved from gathering all my materials from this one location saved me $$$ and I was able to complete the project in a weekend. If your need is not as expansive they offer bagged soil for smaller needs, but to get the best value I would partner with a fellow DIYers with pickup trucks and order loose materials or have it delivered on site. Nature's Way Resources also have a big selection of mulch, compost, fertilizers and offer a Green Waste Recycling program. If you read this post to the end, I will let you in on a little secret.....they have a rock garden in the rear where contractors and DIYers dump material not needed and you will find some gems for FREE. All you need to do is sign a liability waiver at the front desk and recommend you have some sturdy steel toe boots, gloves, and watch out for critters.
