Really not impressed with the food, unfortunately. The prices for the entrée are wayyyy too high for the amount and quality of food you get. The people are nice and the atmosphere is relaxing, but not impressed with the food. Perhaps next time I'll try the pizza since that seems to be the popular choice. read more

Meh! I suppose for the Watertown area it is alright. The food was bland and rather average. The pizza, while a step above the national franchise quality, is not that impressive and the red sauce on their pasta dishes tastes like it came from a jar. The place does have some history though and is a local mainstay. read more

This place is hit or miss. Don't show up without reservations because they say they don't fill their dining room but we got here at 5 and there was no tables available until 7:30. The food is delicious (but the bread is cold). I've had the pizza, wings, pesto pasta and every time the food is legit. The lemon berry pound cake is amazing. The house dressing is one of the top 2 in town! One of the best places in this area food-wise. The service is not great. The first time I came I was pregnant, having dinner with a friend and we were asked to leave because we had been there too long - even though we ate and tipped and there were other open tables (we were there less than 2 hours total). The other times, the service is just slow which seems to be the modus operandi for most places in this area. Definitely recommend eating here just don't expect much of the service/manager/hostess. read more

Great pizza and the toasted ravioli was amazing. Decent selection of beer and wine. Service is always top notch.

Checked out the menu on-line before we went and was wanting some seafood pasta. Said $20 for that dish so i thought to myself "must be really good and fresh for that price". Got there and ordered that. The gal brought it out and smelled really fishy - in a bad way. The crab was fake crab, which really should be stated in the description of the dish, but for the price i thought i was getting the real deal. The scallops were weird. Had to send the dish back and by then my stomach was so turned around i didn't want anything else, although they did offer to bring me something else. My kids had the pizza and that was good. Wait staff was friendly, took a little long to return for appetizer orders I think. After ordering appetizers arrived on time and were good. Drinks were a bit slow on getting refilled from bar. Entrees were warm not hot as I would expect, fish was bland and my wife's dish was not very good. Portion size a little small but the pricing was appropriate. read more

I ordered takeout at 715 tonight and they told me that it would leave at 800. At 820 we called because the pizza still wasn't there. Manager said they were running late and he had already left. Twenty more minutes passed with no pizza so we called back. Manager was very rude and had no answer as to why it wasn't there. He even hung up on my husband. Pizza finally got here and was ice cold. We used to order all the time but I guess that we will go elsewhere. read more

Its been a while since I've ate at Arts so last night was a pleasant surprise when my girlfriend decided she wanted to just share a pizza for dinner. While many people might brush Arts off due to the location that would a mistake. The decor of Arts is nice and cozy. There is plenty of room to accommodate for larger groups of diners if need be. I've had a variety of dishes over the years ranging from pizza,seafood,steak,sandwiches and pasta and have never been disappointed. Last night's pizza was delicious. The toppings were sausage,peppers,onions,and mushrooms. The amount of cheese was perfect and I loved the sauce. The waitress was very nice and was right there whenever we needed beverages. If you are not looking to eat at the restaurant most if not all of the dishes are available to take out. The take out section is on a separate side of the restaurant which makes it very convenient. I'll definitely be eating here again in the near future and I will give updated reviews. read more

The front desk at our hotel raved about the pizza, saying it was outstanding and phenomenal....so we ordered 2 pizzas for delivery. Service was friendly & arrived when they said it would. It looked delicious, though very skimpy on toppings. The sausage on the pizza was yummy. However the rest pretty much sucked. It was edible, but I think I've had better frozen pizzas. The crust was flavorless and I assume it was some kind of shell. I wouldn't ever order again or recommend their pizza. read more

Was in town for the night driving home. Really enjoyed this place. Don't let the outside fool you, inside is warm and friendly. We weren't real hungry so Just had pizza and scallop appetizer. Great place. My husband LOVES their clam sauce for pasta and I LOVE their antipasto salad. The dressing is sooooooo good!!

I lived a up the block from this place and I just happened to go there to eat because I was too lazy to go somewhere further to eat. I was very satisfied with the portion of food they offer. It was a lot bigger than what I am used to from most restaurant. I had the steak from them and I had to take part of it to-go back. Took the family here a few days ago for pizza. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. First, we order drinks. Did not know that the soda was in bottles with no refill. Paid $3 EACH!!!! If I had known that I would have gotten water. Finally, the waitress brings us some bread while we wait because we didn't want appetizers. Cold bread with burnt garlic powder on it. The pizza was square, thin, and disgusting. It was supposed to be a large. I cant imagine how small a small is. I dont often write reviews unless the food warrants it. This is one of those times. My wife and I were quite disappointed with this place. Perhaps this was due in part to the great reviews and acclaim we heard prior, but when we dined here, our experience was different. I am a two time fool in ordering delivery from Arts Jug. The king cut of prime rib is less than the regular cut they serve in the restaurant. - twice. Med rare is med well done upon delivery. Their salad is a tiny wedge of tomato and a minor slice of purple onion on ice-burg lettuce. Highly overpriced and, at best, a rip-off. read more

I work at a hotel in watertown and not only is Arts Jug a staff favorite, but it is also a consistent hit with guests. Fair prices, good food, speedy delivery. If youre gettng pizza in watertown, don't bother with anywhere else. read more
