Walked from Dixie Highway down Hollywood Blvd all the way to the ArtsPark. When I was a teen this park was the home of vagrants and scary at night. At that time, there was a small movie theatre, Publix and a Subway. Now the are is full of restaurants and ultra posh condos. The music arena is still here but heavily updated with manicured grass wide sidewalks and families walking around.

I came here before and never took the time to review it. I came for a concert this time and had a lot of fun. Living in Hollywood I just Ubered over which was very easy. Leaving is a challenge because there's not a clear pick up point being in the of a circle. The facility was clean and so were the restrooms. I'd return for another event.

The ArtsPark at Young Circle is located in a 10-acre circle named after the City's founder, Joseph Wesley Young at US 1 and Hollywood Boulevard in downtown Hollywood. If you drive from downtown to the beach, you will most likely pass this green space. The park was dedicated in March 2007, offering residents and visitors a wide array of visual and performing arts themed educational, recreational, and entertainment activities. Besides the nice green spaces, there are broad paved promenades for strolling or jogging, a children's play area with an interactive fountain, and a spectacular feature fountain designed by internationally acclaimed public artist Ritsuko Taho of Japan. Just a nice landmark in the Hollywood downtown area.

Good truck festival on Monday nights. This is a fun time!

Mixed reviews here but our time was wonderful! This is a great small park with some things to climb and spin on. There is also a splash pad that's fun to play in and run through. If the park isn't your thing, there is a lot of green space to kick a soccer ball or throw a football. On Monday nights they have food trucks and luckily we figured it out soon enough to go. They had around 15 trucks there with every type of food you can imagine (BBQ, burgers, tacos, egg rolls, lobster, corn, grilled meats, arepas, and on and on). We decided to grab food from a few different trucks and share it all. We loved the egg rolls we tried and the rolled ice cream. The lobster roll was okay and the grilled chicken arepa was awful. Overall it was a beautiful evening in the park, playing and eating.

If you have not been swung around the circle then you have not properly visited Hollywood Fl. The city of Hollywood was designed by founder Joseph Young. Unique to his design was the incorporation of three large circles of land located along the main boulevard. These circles became the sites of a ten-acre park which was originally named Harding Circle and later renamed Young Circle, a circle for the city hall complex, and the third circle for a military academy. If you have ever driven around the Artspark at Young Circle it is like a roundabout but on steroids. People race around it at high speeds while others frantically try to find the exit off. It's quite an experience if you miss your exit you will be swinging around again. Inside the circle is a large park where the city holds events. There is no parking in the actual circle so you need to find parking along one of the city streets or in the downtown parking garage. Normally it is not a problem but if there is an event it can be tricky. Inside the park is a bust of city founder Joseph Young, a covered playground, splash fountain, restrooms, visual arts pavilion features live glass blowing demonstrations, salsa dance classes, and an art gallery. An 2,500 guest amphitheater hosts free weekly concerts and events like a free movie night. Currently the city Christmas tree and Hanukkah display is set up here. The circle is the cultural arts heart of the city. It is also favored by the homeless residents of Hollywood. When there is events the police sweep them out but when you visit on your own it is best to keep aware of your surroundings. Other than that the landscaping is lovely and it is a beautiful place to spend an afternoon.

I've been taking my kids to this park since they were little. It's a great place to sit under their huge tree and watch the kids run around and play. What's so convenient about this park is all the stores in walking distance all around. On Fridays in the summer they have funtastic Fridays where you interact with a dj and play games, and once the sun goes down you lay your blanket or chairs down and watch a kid friendly movie under the stars. They have a water sprinkler for the kids to get wet in the hot florida sun. They also have a glass class where they teach you how to sculpt glass. The people are friendly and polite. Arts park is a cool and fun place to take the kids or even read a nice book and be alone, make new friends or have a picnic.

We went for the So Flo wine and beer festival in the downtown Art Park Hollywood. This was a nice event a little small but very nice with good music, some refreshing wine, and delicious beer. There were only two vendors selling food. I went with my friend and we got to try they'll fruit wine from Schnelby in Homestead. They were also people for selling kettle popcorn with flavors like hot sweet, and buffalo wings which was the spicy and I loved it. The DJ was playing music and another person was singing live but honestly, the music was a little loud.

