The bullet coffee is no joke. It's like they shoved three shots of espresso into this cup and let you loose on Maui. Oh and if you want food to go with that (because you can't run on jet fuel alone) there's delicious acai bowls, bagel sandwiches, as well. Hey! Considering that there are not that many high fibrous foods in Hawaii, my friends and I had to look for acai bowl places around the area. Beach Street was next door to our place so we ended up going twice to get our fibers in. Food quality-wise, we loved the pineapple in our acai bowls. Oh boy. You cannot beat the sweetness of pineapple in Hawaii -- it is just another level of gloriousness. God just looked upon the islands and knew sweet fruits had to be there blessing. The acai and other fruits were great too and had so much natural sugar in it. Apart from food quality, I think the price was extremely high considering it was around $15 a bowl. I might be biased in comparing with healthy yogurt or acai bowls in other states, but justifying $15 is a hard sell. Despite this, I still ended up going twice because it was convenient enough and I definitely needed more fibers. Service was as quick as it can be in such a small truck-like enclosure. Ambiance was great because it was more outdoors. Nothing like eating acai bowls on a nice hot day! read more

I got the Kihei sunset which hit the spot. Ii must not have read the description thoroughly, but the ice cream at the bottom was a surprise delight. I added mochi but they were small and only a few for the extra $1.50. We were there early so there was plenty of space to sit. read more

Cute little spot. No inside seating. There are tables outside. Lots of parking near by. We ordered a bagel breakfast sandwich and the vegan acai bowl. My husband said that the sandwich was good, but not a ton of flavor. I thought the acai bowl was one of the best I had ever had. The fruit was fresh and the granola was yummy. They did not skimp on the amount of stuff they put on top the acai. Beach Street is a great place to stop for a treat or breakfast. read more

Our group stopped by here on Thursday (9/12/24) while walking around the town of Kihei in search for dessert. As we were walking, one of my group members suggested we try the shaved ice here. Good thing we did and it did not disappoint! My wife & I ordered the Kihei Sunset and it was pretty good! The vanilla soft serve at the bottom was the highlight since it was pillowy soft and velvety smooth at the same time. This is one of the shaved ice places that I'd recommend if you're staying or around the Kihei area! read more

A great little spot to grab coffee in the morning, especially when staying across the street! It's an easy, walk up spot with a walk up ordering and pickup window. They do have some picnic tables outside for seating as well. We usually grabbed our bowls and ate at the beach. Good coffee, good açaí! I really enjoyed the piña colada bowl. The cold brew coffee with mac nut syrup was a staple with our group. Staff was friendly and open to modifications on the bowls, which was nice. read more

My family and I went multiple times on our trip. Got a shaved ice or acai bowl every day. Delicious!

We came for coffee and a light breakfast. Coffee was fantastic. Banana bread was a hit. Lovely place to stop for a quick coffee before a walk in the beach We did not order the shave ice as it's 7am but the shave ice prices are hard to beat in the area. They have the best prices for shaved ice on Maui, honestly. I never use to get my kids shaved ice because the places were over charging for what you're receiving in my opinion, not this place. It's located in "the rainbow mall" shopping center. A wonderful, kind staff that I'm sure deals with plenty of families and kids so they've got patience. They have a covered seating area that has a great breeze, it's very clean, with a little tv for some more entertainment. If you think all the tables are taken you are mistaking! Beach Street continues to be one of our favorite places for morning coffee and more. My wife loves the white chocolate mocha. The Acia bowls are full of fresh fruit and flavor from first bite until last. If you are looking for afternoon treat the pineapple milkshake is outstanding. The morning entrees are also very good. They open at 6:00 and are friendly and quick. There is often a line but well worth the wait. read more

The perfect pick me up. After a couple hours on the beach we had a hankering for some light refreshments and walked up onto Beach Street. The guy working inside was so kind and gave great recommendations for turtle sightings. We got the Pina Colada and Green power smoothie. Both were so good and not too sweet. I will start off saying that the bagel sandwich that I had was very good. My issue came with the Acai bowl. At almost $15 I would expect a fresh and delicious bowl that I think all of us want in Maui. Instead I got a frozen and clumpy Acai that seemed like it was fresh out of a Costco packet. I have had much better at a typical smoothie place. For $15 it's not worth it. read more

During my trip to Maui, we wanted to walk around the city and this place caught our eye the most. We're walking around in the heat and we needed something nice and this place was definitely the solution. We ordered a blue Hawaiian shaved ice along with a tropical fantasy shaved ice and honestly it is the first time we have ever had shaved ice with ice cream in it. It made all the difference and the combination of shaved ice along with ice cream made this a lovely cold dessert that we needed. To give context, I come from Arizona so the shaved ice that I remember trying is usually under flavored ice with nothing else. So it surprised me that shaved ice can be this great. The quality was very nice, each scoop always had flavored ice and ice cream, it was perfect. When we ordered, we didn't have to wait that long, maybe just a couple of minutes. The people there were very nice too. If you're ever in need of a nice cold dessert, this is the place for y'all. read more

I got three flavors: gauva, pina colada, and lychee. They were layered from the bottom up. There wasn't enough syrup to soak through all the ice. The shaved ice came out flakey. read more

I actually liked this better than yesterday's acai bowl at Barefruit bar, probably due to the granola which gave this one more texture. The large size is currently not available. They also serve breakfast, coffee, etc. Atmosphere - Small locally owned business. Outdoor seating, but most (if not all people) take theirs to-go. Open 7 days a week from 6:30am to 6:00pm. Plenty of mall parking. Service - At least 3 people working, not sure if the manager was training new employees today. Price - $13.50 + tax. Owner Comment - Congrats to the Peterson family on your success since 2000. South side local. Best shave ice in my opinion. Expensive but good. We enjoy the outdoor seating. The line can be long but with Maui's staffing issues, I don't see another staff member being available to take orders. Outside waiting area. Located in a plaza off building, can see seating by the main street. Came here wed morning around 8am, no lines at all. Cool cashier, just the whole island vibe. Ordered cappuccino, some drinks ONLY comes hot. It's listed on the menu. Would order again! They have a lot of variety. Also ordered an acai bowl with papaya add on- should've gotten the papaya bowl. One of the better shave ice on the island. My sister and I have been trying to find a shave ice shop that we like on island and so far, this one is a go to. It reminds me of my youth, from when the ice cream man used to come drive by our neighborhood for a cup of rainbow shave ice with ice cream for $.85. The texture of the ice is perfect, not too soft or icy. The flavors are very homey and nostalgic to me. Their coffee is also good, they have specials written on a board by the window you order at. Every time we come here, it changes but they typically still have the older drink specials still available. read more

Beach treat at Beach Street [Kihei Maui] Beach Street is at a good location since it sits just across the beach on S Kihei Road at the Rainbow Mall. It's closer to Kamaole Beach Park I. We passed by it the first time when we were looking for a place to have dinner next door at the Kamaole Shopping Center. Saw açaí bowls on their menu board so we said we'd come back after our dinner. After dinner I was looking forward to some great desserts and they had closed for the evening so we came back a couple of days later. We placed our order at the walk up window and picked up on the other side. There are a few picnic benches outside under a roof covering. Although I really wanted an açaí bowl hubby and I ended up sharing a Hawaiian Rainbow shave ice - strawberry, pineapple, and blue vanilla flavors w/ ice cream and gummy bears. We got our order fast and it was onolicious and refreshing. They offered more than shave ice including delightful breakfast fare, hot and cold beverages, snacks, and coffee shop goodness.
