I'm not usually one to leave reviews but I have to give credit where credit's due. I took my Chevy Malibu here initially to have my brakes inspected for a second opinion after getting a crazy-high expensive quote from another shop. Arabo was very patient and courteous with me, helping me understand my car better since I'm not particularly car savvy. He was honest and upfront with the pricing and when it came time to fix the brakes, rotors, and one of the calipers, he was actively helping me to keep the costs low which is a rarity in this business. When the work was done, he walked me around the car to show me everything that was worked on. The very next day, due to some metallic part that a car or truck had deposited on the road, I had to return it to fix the hub and rims. They were damaged (to the point that I thought was beyond repair) but instead they saved me the cost of replacing them altogether by somehow fixing them for a very reasonable cost! If I could give this place a rating of 6+ stars, I would. I've lived in many cities throughout North America and I've not seen customer service quite like this at an auto shop. They are now my number one stop for any mechanical issues or even just regular maintenance on my car for as long as I stay in the greater Los Angeles area. read more

I find myself coming to this shop more then I need to. That's because my 2008 Cadillac SUV that's nearly 10 years old needs constant maintenance and I always select Arts Auto Care because they have been the most courteous. There is always a nice young man named Arabo who greets me and asks me about my day before saying how he can get me rolling again. He makes sure to tell me amount of time I would need to wait for the services to be complete and also always offers me coffee! I trust everything that he says and my car is still running smoothly. I stop by for oil change, brake check, SMOG Check but he offers services of all kinds. I only come here for my car needs PS: there is a nice breakfast burrito spot close by called Corner Cottage that is walking distance from Arts Auto Care to grab something to eat while you wait for your car. read more

This review has been a long time coming. I was towed to Art's Auto Care by AAA a few years when my clutch gave out. I have been fully devoted to them ever since. My car is 15 years old and has seen its fair share of mechanics. I have often struggled to find someone that isn't trying to rip me off, or - let's face it - a total creep. That said, I could never find a more trustworthy and upstanding auto service than Art's. Arabo and his dad are skilled, kind, communicative, and reliable. The car shift linkage on my 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer broke unexpectedly, and AAA recommended Art's Auto Care in Burbank. I'm so happy that I found this auto shop! Arabo was FANTASTIC. He took such great care of me and my car. Not only was he able to order a replacement part to arrive same-day, but he made sure the labor was done in a timely fashion so I could get back on the road again in no time. He even did a 24-point inspection to make sure that everything else in my old car was running properly, and pointed out that I was overdue for an oil change. I've been going to Western Tires in Burbank for over twenty years, and when I asked them to refer me to a good mechanic, they recommended Art's Auto Care without hesitation. I initially brought my car to them for a headlight issue, but asked if they could check the A/C as well, which wasn't working. When they took the front bumper off, they told me that the car frame was bent, which only made the repairs harder to accomplish. But they were able to finally fix it, and now the car will be cool to drive around in this summer. I cannot recommend Art's Auto Car more highly. They did an incredible job. read more

I've been going to Art's Auto Care for years and I bring all my vehicles in for routine basic maintenance. I brought my truck in for an oil change today and not only did they change the oil, but they also found a small leak in my radiator hose and fix the problem. Every time I bring one of my vehicles in, not only do they fix whatever is wrong, but they inspect to see what problems to look out for in the future. I asked the owner to diagnose and repair the source of two error lights on the dash. He told me he would charge $75. I said fine, that seems very reasonable. When I arrived at the end of the day, he said all was well, the lights should not have been on, and charged me $285--without ever informing me of this "new rate." I was angry, however, since he said nothing was functionally wrong with the car, I paid it and left and decided never to return. On the way home, one light went back on. A couple days later, the other light went back on. He would not give me even a partial refund. He was very insistent that he had fixed the car. Unfortunately, my credit card company wouldn't even help me out. Too difficult to prove, they said. Total woman-exploiting scammer. I ultimately took my car to the dealership where I discovered that, in fact, the lights indicated that two things were wrong--and they were covered by warranty. Lesson learned? Stick with the dealership. read more

