Brixton Hue is such a beautiful hair salon! It is the perfect location, bring close to down town PL for me living in PL. The salon has a parking lot in the back so it's a plus to not have to find street parking! I got a haircut from Annika and she was incredible & friendly. She cut my hair exactly how I told her I wanted it done and I am super happy with the results! Going to a new hair salon can be intimidating but I felt very comfortable there and Annika made it a great experience. I had my bridal hair done here along with our bridal party and moms as we were getting married at Mystic Lake. Brixton Hue was very accommodating as they let our makeup artist come in and take up two stations so our hair and makeup could be done by a certain time. A few of us were a little bummed that our curls didn't hold but pretty sure it was because of the extreme humidity from that day plus a little rain. I ended up re-curling parts of my hair in the afternoon before the ceremony. I had also had a few prior appointments here to have highlights done and of course my bridal hair trial. Each time I saw a different stylist and they are all such wonderful ladies! I truly felt relaxed and welcomed each time. I loved going to get my hair done! One note of improvement would be being able to receive a printed or digital receipt with itemized charges. I felt confused on what I was paying sometimes and then a second charge was from my tip each time. Wish their systems could be combined so there's one charge and an easy way to access my receipt as their prices online are pretty vague. read more

Great little salon. I wanted to try this place because I live close and I am not regretting this decision. Monica, one the of the 3 stylists, cut my hair and I could tell right away she knew what she was doing. Turns out she really knows her stuff because she used to run her own salon for over 25 years! Seems very rare to have found someone with that much experience in an area like this. Brixton Hue cares about quality and is on a mission to bring downtown quality and aesthetics to sweet ol Prior Lake. A very much needed breath of fresh hair (pun intended) down here. The salon itself is beautifully designed and decorated. They make you feel at home with comfortable furniture and offering of coffee or water. The price is a bit steep for a men's cut, but it's worth it to have peace of mind knowing your hair is in good hands. I highly recommend giving Brixton Hue a shot! I traveled to Prior Lake for a family visit and came across this salon, I am so very pleased I decided to stop in for a cut and a color! Mel (the owner) was able to do my hair that day, and she was the most wonderful. Because it had been so long since I had seen a good hair professional-I sort of let her take the reign. New to the area, looking for somewhere special to keep up my pixie cut. Was able to get a last minute appointment due to cancellation, a relief since stylists everywhere are booked solid this time of year. I saw Mariah for my session and will definitely return. Being a new client she took the time to walk through how I wear my hair daily, listened to what I've had done previously and made a couple suggestions. My time in her chair was enjoyable yet efficient and easily rebooked for January. Looking forward to my return, the salon is sophisticated but not stuffy and very easy to get to. read more
