Beware if you buy a vape. Their return policy is geared for NO RETURNS even defective vapes. They said to call the manufacturer even though this store sold the defective unit. You also CANNOT try any juices at this store only smell the bottle. So left with a defective mod and a flavor I don't like was the outcome. Wasted money and time. Buyers beware! read more

Poor quality products and when the girl behind the counter called her "superiors" she was told that the product I purchased people keep having issues with . THN WHY ARE YOU SELL IT? It's a rip off store where you can buy average per vape for 25 bucks whereas the someone in grocery store cost 4 bucks. They also keep them behind the counter not on display. I needed to replace my vape system and as Artisan is close to my home I stopped in there. I was helped right away by friendly employees who asked me good questions about my preferences and recommended a system that is working out great for me! Its Wednesday and I've been waiting outside for 30mins so I can purchase some coils for my vape. They're supposed to open at 10am, it's now 10:30am and not a single soul in sight. I arrived here at 10am looking for what should've been a quick easy purchase as I have to go to work soon. Still waiting outside the closed shop, not one employee anywhere near or in the shop ‍ please don't advertise that you open at 10am if that's not the case. I understand that these shops cater more to the "vapor" crowd who wants the crazy battery packs etc. For the casual vapor or someone just looking for a simple alternative to smoking these systems are overly complicated. Thankfully companies like Phix and Juul came out with a simple system. This place barely has stock of these or their assorted flavors. Constantly out of stock when looking for a refill, although conveniently located near my home, I will find an alternative shop along a common route to look for my refills from now on. read more

However, I was unfamiliar w/ the prices of bulk tobacco because it was my first time purchasing the product. I was charged $27 for a 6oz bag of Gambler brand, almost $30 higher than another store charged for same. Pressed for time and need, I went a second time. They wanted $40 for 8oz same brand cig tobacco. The salesman, possibly the owner, admitted he charged $10 more for profit. In addition to tax & a 4% non cash fee for using a debit credit card. The latter charge is illegal in the state of CT (ct.gov). I didn't realize I was charged this extra non cash fee til home. Disappointed. Cloud9 is in a great location but be prepared to pay extra for this convenience. Knowing my poor planning, I'll probably still shop there, unless they get mad at me for posting an honest review.

WOW! I saw more than 10 kinds of wire (kanthal, nickel, nichrome, gauges as larges as 18 and 20) as well as more than 6 different blends (and brands) of cotton! The customer service is fantastic, the owner is very knowledgable and absolutely does not belittle any customer, no matter what their experience or vaping style. They sell plants and flowers, but I didn't pay attention to that aspect of their operations. Cold Spring sells some of their own produce, products from other CT Farms and/or Orchards, Cold Spring branded products such as salsa, and other area products such as bread from a local bakery. I bought green cabbage, peaches, celery and salsa. Everything seemed appropriate quality for seasonal CT produce. The produce I didn't buy also looked good and represented what's in season pretty well. I will definitely go back for in season produce since I live in the area. This is an observation as opposed to a criticism. The reason I'm giving Cold Brook 4 Stars rather than 5 Stars relates to the extent of their offerings compared to another Farm Stand I frequently visit that's a bit farther away. That Farm Stand has a wide range of partnerships with high end CT businesses and they have things like high quality bagels, cheeses, pies, cupcakes, ice cream sandwiches, etc. That Farm Stand also has a wider range of canned goods, meats, and dairy products etc. I would travel farther to a Farm Stand like that because there are more products that interest me. Cold Spring will be the place I go for convenience when I want in season produce for a few days.

It's neat to see start and end of season at the checkout, and the staff was kind. Thankfully there is extra parking is on both sides of the farm store, in case you're driving East, just look out for wagon traffic on your way through each greenhouse.

Yes, some of the stuff is old, used, and vintage-adjacent, but nothing rare enough to justify the markup. If you're just looking for a weekend wander or want a quirky spot to kill time, it's fine. But if you're a picker, collector, or someone who knows the value of what you're looking at... this probably isn't your gold mine. Personally, I won't be rushing back.

Emilio knows his stuff. I've been vaping for over a year now, and I have a couple different Smok mods, but I've been really unhappy with the current setups that I have. I had prince tanks and just seemed to be burning through the coils, all while not truly enjoying the vape experience. I highly recommend this store if you are in need of CBD. They have many forms of CBD, including oil and topicals. The store is small and intimate. If you're lucky and it's not too busy, Doc might even break out his guitar for an impromptu jam session. If he's hungry he will break out a sandwich for an impromptu ham session. (he loves sandwiches) I like to stop by for a mid afternoon cloud session on my way home from work to just hang out and learn from them while I restock my a la mode or beard 32, or watch Joe make me a coil or two. Employee was angry I didn't renew my pro membership and proceeded to grill me on why I should renew, arguing that it's in my best interest. I again asserted that I didn't want to renew, he rounded up my order by $.02 for a donation of some sort (I'm guessing this is an internal, tracked metric). It's just two cents but obviously contributed to a negative experience. Employee then angrily told me my total. These guys need to learn the balance between increasing sales and creating customer loyalty. Won't be returning.
