We hired Artisan to prep and stain our hardwood floors and new staircase, and we could not be happier with them and the work they did. We value trust even more than competence, and Artisan did not disappoint. Owner Sorin, and his foreman, Augustine, exemplify honesty, professionalism, and competence. When Sorin bid the job, he gave us a thorough and accurate explanation of what was to be done and the timeline for completion. Also, his pricing was very competitive. During the course of the project, he stopped by several times to check on progress and to ensure we were satisfied. We learned from our experience that preparation perhaps more than anything else determines the quality of the job. Augustine came prepared with the right equipment, including an industrial vacuum to suck up sawdust as he sanded the floors and stair treads. He did a great job of minimizing the spread of sawdust and cleaning up after each day's work. Augustine is very meticulous and conscientious, consulting with us along the way to ensure his work was done to our satisfaction. We were happy to welcome him into our home each day of the project. Lumber Liquidators recommended Artisan for my flooring installation. I would definitely recommend exploring your options. I asked the installers three times what day they would be removing my toilets and was told Thursday. Wednesday afternoon I noticed both toilets were removed and one was sitting in my master shower. I asked why and received a shrug. The party who I hired to install the new toilets Thursday evening could not come to my home Wednesday, so I was without toilets and a shower.. Very inconvenient with no notice!! I also has to call a plumber to come to my home which cost me much more than I planned to pay. The base board installed is separated in many places and I must now repaint my bathroom walls because of the damage created by the installers.. read more

We had just purchased a house that is 9 years old in Scottsdale. One of the rooms had some bad damage to the hardwood floors from a previous rainstorm. We had a sample piece of left over hardwood from the original installation. But it wasn't labeled. We contacted the original builder who still had on file info on what was used in the original installation. With that I contacted the manufacturer who helped me locate a distributor Phoenix. These guys are great! We used them to refinish the douglas fir floors in our 1950s cabin and they came out looking amazing. Before they worked on the floors it looked as if people had been walking around the house for the last 50 years with ski boots on. After they were refinished the looked as is if the had always been well cared for. Seriously, the difference was night and day. I would not recommend this company at all. Artisan Floors was highly recommended to me by Lumber Liquidators in Reno. What a disaster. Mr. Sorin doesn't do the work himself. Who knows where he got his crew from. I filed a complaint with BBB and the NV Contractor BD. The floor separated and Sorin sent his crew to putty the whole floor. They left smudges and large coops through out the whole house. What a mess! He never even came to check on his crew. Even though, Sorin was recommended by the store manager Mr.Reed, when I filed the complaint with LL Corp office, they said Artisan Floors was not on their list of certified installers. So, that voided that whole deal. Every body blames everyone else. No one takes responsibility for their mistakes. According to LL, the blame is all on Artisan Hardwood Floors. I'm new to Nevada. My dream house was turned into a nightmare by these Nevada merchants, and supposedly license contractors. read more

We found this company through Lumber Liquidators in Reno. Sorin came to measure and I told my husband I could tell he was exceptional at what he does. We were on a tight timeline and he scheduled the job exactly when I requested it and the crew started on that exact day. They paid so much attention to detail, cutting out the floor around our three fireplaces, trimming out the job on the stairs perfectly, and not cutting corners anywhere.
