so I used this salon on the advice of my wedding venue. First off, I was expecting a phone call to confirm not only my appointment for hair and makeup but for also the appointments of my bridal party that day. All I got was a vague text message confirming MY time not my bridal parties times. Already bad vibes. When the stylist came to the door 2 hours earlier she seems annoyed I wasn't ready. Turns out they didn't specify what time everyone's appointments would start so there was confusion. She did an OK job but not worth what we paid for it and communication was AWFUL. Would NOT recommend for future bridal parties. read more

This salon is amazing! It's super friendly and the staff is amazing! I definitely recommend, the prices are reasonable and they do a fantastic job. I just got my hair done by Krista she's great! Just moved to the area and was looking to have my hair colored before my son's first bday party. When I called ahead to schedule an appointment I was told the hair dresser charges $109 for color, and I was ok with that. I expected to pay maybe $130 for what I wanted. Lauren was nice but said she couldn't do what I asked (I had a picture of what I wanted) but didn't really explain to me why. I suspect it was time restraints for her next appointment, which would've been fine just tell me as such. She described what she could do and I agreed to it. All said and done, it was very different for me. It looked nice in the salon and I knew I was gonna need to get use to it. When I went to check out I was charged $188. I. Was. Not. Happy. Thank God I was charging it bc I wouldn't have had the money for it. When I got home and looked in the mirror, it was way too red for what I wanted. It can be real difficult moving to a new area and finding the right person to cut your hair and do your nails. I have found that perfect place at Artistic Creations. A wonderfully talented make-up artist, hair stylists, and nails painted so perfectly! Each person shines and it doesn't stop there. They dedicate themselves to the community and causes that may affect us all, raising money for cancer, toys for children, food for the town food pantry. They bring sensitivity and humanity to light. I thank Donalee for her precision haircut, for listening and recommending before the scissors touch my hair, and to Krista whose attention to detail is impeccable. I had terrible split ends and postpartum hair loss and I wasn't sure what to do with my hair. Liz gave me some recommendations and helped me figure out what I wanted. My cut and style turned out great and I don't regret cutting my long hair at all! She seriously is such a sweetheart and although I had just met her, I had this calm to trust her completely and I'm glad I did so! I've had my hair done here about 4-5 times this year, and I enjoy it tremendously. Leanne was recommended to me by my two sisters AND my mom, who all go to Artistic Creations exclusively and have for a long time. We all get completely different looks/cuts/colors/etc and Leanne is just so talented- the whole place is great. They take care with every service they provide to ensure great quality and a fun experience for you. I always feel great after I leave- I look great, and my wallet isn't crying :) They also carry a variety of higher end, natural hair products, too. Got makeup done for an event and had her take some off as I looked like I had raccoon eyes. I asked for a light, neutral look. When I got back to my hotel I could see globs of glue visible in the eyelashes. Have had them done before and know this isn't the way they should be look. I wasted my money as I had to remove the lashes which meant washing off all the makeup. Will never recommended. :( read more

Every visit I am greeted by such enthusiasm by everyone! Olivia is absolutely amazing in every aspect one could imagine! I don't usually walk in with a smile but I always walk out feeling calm, gorgeous and as if I spend part of my day with my best friend. I've been to many salons before I came to this one, and when I went here to see Olivia I can honestly say I have never felt so beautiful until I saw her. Every visit I always feel very comfortable, and in good hands. She is very easy to talk too and always makes sure is keeping her clients happy. Finding a new salon is never easy, I was lucky enough to find Artistic Creations almost two years ago. I came to the salon being a natural blonde and wanted to go dark (very dark) which Donalee perfected for a year then I wanted to go back to my natural color. One appointment later I went from dark brown to blonde and more importantly my hair felt healthy. Donalee isn't afraid to try new things but will be realistic also and tell me what I can expect. She is also always concerned with maintaining healthy hair which I never really noticed from other stylists. Other stylists I've had would