He was always very communicative, and easy to get a hold of. Our busy schedules did not seem to bother Tim when he was trying to schedule some time to speak with us. He was always very kind and personable anytime we communicated via video call, phone, or email. Tim was also very detail oriented, and laid out every single thing we needed to do in order for him to best help us get the photography session we envisioned. Everything was spelled out for us and we did not need to do anything more than what he asked. He even offered additional help in looking for hair and make up artists, or even providing input and suggestions while we were deciding on what outfits to wear for the shoot. And all that was BEFORE the photoshoot. The shoot itself turned out to be a lot of fun for all of us. At the shoot, Tim's personability, and professionalism were further on display. He was very helpful in posing and instructing us, while still having a good time and keeping us from becoming overwhelmed. We had sent him a few photo poses that we had told him we definitely wanted to try during the shoot. Tim not only helped to make this happen, but Tim had even taken the time to memorize the poses so that we could quickly get to the next shot without wasting too much time. His attention to detail was by far one of the most impressive things I've seen. Tim was able to turn around and have our photos edited and uploaded to our personal site within a week. This made all the excitement and anticipation worth it, because it was astonishing to see the beautiful art he was able to create with a couple of average folks who've never done a photoshoot before. He had a contest giving away a free engagement shoot to 3 couples. He did this to give back knowing that this pandemic was affecting all of us in some sort of way and he just wanted to bring some happiness to others. After about 2 weeks, I get an email that basically said, "CONGRATULATIONS! You won the free engagement shoot." I had even forgotten that I entered because I never win anything. LOL. We then set up a date to speak to TIM (owner of TDM) and right away, my fiancé, Tim and I, hit it off. The vibes were all there Tim was so communicative that it just amazed us. From the beginning he was always trying to get to know us. We emailed and text back and forth often to try and set dates and locations. Loved that I knew that if I had a question I could reach out to him without hesitation. From the very beginning Tim was very hands on. He asked what kind of location we preferred and when we told him he sent us an entire list of locations that he has worked at and other locations as well. He had his list very detailed. Alan was never short with Trent and used fatherly instincts to calm Trent down and catch his attention for shots that we ended up loving! Alan doesn't need a studio to create shots, he makes the shots! We did all of our pictures this time around in the house since our little one was only a week old. First and foremost, whether you are getting Alan or not, YOU NEED TO GET VIDEOGRAPHER FOR YOUR WEDDING! I don't care how good your photographer is, or how many of your cousins will take videos on their iPhones, it will not come close or even compare to having a professional team of videographers. We have great photos from our wedding day, but the money we spent on our wedding video was well worth it. We got the traditional video package with the addition of the Same Day Edit. If you can get the Same Day Edit, do it, totally worth it. We just got our director's cut back about a week ago and my wife and I love it. I could spend a bunch of time writing about how beautiful it was, but instead I thought I'd write about the technical things that make Alan so awesome. After watching it a few times I noticed a lot of small things that I think most people wouldn't notice, but these small things make the video much better and definitely sets Alan's work apart from most traditional wedding videos. 1. Song choice. Alan is always in the know with new music and chooses the coolest songs that fit the couple and the wedding. On top of that, he coordinates the video to match the beat of the song, which makes things flow better rather then just overlaying a song over the video. 2. Views, angles, panning and zooms. The diversity of shots and styles of cinematography Alan and his team use to record the wedding make it so the wedding video never feels stagnant, plain or boring. It isn't just one view the entire video. For example, during the best man's speech, Alan used four different views and transitioned between those four views, 13 times. It just gave that part of the video so much more depth and he is able to do this for the entire day. On top of that, as difficult as the video part is, the sound is always perfect, it matches with whomever is speaking, which brings me to my next point. 3. Sound. Not only is the music good, but Alan's sound quality is awesome. Most videos have the bride and groom sharing a microphone with the pastor, but his team had wireless microphones which are discreet and look so much better. 4. Editing and Vision. The video isn't choppy, the transitions are smooth and the sound is always on key. Alan's videos shows just enough detail to help remember every aspect of the day but not so much that it bores viewers. And just the order he chooses to sequence his videos always works for every video I've seen him make. I could go on writing forever about Alan and his team, but if you've spent this much time reading my review, you need to book him, so call now. There is a reason he's in high demand and gets booked up quickly. so stop waiting and call immediately. It'll be one of the most important decisions you made regarding your wedding and it will be one of the easiest and most memorable ways to remember the best day of your life.
