Salted peanut butter chocolate chip ice cream.

Every time I'm in Paia I hit this place up! Still is the best ice cream I've ever had. Salted peanut butter chocolate chip is LEGIT.

I was drawn in by the incredible buttery smell of the fresh waffle cone. I got a split scoop of coffee and Mac nut, and both are delicious. Unlike Roselani (see my review there if interested), this actually tastes like natural, fresh, small batch, artisan ice cream. It is creamy but not gummy, rich without the taste of synthetic flavors, and it's got just enough icy bits to make me feel like there's probably no industrial stabilizers and texture enhancers. I eat a relatively clean diet and I'm sensitive to additives like that. I didn't see the ingredients list so I don't know for sure, but at least I enjoyed the taste. The waffle cone smelled better than it tasted, but it was huge and well worth the money. Service was good too. Will come back!

Dutch chocolate. 10/10 Service: not friendly. So disappointed.

We went in about 15-20 minutes before closing, and the first thing the workers told us was, "We're not accepting cash." Then, when I asked for samples, they looked at each other, which gave off a mean vibe. I'm so disappointed because I wanted to love this place based on the reviews. Unfortunately, I didn't get that experience and I'm really turned off by the service.

Had a scoop of their vegan coconut macadamia ice cream and it was very creamy with great macadamia flavor. Solid ice cream spot tucked slightly down the street from the main drag

Ice cream dreams. Every flavor is incredible.

Yes. Yes I did drive from Kihei to Pa'ia on 3 out of 5 days for this ice cream. That good.

Stopped by after lunch for a sweet treat. It's hard to find free public parking in Paia by all the storefronts because it can get sooooooo busy with tourists (us included lol), but thankfully we managed to find a spot. It smelled really good when we walked in! The storefront is pretty tiny but the line wasn't too long. The lady helping us was nice in recommending some of her favorite flavors. My husband ordered the lilikoi butter, and I got the mango strawberry li hing mui. The lilikoi butter was good; the texture was creamy and buttery and the lilikoi added a good balance of tartness to the ice cream. The mango strawberry, however, did not taste like mango or strawberry, and I couldn't even tell there was any li hing mui. The texture was fine, but it was severely lacking in flavor. Looking back, I should have tried one of their more popular flavors which are more chocolatey/rich, but I was in the mood for something lighter and fruity. Overall not a bad experience, but we've had much better ice cream on the island.

First time coming here on a Saturday at 8:15 pm. Girls did not greet us, gave us a weird look and just said "we're not taking cash." They looked annoyed that we wanted to get some ice cream! Loved their ice cream but unfortunately will not be back because they don't seem to want our business anyways!

Mago Strawberry swirl and the Peanut Butter flavor, both were amazing!

Amazing ice cream, unique flavors, great service, value, ana cool little ambiance of a hidden store! A must try if you want dessert in this area, especially unique ice cream flavors.

Super tiny store front. They have dairy and non dairy options and the entire area was literally spotless and squeaky clean. The two women were super sweet and patient as my non verbal son tried to see what he wanted. We got two cones and a scoop in a cup. We tried vanilla, chocolate, and salted malted vanilla swirl. All delicious! Clearly all homemade, rich, and creamy. All of our selections were dairy options. The cones were freshly baked and the cookies in the window smelled divine. Worth a stop as you head down the highway to Hana or just bounce around the island.

If you haven't been here yet, what are you doing? Get here asap! Way better than Baskin and Robbins or Cold Stone. We drive here special just for their ice cream. This spot continues to serve up delicious dairy and vegan ice cream. I love that you can get some of your favorites in pints to take home. They also come up with seasonal flavors that are always nice to try. I absolutely love their split scoop option when you can't just pick one flavor nor do they skimp on the scoop. It's a easy spot to miss as you might miss the walkway to the entrance but you can't miss the huge ice cream on the front and on the wall if you're coming up Baldwin Avenue. Depending on the time, you may even be drawn in from the fresh waffle cones or cookies or the line of people waiting for ice cream. All the workers are super friendly even when they're busy, definitely stop in and support local!

Cute little ice cream shop in Paia tucked beside a creperie that was super popular on the Friday night I was there. After a long day of travel, I decided to keep it chill and go for an evening walk by the beach with a cup of ice cream in hand. Many flavors looked intriguing, but I chose the salted malted vanilla chocolate fudge because of the intriguing name! The ice cream flavor itself was kind of boring, but they gave a nice hefty size for a small. Perfect treat for a walk to the beach!

Five Stars - A Sweet Maui Treat Worth Returning For!…read more This was our family's first visit to Tobi's Shave Ice, and it definitely won't be our last! As first-timers, I asked the staff for a recommendation and decided to trust their expertise. Great decision. I ordered the High Surf, and it was absolutely delicious--refreshing, flavorful, and exactly what you want after a day in the Maui sun. One of my daughters chose to add soft serve underneath her shave ice, which was a combination I had never tried before. It sounded unusual at first, but after a few bites, I completely understood why it's so popular. The creamy soft serve paired perfectly with the light, fluffy shave ice. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and happy to help us navigate the menu. Their enthusiasm added to the experience and made us feel right at home. Beyond the shave ice itself, the atmosphere was part of what made this stop special. Sitting outside in a charming small-town setting with a relaxed island vibe made it feel like more than just a dessert stop--it was an experience. The shave ice was fantastic, the service was great, and the overall vibe was exactly what we hoped for during our Maui visit. We're very happy we gave Tobi's a try and would absolutely return the next time we're on the island. Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike!

Oh wow! This went way above my expectations!…read more When my trip to Maui was first booked, I researched a lot of food/desserts to try and spots to go to. I saw a lot of hype about this shaved ice, but I was like "it just looks a snowcone an I've had plenty of those" so I kinda blew it off like "oh I'll try it if we just happen to stumble upon a place" but I didn't write it down as a "must try" We went on a hike at the Pipiwai trail one morning and drove the whole rode to Hana. I was pretty bummed that we didn't get to the banana bread place before they closed, but on our way back to Waleia, I was looking up some spots to get a snack. This place popped up and I remembered it from my research so I figured we'd just go. It was on the way. We got ube, green tea, and lychee with a snow cap and mochi. Omg! It was wayyyyyyyy better than just a regular ole snowcone. It's so much creamier and the additional texture of mochi made it even better. Idk if it was because we just got back from hiking but it was so refreshing! I deffinitly recommend The only downfall of the location is that there was only one table and it was full when we were there so we had to walk down a bit to find another bench to sit at.

I decided to get the ice cream and drink straight out the coconut & it didn't disappoint. Like others mentioned, the ice cream was a little difficult to eat because it was straight up frozen & wasn't creamy like your typical scoop of ice cream but the flavor was on point especially if you love Hawaiian Haupia like I do. Luckily for us we got to enjoy our coconut fix while tanning outside the storefront because they only had two seats available. I also appreciated that you could go back in after you finish drinking the coconut water to cut up the coconut to eat the inside too!
