I can't believe I hadn't been to this brewery before, especially since I'm always in downtown Freehold! It's been open for two years, and I finally stopped in with my husband. The atmosphere was welcoming, and Dee, the only bartender working that afternoon, was fantastic. She gave great recommendations on what to try. We both got flights ($16 each), and I chose the coconut stout, Party of 9, the sour, and the hard seltzer. Even though I'm not really a beer person, I really enjoyed the two I tried! The coconut stout was creamy and smooth, not bitter at all, and the Party of 9 was light and crisp. They also sell their beers in crowlers to go--everything except the seltzer. The only downside was that around 2 PM, a bunch of big groups started coming in, and poor Dee seemed super overwhelmed handling everything alone. I really hope they consider adding another bartender for Saturday afternoons. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back to try more of their seasonal flavors! read more

We visited immediately and were impressed with their beautiful two-story space where leashed and friendly dogs are allowed inside the tasting room and when there is outdoor seating in front of the building. There are 7 varieties of beers on tap and the Oktoberfest lager is being featured now. We love the Belgian Wit and Blood Orange Fizz. The space is perfect for the downtown area with a modern, yet warm design. Even the floor is a work of art with a gorgeous painted design on the cement. You can bring your own food and there are QR codes to order from Char-Kol next door and get it delivered to your table. My dreams have been answered as an avid craft beer fan to have a new microbrewery open up in my hometown of Freehold with some of the best beer I've tasted in a long time! And what's not to like about this place? Located a short walk from any of your favorite downtown Freehold restaurants like Federici's. An absolutely beautiful interior, two floors, with a bar on each floor! Giant screen TVs also. I'm not sure I could design the place any better!! I can tell you I've had their beer and I will be coming here every single time I come to downtown Freehold, whether I'm shopping or eating or anything! The beer is excellent, and I am an IPA fan and the IPAs here are nothing short of spectacular! They make an American IPA, and a hazy New England style IPA. My favorite is the New England IPA call glory days! They also had on opening day a lager and a Kolsch beer I think. There's so much room here, there's an upstairs with so much seating, as well as a big downstairs! I'm sure you can always find a place to sit, which is not always the case. We started with a flight and liked the beer so much we ended up having two more pint glasses . The atmosphere was just as much fun and great as the beer! I am going back to fill my growlers with beer for the holidays! Highly recommend this place if you like beer at all. But I also recommend this place as a super fun spot to get a drink before going to dinner in downtown Freehold. You will make the night twice as fun by stopping in this lively joint and trying one of their beers before dinner. Better yet, grab some on your way out for dinner too! As a craft, beer lover, I cannot tell you how excited I am this place opened! Many breweries opening today have mostly average beer. That is NOT the case here, all of their beer is great. Artis Brewery is located in a walkable downtown area and is intended to compliment restaurant and shopping offerings. They are co-owned with the neighboring steakhouse. The courthouse and lots of lawyer's offices are located nearby, too. Parking wasn't too hard, and I found a spot right across the street. They have a sleek, exceedingly clean, and modern atmosphere. They maximize their relatively small space well. In addition to the small bar in the back and the high top seating all around, they have an upstairs, loft bar, too. The staff members are really cool, helpful, friendly, but not too intrusive. I enjoyed the experience. The place is relatively quiet earlier in the day but fills up as people go out to dinner in the neighborhood. I tried each of their beers that were out at the time. They are fun, not too intense, and drinkable. I can tell that they made them to be appealing to a wider audience. At some point I will go back. read more

Ambiance is what you would expect out of a brewery. They have a lot of space as they have an upstairs as well. They don't have a large selection of beer, and I was disappointed that they didn't have any sour beers. Nice little place in downtown freehold walkable to all that's downtown. Place opened a few months ago, and looks and feels brand new. It's clean and bright but definitely authentic and not contrived and does not have a "chain brewpub" feel if that makes sense. there were tables and high tops on the first floor, and a second floor as well. the tanks were in full view. It was definitely busy this Sunday afternoon, but the bartenders were nice, and efficient. We got 2 flights to try everything they had except the Coconut Boro which was not available. I visited Artis for the first time for Trivia night. The atmosphere was clean and gave off a chill vibe with two stories. The menu had a good variety, from a mango hard seltzer to oatmeal stout to a sour. We were able to order delicious pizzas from Charkol. I had my son's engagement party here on a Sunday and it was beyond perfection from booking the upstairs room to coordinating everything the week of. The tables, the ambiance the entire set up was exactly what they were looking for to celebrate. We had 70 people and were so comfortable upstairs. Only 4 beers available. i had the IPA which was good, but less than 5 percent alcohol. The vibe was energetic, clean and modern. But they had a guy mopping the entire floor and stairs while the place was already open for 20 minutes. One person almost fell and another one did fall. Not acceptable!!! Easily a 4 or 5 star brewery if they add more beers and mop the place before they open and spot mop when needed. read more
