As I was on the phone on the side of the road trying to arrange a rental car through my insurance company, the driver asked if he could help and called the rental company directly to arrange to have a vehicle meet me back at his shop after the tow. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SHOP!!!!! I had two written quotes for work that needed to be done. Both quotes were under $2000 and they were the 3rd shop I went to. While they quoted me about the same price, under $2k, my fault is I did not get a written quote as I di dwith the first two. I went with Arties for just a bit more than the other two more simply because they said they would do a few other things that need to be done for the same price. Well I found out that put the claim in for over $4,000! While again everyone was under $2,000 and that is what they quoted me.... Now because its in NYS and over $2k, it goes on my record. My rate are now going up for 3 years. With one kid in college and one on the way, this hurts. I wish I had read the 3 other reviews that said stay away...... I will never make this mistake again....my advise, go to a shop that is approved by your insurance company. Trying to save a few bucks ended up costing my thousands!!!! After the job was "done," they requested MORE money than what was agreed and to be paid in cash only! Not even a few days later, I'm driving and I see smoke coming out of my car. I have called many times and have yet to speak to someone. They do NOT return your calls. This is a scam and I urge everyone not to bring their business here. This is a RIPOFF. These people only knows to get money from insurance companies for them only. They kept my vehicle 20 days in their garage after the accident. They claimed so much money from insurance company for that. Insurance company paid full for them and charged half of the money from me. Be careful before you leave your vehicle with them. read more
