I gave this place so many chances, it was a hit or miss each time I went. But the last time I went for a pedicure I was extremely disappointed... I could have painted my toes better! Nail polish was all over my toes, she didn't tidy it up. Another time I went for a Mani and when the woman was cutting my cuticles she cut my skin and I was bleeding. She didn't say sorry or anything and went along like nothing happened and there wasn't blood in her face. read more

Arts Nails is fantastic. I was driving through Lewiston on my way to a wedding in Boothbay and found them on Yelp. They do not take reservations so I was very hesitant to go since I was on a schedule. However, they have plenty of staff to handle large volume. They were very honest with their wait time. Expected to get a nice pedicure since this place is rated 4 stars, by far is one of the worse pedicures I've ever gotten. I had to ask several times to fix my the polish because it was lumpy, get them filed uniformly because the bails were uneven, all together lasted probably 15-20 minutes, no even the slightest massage ,in few words, I do not recommend this place and I will not come back. My first visit to Art nails . Nice place , clean . Had a gel pedi with hot stones I had an older man who did not conversational which was fine. I don't think he spoke English but there was an Asian man employee you helped with translating . For the most part they seemed to be following covid 19 procedures but every one was very close together . They had hand sanitizer and masks and you had to sign a paper with your name and number . Which is a good thing . I got there just after it opened and it was quite busy ! And a line when I left so that's always a good sign ! I chose this spot due to many positive Facebook ratings. Nothing but good things to say about this place! I'm new to Maine so I've been to a couple different places for my nails in Portland and haven't really been all that impressed. I live in Brunswick so driving up to Lewiston was a risk but so worth. The salon is so cute and I only had to wait 10 min on a busy Saturday. I did not catch the ladies name but she paid so much attention to detail and made sure it looked identical to the pic I brought in. Definitely worth the drive and can't wait to come again read more

Came here just to get a gel manicure removed, a quick process that the website says is $10 which is great! They don't accept appointments so I showed up on a Wednesday at 11am and there were probably around ten people waiting. I put my name on the waitlist outside the door (there's a sign asking you not to come in) and waited.... 40 minutes later (with only 2 people leaving) I decided it wasn't worth it to wait. Several people also decided to leave. I can't give a review as to their skills unfortunately because I wasn't able to go in. :( I think having a schedule would really benefit everyone involved! read more

What a lovely experience! Everyone was so kind, they have a great way to check in, pick your color, and a relaxing waiting area. All the technicians are polite and great at what they do. I loved the technician that worked on my nails, he made sure to file them to perfection, and spent his time when applying the dip. Definitely recommend! I will be returning for sure. read more

I really like this nail salon! I have been here twice now. Both experiences were good. The prices are around what I generally expect to pay for nail services and they offer a 10% discount off your total if you pay in cash. They have the largest collection of dip powders that I have yet to see in any salon, which is the main service I have been getting done recently. Both times my nails have lasted for around 3 weeks which is what I had hoped for, and which tells me the products and application is nice quality! There hasn't been a long wait either time because they have between 9-13 employees working on any given day, and they have you sign in if there is going to be a wait to keep track of the order. I would say this salon is efficient, but also puts care into the work that they do, and I will continue to come back. read more

I've always had a great experience here, the ladies are all very hip and up to date with nail types and designs. The guys have given me great pedicures. Prices are decent compared to a lot of salons I've been to. One thing for sure, expect your nails to last past two weeks, which is awesome. This place is absolutely overpriced. The old women asked what I wanted and I showed her a picture. She said it'll be $97. I couldn't afford that much (my fault) but what I was asking for, wasn't that much. Just a simple acrylic and color. I was there on 2/28/2020, with my two daughters. We all wanted pedicures, I wanted a full set of acrylics, one daughter got the dip, and my other daughter got shellac. Let's start with the pedicures all three technicians that we got gave a sub-par pedicure, there was no massage involved at all basically we soaked our feet, got old polish removed, and some sugar scrub on our calves and that was that. Moving onto the services for our hands, my daughter that got the dip was happy with her results, my daughter that got shellac not so much here nails were peeling off in two days, me my full set of acrylics bubbled before day one was over, and have all fallen off. Now I'm not one to complain but when you drop 300. 00 bucks on services you expect them to be good. Needless to say, we are not happy customers and will not be returning. Buyer be warned. read more

Not many places in Maine to get eyebrows waxed and this place is definitely not worth the $10. Prepare for 1-2 hour wait for a mediocre eyebrow job that is absolutely overpriced. They could re-study how a proper arch is supposed to look and provide more training to the rest of the staff. Will cut down on wait time and customers won't have to watch several people come after them get serviced first. read more

Inconsistent! 1st visit = best gel French tips ever, done by gentleman in front on right. His work even complimented 2.5+ months later when nails redone while out of town. 2nd visit = worst gel French manicure ever, done by seemingly new stylist- 2 weeks later polish peeling, chipping, nails breaking painfully into nail bed. 3rd visit- Went back to have polish removed, same stylist as 2nd visit = nails sanded, scraped leaving divots-all nails had to be cut to nail bed & 1 below. NO apology, NO offer of reimbursement, NO offer of free removal. Will go elsewhere. read more

Got a manicure here yesterday. Very busy salon, lots of technicians and customers. Clean environment and friendly staff. Got a French manicure with dip which came out awesome. They treat me like family here as they know me by name, and know what services I typically get on a regular basis. The wait was really long, almost an hour. I was there for a total of 3 hours which was very unnecessary. The cost was $35 for acrylics with two different colors. The nails were extremely durable and lasted for 3 weeks without growing out. They insisted I pay half way through the nail job which was odd too me because everywhere else I've been does it at the end. The smell inside the salon is very intense, I got a headache almost instantly after walking in. Overall, it was a good nail job it's the environment that made me rate it 3 stars. read more
