I got a gift card from a friend and used it towards the spa manicure. Best manicure I've ever had! They had a great hand scrub they used that really helped exfoliate and soften my very dry skin. My skin had been cracking and bleeding all winter and since getting the manicure my skin has been so smooth. All the staff are warm and welcoming. I look forward to going back to try a facial service. They had a lot of great products for sale as well, such as cosmetics and lotions, most that I looked at were vegan and cruelty free. Very clean and inviting place. read more

I love this place! I was having a break out and went to get a facial as a desperate effort to fix it. Thinking that this lady was going to sell me something I didn't want, I just went for the sake of the facial itself. I was surprised that it was the best facial I've ever had. She really put some thought into my facial and wasn't just going through the motions. She didn't push any products on me but sent me home with some samples. Sure enough I cleared up! I came back a few weeks later and purchased the products she gave me to sample and got another facial. Was so happy to find this place, I thought I would need to drive all the way to Portland to get a decent spa experience. I also got my eyebrows and a massage done there and was very happy with both. read more

Best place in Maine to get any of your spa needs. Michelle is awesome for massages and Jen does a wonderful job with both facials and mani/pedis. I don't live in Maine, but every time I come to visit my parents I always make sure I have the time to treat myself at Healthy Beauty! read more

We have researched to find quality and healthy products to help our clients feel and look their best. Our main focus is on our clients' needs and well-being.

History

Established in 2009.

The idea of Healthy Beauty came to me after several years in the beauty business when I realized that what we put on our skin and in our bodies becomes a part of us. With our skin being the largest organ of our bodies, it is more important than ever to be aware of what we take in and put on our skin. And so, I proceeded to research the best supplements for our bodies (plant-based Mannatech) and test and test skin care and make-up lines. I can honestly say without reservation that I feel we have found the best around; Jane Iredale The Skin Care Makeup, Cosmedix The Most Effective Corrective, Luzern Pure Cosmeceuticals, and Spa Ritual Vegan Spa Collection for body and nail care, to name a few.

Healthy Beauty is also about educating ourselves and awareness of what we need to be the best we can be inside and out. Along my journey I was blessed to meet a lady who is now our Wellness Educator Patricia Estes. She has been in the Holistic healthcare field for about 20 years and is here to help our clients achieve wellness through self-care. Wellbeing is the ability to express ones life with clarity, vitality and creativity, says Patty. I have also been blessed to have met 2 key members of our staff Kelley Green-Chartier, an aesthetician & manicurist, Jennifer Marston, an aesthetician with a bachelors degree in business. I would also love you to meet Erica Dionne, our receptionist who also has a bachelors degree in business as well, and our Massage Therapists, Susan Burroughs & Erica Dallaire. The entire staff here at Healthy Beauty look forward to helping you be the best YOU inside and out.

I've had the demarcation line with grey/silver 1/3 of the way down my hair and the rest a mix of ashy blonde, yellow, and darker brown. There was a lot going on. I was clear with Amy that I do NOT want to get back into a routine of having to color. As an avid scuba diver and outdoorswoman, I am definitely a wash and wear kind of girl. I am NOT going to take any time, so it's got to be easy for me. She knocked it out of the park. Put in I don't even know how many different toners - actually treated every section of my hair that had something different going on, individually. No more line. No more burnt out yellow - just a beautiful blend of my natural silver/salt & pepper, toned. It will take me a day or two to get used to the change but it's time to embrace the "sexy, older woman" vibe. I can say, within 15 minutes of leaving the salon, I had one stranger, and 4 friends give me amazing compliments. They all love it. I know I will too.