What a wonderful place! This place is within walking distance of where I live. The other day, I was driving down the 210 when I got a flat tire, thanks to something metal in the road. I was close to my exit, thankfully, and remembered seeing the place from the many times I have driven by it and decided to stop there. Although Art doesn't usually do work on tires, he helped me put my spare tire on and then ordered new tires (I was in need of new tires, so I decided to change them all instead of just the one that needed it) and agreed to put them on for me when they came in. I now have four brand new tires and he charged me a fair price. I had to wait a little longer than I probably would have if I had gone to a chain place, but it was worth the wait (as he didn't have a stash of tires). Art is honest and reliable. He is the type of guy who actually wants to help you, not just sell you as much as he can to make a quick buck. Contrary to other reviews, I have had very bad experiences here. The owner is very nice, but I have had several repairs here fail. Transmission, clutch, engine rebuild, a/c, and a body damage problem. NEVER drop your car off here without a WRITTEN estimate!! I got charged $2400 for a verbal $800 estimate. read more

I needed to charge my battery on my Honda Accord, cause my Honda dealer told me to do so. So I called the AAA and it referred me to Art's Auto Care in Burbank. So I called them and I talked to Arabo and he was so nice over the phone, and he told me bring to car over to our shop and I'll check the battery for you. So I drove my Honda to the Art's Auto Care, once I got there, I was greeted with a SMILE by Jores who's the father of Arabo. Mr. Jores has an amazing personality and he was so friendly toward me and a bit later I met Arabo. What a nice family owned auto mechanic shop. As I was explaining to them about my car battery, in my my mind I decided that I would bring my Honda Accord right here for repair and services. Jores checked my battery and he said to me there's nothing wrong my battery, but I'll charged a bit to make me feel better, "what an honest person" wow! To me the Art's Auto Care deserves 10 STARS instead of 5. After so many years of searching for a car mechanic I finally found one that are friendly and honest. Thank you Jores and Arabo. My serpentine belt blew out on the 5. Being relatively new to LA I do not have a mechanic so AAA towed me to the closest shop w/in my Mike's and close to my house, that's how I found Art's Auto Care. Always the skeptic, as a woman and dealing with a new mechanic, I had my guard up. But the owners son was very helpful and kind and quoted me under what the going rate is for a belt replacement. I asked that they do a check on the rest of the car, nothing huge came up but they quote me for a new taillight as mine has lost its lens. Their quote was over $50 less than the dealer quote and when I opted to wait to repair it, never received any pressure. I have found my new mechanic and have recommended Art's to many friends. I haven't actually had any repairs done on my car by Art's, but they deserve a 5-Star rating for their customer service, honesty, and integrity. Having recently moved to the area, my new roommate had asked me if I had a car mechanic. While my Hyundai Sonata is under a 10 year warranty plan, I didn't have a personal relationship with anyone at a Hyundai dealer so I was open to having a new spot. Sure enough, my car won't start one day, and I get the opportunity to tow it over to Art's Auto Care. Enter Arabo. Hey says it's a problem with the starter and gives me an estimate. I then realize that the part may be covered under my warranty, and over the phone a local Hyundai dealer confirms. I feel bad about taking my car to their shop just to have it towed somewhere else, but Arabo understood and encouraged the decision. Months later, while driving, my car simply shuts down. Fortunately I'm not on the freeway and am able to pull over and park my car. Maybe I ran out of gas so I put in a couple gallons, but that wasn't it. Called AAA for a battery jump, but they thought it may be something else and sent a tow truck. Sure enough, when trying to start my car, the engine started to smoke, possibly something electrical. I have the car sent back to Art's. The problem? The starter. Which my previous Hyundai dealer had supposedly fixed. Now I'm at a dilemma. I want to give Art's my business, because Arabo has been awesome and honest, and because the Hyundai dealer had apparently not successfully repaired my vehicle. However, if the Hyundai dealer had not successfully repaired my vehicle, it would make sense to take it back to them to have it re-done free of charge. Once again, Arabo agreed, and wished me luck. It turned out to be the right decision, as it was also a problem with the engine itself, and both the starter and engine are being replaced, both covered by the warranty. It could have been easy either time for them to try to convince me to stay in order to get my business, but they made my best interest their priority. Thanks Arabo!! I hope my car never breaks down again... but if it's anything outside of my warranty, I'm taking it to you! read more

I love this place. I had an emergency issue arise at 6:27pm on a Friday evening when my car would not turn off. I called Art's frantic and Arabo promised me they'd stay open and wait for me. Once my two year old daughter and I arrived at the auto shop, they assessed the car and let us know it would need to stay overnight. Arabo personally drove my daughter and I home in our car, and then drove it back to the shop himself. He called the next morning to let me know the issue and cost and got to work finishing it before his original estimation. When the car was finished, I had no way of getting my daughter and myself to the shop so Arabo came, again in my car, to pick us up drove us back to the shop so I could pay and close out. They truly saved us. Their customer service is excellent, they were honest with their assessment, and efficient with their work.
