I came in for an eyebrow tweeze in preparation for my wedding. I love that they offer this service…read more I've been on prescription Tretinoin forever and I've had a bad experience with my skin peeling off from a wax at another salon. It's been hard to find a place to get my brows done. Christina did an awesome job making them look perfect. They were even able to accommodate a last minute brow tint which made my brows look even better! The salon was easy to find but parking was a little tough.

I called to make an appt at North Loop, and I even got a confirmation but it just said "Haus salon". The day of my service I got to north loop and was told my appt was a northeast (about a 12 min drive). I asked if I should even bother going over there, since I would be late, and after checking the receptionist told me she can reach out and it won't be an issue. So I drove to northeast, pay for street parking, and then I was turned away because I was late and they had another appt. I was so frustrated for 1. The fact that they scheduled me at the wrong place, and 2. gave me incorrect information that led to a waste of time and money. I called north loop and told them they wouldn't take me. They apologized and got me scheduled at north loop 2 days later. The next day I get a call saying that I was scheduled with someone who doesn't do the service I need. Glad they caught it before I showed up, but again lack of knowledge and a waste of time! Be careful trusting that they know what they are doing related to scheduling.

I think someone asked how much a men's cut is: $30 (a bit on the medium end for me), $10 for a shampoo. Credit fees have gone up for retailers, so they prefer cash. Karina cut my hair and I was surprised that she had adjustable metal clippers for the short side length. I was very satisfied with my cut. Both were really friendly and talkative. I would definitely go back.

Scheduling an appointment was super easy, just note that they are only open during "work hours" on weekdays due to their location in the Crossings Commerce. I overhead Moises asking my SO a ton of questions before diving into cut his hair, which is always a good sign. I also have to give him props, since I was the last person to cut my SO's hair, and I had no idea what I was doing...yet his cut still turned out AMAZING! I was super happy with my haircut as well... I usually go for layers and side bangs, and Karina made that happen while honoring the fact that I am still growing out my hair. I have "Asian" hair so it's usually pretty difficult to find somone who can make my hair visions a reality, but Karina was awesome! She also is a great conversationalist, and there were no awkward silences during the cut. I will say that they are super busy--they got tons of phone calls and walk-ins during our cuts, so definitely try to schedule an appointment if you can! I will to continue to happily support this minority owned/family owned business!!!

Amazing massage!…read more You have to remember this is for education for students so you won't get the upscale feel but after the massage got started and I closed my eyes it was like being in a luxury spa. They had the music and essential oils going. The rooms itself is small and not decorated but has the essentials the students need for the massage. I noticed they don't close the doors and just have the curtain so I was a little confused when I was told to undress if the door was going to close or not. It was a sunny day so the sun was shining pretty bright so the room wasn't very dark. They had the fan going but it felt really nice with the heated bed. The foot soak was nice in the beginning, he gave me a choice of essential oils and gave me a little foot scrub after the soak. I did the serenity package for $90 which included an hour of foot reflexology where he followed the chart. The next hour compromised of a face massage (he put gloves on for this), scalp, neck décolleté, arms, legs, abdomen, glute, and back. He really worked out my problem areas and added some stretches in. I was so relaxed and comfortable the whole time. I do have to mention his voice was very calming and soothing and he checked to make sure I was ok with anything before he did it. I really appreciate him spending extra time with all my knots and issues. I wish you great success in the future Dan! They have two free parking lots that had plenty of spaces when I arrived. Bring cash to tip since they can't take tip on a card.

I really don't like posting bad reviews, which is why I personally reached out to the director…read morefirst and explained what happened. I wanted to give them the opportunity to make it right before I posted anything publicly. After everything that happened, I received an "I'm sorry" email. No phone call. Nothing else. My appointment was at 9:15 in the morning. I came in warm and friendly and expected the same energy back. Instead, the substitute instructor's tone and the way she communicated with me was rude and dismissive. When I told her I didn't appreciate how she was speaking to me, I was basically told they were too busy and dismissed. Then the manager backed up the behavior, which honestly made the entire situation worse. The students were actually friendly and warm. I have nothing negative to say about them. My issue is with the instructor and management and how the situation was handled. The leadership, customer service, and lack of accountability I experienced were extremely disappointing. I didn't even start my hair appointment. That's how uncomfortable the interaction made me. I wasted my time and gas and rearranged my nursing school study schedule to be there, just to turn around and leave because of how I was treated. I'm also a business owner, so I understand that people have bad days and things happen. That's exactly why I didn't immediately run online and leave a bad review. I contacted the director personally and gave Aveda the opportunity to address it first. An "I'm sorry" email after the way this was handled isn't enough for me. I have family members and friends who have attended this school, and some have even been instructors there. That makes this experience even more disappointing. It also makes me question how students are treated when they are investing a lot of money into their education and future careers. If this is how I was spoken to and treated as a customer, I think it's a fair question to ask. I will be contacting Aveda corporate and the CEO directly and sharing my experience on social media as well. I honestly thought Aveda was the standard for hair education and customer service in Minnesota. This experience completely changed my perception.
