I have tried this place a few times and have been impressed every time. The flavors are amazing and I like how they have vegan flavors as well as regular ice cream. The last visit I tried the mango li hi mui. It was delicious, the best part was it was freshly made and they do not use chemicals. The service is quick and efficient as there is only room for a few people at a time. The decor is like the ice cream creative but not overwhelming. It definitely fits the vibe of the neighborhood. Paia, HI. The line moves fast thanks to the two hard working girls working here. We went for the basic, no frills or extras, in a cup instead of a cone. I ordered two scoops so I could at least try a couple of flavors. I did not anticipate the scoops being as large as they are and two is a bit much. Somehow I managed though. All of the flavors are really good, and the texture is very creamy with no evidence of gummy additives. Fear not the salted varieties, they are delicious. The ice cream is reasonably tempered and gets soft enough quickly on a warm day. This really brings flavor to the forefront. I like that the ice cream focus is on flavor and texture and not sugar. One flavor is called " Coffee with Sugar" but even that one is not too sweet. read more

I was drawn in by the incredible buttery smell of the fresh waffle cone. I got a split scoop of coffee and Mac nut, and both are delicious. Unlike Roselani (see my review there if interested), this actually tastes like natural, fresh, small batch, artisan ice cream. It is creamy but not gummy, rich without the taste of synthetic flavors, and it's got just enough icy bits to make me feel like there's probably no industrial stabilizers and texture enhancers. I eat a relatively clean diet and I'm sensitive to additives like that. I didn't see the ingredients list so I don't know for sure, but at least I enjoyed the taste. The waffle cone smelled better than it tasted, but it was huge and well worth the money. Service was good too. Will come back! read more

Stopped by after lunch for a sweet treat. It's hard to find free public parking in Paia by all the storefronts because it can get sooooooo busy with tourists (us included lol), but thankfully we managed to find a spot. It smelled really good when we walked in! The storefront is pretty tiny but the line wasn't too long. The lady helping us was nice in recommending some of her favorite flavors. My husband ordered the lilikoi butter, and I got the mango strawberry li hing mui. The lilikoi butter was good; the texture was creamy and buttery and the lilikoi added a good balance of tartness to the ice cream. The mango strawberry, however, did not taste like mango or strawberry, and I couldn't even tell there was any li hing mui. The texture was fine, but it was severely lacking in flavor. Looking back, I should have tried one of their more popular flavors which are more chocolatey/rich, but I was in the mood for something lighter and fruity. Today, Sunday June 14th, I decided around 2:30 that an ice cream cone would be great, I was all ready to get some from my usual place. There was no line, three people in the place, two girls working, and a friend who was not buying anything on my side of the counter. Not one single hi or acknowledgement that there was someone else in the place. I waited patiently, one girl left an came back, to talking to their friend, still not even a glance my way. Whoever these girls are, they need training. They are there to sell ice cream, I got the message that they weren't interested in doing their jobs, so I said "okay, I guess I have to leave". Nothing. Worst customer service,please talk to your employees about customer service. I don't need anyone to bow down in my presence, but a simple "hi,we'll be with you in a moment" was all that was necessary. Instead they couldn't be bothered. Good Service....Only when the two young girls that keep giving people eye rolls every time they ask for a sample aren't working. The main one is a blonde girl with big round eyes and lashes full of mascara, the other one is a Brunette... seems like the brunette just follows the lead of the blonde one. They make it absurdly obvious that you piss them off. They slam the freezer door when opening and they always look at each other judging you and fake smiles. It's just awful. I will keep coming cause I want to support the shop , but I bet these girls probably don't even know what TIP Stands for either, so I will continue not tipping them till they actually start to understand they need to earn the tip as a gratitude for their promptness. Downtown Paia is so hard to find parking! Even at 730pm at night, it was packed and we had to park 2 blocks up (again as during the day time). Don't blink or you might miss the entrance as I did! I'm glad they didn't "dye/color" their ice cream purple and it's a natural white color. The honey doesn't overpower the lavender and it's lovely. Dairy based so that means it's creamy good!
