Item 2: Regardless of what you call it, I love this place, and have since the 1970s. This place is a little neighborhood hole-in-the-wall, and I don't think the decor has changed since the 1970s (literally). Who says that's a bad thing? GYROs: Bottom line is that this is some of the BEST tasting gyro meat I've ever eaten. Period. It's flavored to perfection, and cooked to juicy yet crisp perfection, also. I have no idea what spices they add to the lamb/beef mixture (nutmeg? cumin? cinnamon?) but it has a unique and delicious flavor. This is the first place where, as a little kid, I ever ate a gyro, and they still make one of the best. (Not that my ethnic background matters, but I am Greek, and I've eaten a lot of gyros in a lot of cities and countries). If this is not the best, it's damned close to it. The chicken kabobs are excellent too. When I feel like eating something with more protein and less fat, this is my go to. These are fantastically seasoned and grilled perfectly every time. They come with rice or fries, and some veggies. The Greek salads are next level. They are large, well presented, well put together, and come with a BIG ASS SLAB of feta cheese. The homemade Greek dressing is not the best I have ever had, but it is more than serviceable. Pizza? Oh yeah, the pizza.... J & G,s thin crust pizza is also excellent. The flavor of the sauce is more traditional than what you will find at Amie's or Gino's, and therefore, may appeal to a wider range of tastes. I'd stick with the more basic toppings. To drink, they have milk and pop for the kids, and beer and wine for the adults. In case you haven't guessed, their wine list includes retsina and mavrodaphne. Obviously, as the place is also Upside Brewing, they have a pretty nice selection of beer. Upside has a few taps, and multiple taps from other local and regional brew houses are available. They do get busy, but we've never had unacceptably slow or rude service.

For those in the know, Inky's is the champ. It's everything Toledo pizza should be. It's perfectly greasy. It's perfectly salty. The crust is perfectly thin and perfectly crispy. I'm a pepperoni guy so the toppings are loaded and dispersed in the way they should be. The brothers down the street by the mall get it almost right, but nothing compares to a Detroit Avenue Inky's pizza. It's been too long since I've had one and it won't take me as long to get back here. Bravo, Inky's. Bravo.

She told him he would have to wait another 20 minutes He was pissed and left. This is not how a small town business should treat their local customers! We've lived here 3 years and have been loyal customers. This woman always answers the phone like she hates her job, she's always disrespectful and rude. I dont know if she's the owner or manager or just a disgruntle employee but she definitely needs some help with out to properly treat customers, especially customers with allergies!! The pizza is made thin crust style and is soft and sort of floppy instead of crunchy which we really liked. The pizza tasted great and wasn't short on the toppings. In fact, I'm so glad this place actually knows what "extra cheese" means! The sauce had a nice amount of sweetness and they put just the right amount. The cinnamon bread was also really good and even though I would have liked a little more cinnamon, the bread was soft and kind of moist. We have had the opportunity to have some really great pizza across the country including real Chicago deep dish at Giordano's. Even so, we've always been partial to Domino's since they recently changed their recipe but I can say we enjoyed Jo-Jo's just as much. The menu also has a good variety including subs and salad. The sauce here is on the other end of the spectrum from Gino's. It tastes grown-up, in a good way. The all meat pizza dominated, however. Looking forward to trying some of the other menu items.