This park is absolutely beautiful. The best is the way it was decorated. Since it was the holidays there were Christmas lights and a big Christmas tree. Plenty of activities going on and alot of family's just spending some quality time. We walked around just to suck in all the beauty, I love being outdoors. There were a group of people doing a drumming and letting the crowd participate and even handed out some drums to the crowd. They had that little section hype. There was also a business that does glass fire blowing to make beautiful figurines for any occasion. They even have public seating so you can watch this art form come together. If selected from the crowd yoy get to help form a piece. It was such a great experience, must come back and hopefully get hand picked from the crowd to try this fire glass art

I had driven past Young Circle when occasionally venturing to the 9-5-4 and saw just the empty park space. Of course, my trips to Broward were a rarity, until last night. I saw an announcement for a new ArtsPark Amphitheater with two of my favorite groups performing, Expose and EnVogue (http://youtu.be/gzhmSGc518w). For "Classical" music of my high school years, I HAD to make the trip! The performing theater itself is an architectural marvel with ginormous steel framing and columns. In addition to the temporary light towers set up for the show, they had huge LED posts for concert-worthy effects. The sound system was loud enough that even in the back I could still hear the "Funky Divas", and they weren't drowned out by my friends' karaoke impression. In addition to the concert space, there was also a bathroom building (didn't check it) and food kiosks. There were also some carts outside selling carnival fare (funnel cakes and the like), but I think that was just specific for last night's event. There's street parking around the park, and well as valet in the (walking distance) Downtown Hollywood strip. My passport is ready for future trips to Broward!

They always seem to have free events here. I saw a free Gin Blossoms concert at the big stage which was great. The sound quality and lighting was just as good as other outdoor concerts I've attended. Of the cultural events, I think the Asian Festival was the most professional and entertaining. I went to another event where they celebrated "all cultures" and it was not as good lol. They had hundreds of free cupcakes and party favors for their birthday celebration, which was awesome. I would highly recommend getting on the email list or checking the city's calendar if you want a heads up on all the special events that the City of Hollywood produces. Although the park is surrounding by a huge traffic circle with cars going at all times, the park is big enough that it's safe for your kids to run in the grass or play at the playground. They have a splash pad that is a hit with the kids. There is a good amount of concrete seating, but I wish there was more varied seating areas (especially if you'e attending the food truck event). So bring a blanket (ideally with a waterproof layer) to use on the huge grass lawn. The glass blowing facility located to the left of the stage is pretty cool. It's fun to watch the demos and there is concrete stadium style seating inside. The glass blowing facility makes the Arts Park unique and you can even purchase items for your home. Arts Park is a great place to take a long walk, watch the entertainment on the stage on special days, and have the kids get some exercise. Afterwards, there are a ton of restaurants within walking distance. There is a parking garage nearby that was $1/hr. The garage helps a lot because parking around the circle is limited and there are time limits on some spots. The garage was at Polk Ave and N. 19th Ave.

This neighborhood park in Hollywood was named in honor of Salvatore "Sal" Oliveri (June 11,…read more1928~April 27, 2019). Sal was born in Queens, New York. In 1960 he moved to Hollywood, Fl with his wife Maria where the couple would reside for the next 59 years. Sal worked as an insurance advisor with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for 32 years. He served his city as Mayor (1990-1992) and Commissioner (1998-2008). He was also involved with many community service and civic organizations including the Hollywood Hills Civic Association, President; Interfaith Council, President and Board Member; Kiwanis Club, Elks, Knights of Columbus and Member of the Nativity Catholic Church. This park was created out of land sold to the city by a nearby church. While Sal was still alive he petitioned to have this soon to be built park in his community named after him. People in the community groups he served in wrote letters of support. In late 2008 Hollywood named the new Veterans Park at 4701 Tyler St. after Oliveri in honor of his longtime service to the community. Oliveri said he was humbled by the gesture. During the opening of the park ceremony he said "I feel like it is a fitting final chapter to my loving service to the city of Hollywood. It means a lot to me to share this joy with so many of my neighbors, friends, and supporters." Sal Oliveri Veterans Park is completely fenced in which is a great safety feature for children. The parking lot has room for around three cars. I love that this park has a restroom. Other park amenities include a water fountain and bottle refiling station, metal roof picnic shelter with tables, and playground structures with shade coverings on artificial turf. There are also benches and tables, a walking path, and an asphalt hopscotch board. The water feature splash pad with a palm tree is currently closed for repairs. The park has a lot of large trees providing shade and beauty to the park. I even saw a monk parakeet in one of them. This is a great recreational space for play, exercise, and nature.
