They have everything from savory breads to sweet pastries, plus breakfast items, bingsoo, ice cream, tarts, cakes, and lots of drink options. Their cakes are always so pretty -- I haven't tried one yet, but I definitely want to come back for one. The bakery itself is spacious with plenty of seating, free Wi-Fi, and a really nice atmosphere for studying or hanging out. The staff were all friendly, and the prices are very reasonable compared to other bakeries. I especially enjoyed their ades, and every bread I tried was really good. Of all the bakeries on Broad Ave, this place stands out for the selection and variety, and the ones we've tried so far put Artisan close to the top of our all-time faves. The egg salad sandwich is something many other bakeries in the area carry, but we picked Artisan's because it had identifiable ingredients like lettuce, cucumber, and tomatoes. What we didn't anticipate was bacon. I could do without and think the sandwich would be better without the bacon. What's with the Dubai in the Dubai cookie? And this tiny concoction cost $7. My verdict is that it's 'inside out' structure (crushed nuts inside, chewy layer outside) and the texture are mildly interesting, but ultimately underwhelming. The pumpkin fresh cream bun was a winner for its unmistakable flavour in the filling. The 'bread ball' is exactly what I had expected and gets an easy thumbs up from me. I like that they don't blast music and it's not blindingly bright like some other bakeries. There's plenty of seating, so maybe one of these days we'll hang. Everything was so reasonably priced and I was able to stay here for many hours catching up on some work with my friend. There is free wifi, tables with outlets, and multiple stall bathrooms. One thing to note is that the drinks are pretty sweet (Honey latte was overly sweet and the Grapefruit ade was good but also very syrupy) so I would suggest asking for less sugar/syrup next time! read more

I stopped by here while waiting for an event to start. I was shocked at how huge the store was. The touch to open cake cases lining up the back was impressive. There's good assortment of breads, patisserie, and viennoiserie on display. All reminded me of Korean bakeries, though many selections had modern and American flavor updates to them. I had the olive bread stick, which were three chunky black olives encapsulated in chewy bread. The bread was not too sweet (a legitimate concern when you're trying a new Korean bakery) and the olives were plump. The drip coffee was dark. The condiment bar wasnt stocked well, so I had to drink it black, but it was not too bitter. The seating areas were not the fanciest, but they were accommodating and cozy enough on a very hot summer day. There was a fly going around the pastry cases, unfortunately, so I got a couple of pre-wrapped old Korean bakery favorites to go-- the custard cream bread and the red bean paste bread. I had waited a while before I dug into them, but I was surprised by how butter-forward they were. The breads were not complex, but I felt I could taste good ingredients that went into them. I wish I was in a circumstance to try their cake pieces since they looked so scrumptious and they were also on sale for the store's anniversary. This cafe is so big and there is tons of seating. They offer so many bread and pastry options but their pastries lean more towards French style. They also serve gelato here. About a year ago I tried a Korean bakery and it was so interesting that I had to jump at thr next opportunity. And Artisan Boulanger was just that. Located on Broad Avenue this Korean Bakery is super clean and plenty of seating available. It is mostly self serve although they have items you can order at the counter. I always like talking to the staff especially when I'm not sure and they were super friendly and helpful to guide me on the popular items and their personal preferences. I ended up choosing the Red Bean Bread, the Choux Cream and the Panela. The Red Bean Bread and the Choux Cream were super soft. Both were like biting into a pillow. Super airy and delicious. The Red Bean was not to sweet and as should be expected. And the Choux Cream was like a custard cream filling. Both were phenomenal. The Panela was crunchy and chewy at the same time. It almost felt like a smashed honey raisin cookie but like In a good way. It was sticky yet crunchy. It was definitely a texture contrast from the other two. I totally loved this bakery and hope to come back. And even though I loved what I ordered I could see myself trying more and more things and I'm sure they wouldn't disappoint. Crean was smooth and rich and it wasnt too overpowering with coffee flavor. It had the right amount of balance. Salt Bread: Had a nice chewy texture but wish it had a crispier outside layer. Almost tasted too doughy. Toasted in the air fryer made it 10x better. Soboro: This was super fresh and the inside was light and airy. The crumb topping wasnt as sweet as other bakeries which I prefer. Fig bread: Loved the sweetness of the figs, especially toasted and made into a sweet and savory meal. Strawberry cake slice: The least exciting item. It was very simple with milk cream and sheet cake. Nothing spectacular imo. I also wished they used a box instead of a plastic container so it can remain upright. Mochi loaf bread: Had a really enjoyable bouncy and chewy texture while being super soft like your typical milk loaf. Coffee: not the best coffee but that was expected as its not manually made. Easily the best Korean pastry shop in Bergen County. And yes, I'm including La Tabatière. That place is great, but it's tiny and the prices are insane. This place has pastry of equivalent quality, albeit a bit more mass-produced, with greater variety and a place to sit - all at prices that are downright reasonable. It's a winning combination. My only quibble is that they should put fresh viennoiserie in boxes or paper bags rather than plastic, which robs each piece of its crispiness. I'll request a box next time. P.S.