love to try new things but never stop to consider how it could damage my hair. I've had several horrible experiences prior to finding Artistic Creations. I always leave feeling like a million bucks! I have also gotten a makeup lesson with Liz which was fantastic and I learned some great tips that I use daily. I've gotten my shellac done also there for about a year and have had them done by several staff and I've loved them every time. The salon is exactly what I've always been looking for and would recommend it to anyone looking for any pampering or regular services. I've gotten several compliments from hair to nails. I love artistic creations! I've been seeing Lauren for almost 2 years now and she always does a great job. She is personable and she always makes me feel like I am the center of attention when I am there. She knows how to pamper you and she is a fantastic listener. I love how the salon is involved with community as well. They have fund raisers but there is never any pressure.....it's subtle and professional. They truly care. This salon is hands down the best salon I have ever been to! Not only do I come in for my hair- but also shellac manicures and make up/waxing (if needed) After being with this salon for about a year, I knew I would use Artistic Creations for my wedding day. WEDDING: Donalee made me as a bride and my bridesmaids feel the utmost love during this day. She had set up a table with an impeccable wedding morning spread filled with snacks and mimosas. All of my girls were thrilled to be in the salon and felt like FAMILY! When we all walked into the salon that morning, the staff was just as excited as we were. Nothing cooled my nerves down more than walking in and feeling that love and dedication from the staff. I will be putting pictures up soon of the gorgeous work Meagan did on my updo and make up. Even during my trials she was willing to try a few updos to make sure the one I wanted was the one I got. She really is one of a kind! Donalee made my mom about 10 years younger and absolutely stunning with rich curls and an elegant updo. Lauren is another member at the salon that sticks out with amazing updo talent too. Liz did my bridesmaids' make up and made them look extra beautiful. I was very pleased on this day just as any day. If you are someone who will be looking for wedding hair and make up, these girls are top notch. I have been in quite a few weddings, and the way that Artistic Creations handles their brides and bridal party is by far the best! SHELLAC: Meagan does my nails at the salon. She is always willing to try new ideas I have or designs she has seen/done before. Getting your nails done at this salon is far better than a typical nail salon. They have competitive pricing and you get treated much better. I have seen Krista do nails as well, and she puts in a lot of time to ensure your nails are perfect when leaving her. Both Meagan and Krista are precise and strive for perfection. ENVIRONMENT: Whenever I walk into Artistic Creations, I feel super welcomed and instantly relaxed. All of the ladies on the staff welcome you upon arrival and are invested in making sure your appointment is well taken care of even if you are not their client. To be honest, I enjoy watching every client at the salon while I am there because it amazes me how hard all of these girls work (Aviana and Krista too- AMAZING TALENT), they truly strive to make anyone who walks into the salon feel at home, welcome, respected and truly care and strive to give you that look or style you want. it is a clean, open, and updated salon. Donalee runs a one of a kind salon! EXTRAS: The staff here are dedicated to things other than hair, nails and makeup. They do a lot of charity, new classes and shows. A wedding is a huge event in a persons life so when I found myself looking for a salon to take me and 7 other people on a Sunday they were my only option. Basically I was very disappointed with how the process was handled. Due to the salon normally being closed on a Sunday there was a contract I had to sign to guarantee said services would be paid for plus a service fee of $200 for the salon being open to us. Ok fine that's all fine but when it came down to it I had nothing but problems with my bridesmaids trying to pay for their services ahead of time due to verbiage the girls were using( ie; deposit instead of their balance).The said contract caused me more anxiety and stress leading up to my wedding day. Your a salon we are paying for your services so i would expect more in the aspect of customer service.The day of my wedding I needed to spend an extra 15 minutes trying to cash out when I was already behind because they only had THREE girls to get me and my 7 bridesmaids hair done plus make up for a few...are you kidding me! Over all the experience was disappointing but the stylists were very nice. read more
