If you're in Makawao, you HAVE to stop by Maui Cookie Lady! As soon as you walk in you are transported into a magical forest with a positively overwhelming smell of fresher baked cookies! The cookies are absolutely incredible, and there are lots to choose from, but there are also other desserts and fun treats. The whole place has such a unique vibe, You really have to experience it for yourself.

Go in for a cookie and out with an emoty wallet. These cookies are sooooo big and great shareables. The shop is like a little tiny Harry Potter gift shop filled with island goodies and the main attraction are the prewrapped fresh cookies located near the cookie window. So cute! You could easily get caught in time exploring every nook and cranny here.

Adore this tiny, fascinating store that's like stepping into a fairy's abode. Unforgettable, gigantic cookies in interesting flavors. Today we chose: butter rum chocolate, oatmeal and walnut, vanilla slurry, and the famous "da half baked."

IMHO If you visit Makawao, you MUST visit the Maui Cookie Lady store! It's the cutest, most whimsical store in town! It's chock full of wonder and fantasy, and HUMONGOUS and delectable cookies, in all flavors you can think of. Believe me, you walk out with at least one cookie, but I bet it will be more!

Variety packs! (I believe they were around $14.95)

Had to stop by the cutest store to pick up some treats for a friends kids. They open at 10 am now but it fit our schedule perfectly today. Saw that they now offer a variety bag of 4 cookies! So perfect for those who wanna try more than one cookie! They are of course a smaller size but just to be able to sample a few different flavors is great! Then you can buy the larger one if you really find one you absolutely love. Service is always great here, and working in this cute space must really make you feel warm and fuzzy (as a customer, I always get that feeling!). If you're visiting from out of town, be sure to stop by and get your friends some goodies! Besides the yummy cookies, they also feature lots of other sweet treats! Definitely something for everyone!

If you are in Makawao you gotta stop by for one of their famous cookies. Everything looks good so we settled on Da Half Baked which is like cookies baked inside a cookie. A little expensive ($11and change) but one cookie will easily take care of three or four cookie eaters at a time...

    Cutest decor ever!!

Super cute. Very decorated. Greeted as soon as I walked in. So much stuff. Great for souvenirs. Came for the cookies. Bought the big one for $11. We ate it a few days later once we got home and it was still very good. Four of us ate it. Pricey but worth a try and enough to share.

The Maui Cookie Lady is absolutely worth the drive. The flavors are so fun, creative, and genuinely delicious. Every cookie feels thoughtful and special. I love that they're easy to transport home as gifts and that they keep really well, making them perfect souvenirs. The shop itself is magical and whimsical, like stepping into a little cookie wonderland. And the service? Exactly what you'd hope for from someone who makes cookies (and more) for a living. Warm, kind, and welcoming. Such a delightful experience from start to finish.

A sweet Maui Must- stop! The Maui Cookie Lady shop is such a gem! The moment you walk in, it smells amazing -- warm, cozy, and a little earthy. The shop itself is small, but it has such a welcoming vibe that makes you instantly feel at home. The cookies are so delicious and come in pretty generous portions. My favorite was the White Chocolate Macadamia -- soft, rich, and perfectly balanced in flavor. They also have lots of other fun and creative flavors worth trying! The lady who helped us was incredibly sweet and knowledgeable. She really knew the shop and everything they offered -- from cookies to jams, small home essentials, drinks, and even pet goodies. You can tell she takes pride in what she does, which made the experience even better. If you're traveling, the cookies are airplane-safe, and they even include to-go instructions to help keep them fresh until you're home. Overall, I was so impressed by everything -- the service, the quality, and the charm of the place. It's definitely a must-stop when you're in Maui and craving something sweet!

The cutest little cookie shop! Fairy themed, this shop is so unique and whimsical. We tried the Kona Coffee espresso & butter rum, both were so delicious, fresh, moist, and well portioned - big enough to share or save to enjoy multiple times. Don't miss this shop in Makawao, you might if you're not looking for it!

Do they sell sugar free cookies?

No, but they do sell other local products (like truffled macadamia nuts) that are lower in sugar.

While the drinks taste great (even if the pricing could be better), the real issue is the owner's behavior. Do not be fooled by the fun, energetic, and polite image she displays on social media,it feels like a 100% facade. In person, she lacks basic customer service skills. There's no greeting, no "thank you," and not even a simple "we will be with you shortly." The wait times are very long, which happens, but to completely ignore customers while they wait is unacceptable. I originally wasn't going to leave a review, but after talking with my coworkers, I couldn't stay quiet. Almost all of them had similarly horrible experiences with the owner. It also brought up a concerning pattern regarding her social media, which exclusively highlights a specific "local" crowd and even brags about her local customer percentage. Although I am local, I don't look it. My coworkers who had terrible experiences are Filipino. The only coworker of ours who received great customer service fits the stereotypical "local" look. Coincidence? Based on our interactions, I highly doubt it.

This restaurant is located in a shopping center in Pukalani. The inside has a place to order along with a cooler and a display case full of baked goods. There is seating throughout the rest of the space with five four tops and bar seating for about seven more. For dinner on this evening I decided to go with the loco moco while my dad went with the Big Kahuna. The menu described mine as three hamburger patties smothered with house made brown gravy and topped with two eggs, and my dad's as a combo plate of mochiko chicken, hamburger steak, and Asian crusted ono. After placing our order they quoted us 15 to 20 minutes, so we sat at an empty table and waited. It only took about 10 minutes before our food was ready and we sat down to eat. As soon as my dad opened his meal I have to admit that I was jealous as it looked great. Thankfully my meal was absolutely amazing. The brown gravy was legit with a ton of flavor and I could not stop eating it. The burger patties were hot and seasoned well. The mac salad was also really good. My only complaint would be that the rice was a little sticky and made it hard to get everything out of the container. I was also able to try some of my dad's mochiko chicken and the breading had great flavor while the chicken inside was moist and juicy. My dad enjoyed everything on his plate as well, especially the ono. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. As a matter of fact, the next time my wife is on Maui with me this will be one of our first stops because that gravy was fantastic.
