We appreciated that the pasta is made in house, but unfortunately several pasta dishes were noticeably overcooked. There were also some issues with special requests not being followed, and rather than correcting one of the meals, a discount was offered instead. Calvino's does not have a full bar, but they do have an extensive wine selection and some nice beers to choose from. If everyone at the table is ordering wine, go for the bottle as it will save you money. They have some really nice, inexpensive wines that pair very well with pasta - you won't break the bank on wine (but you could...)! All in all, it was a great night! The bill for the two of us came to $55.00 (that's including the tip)! The service was great, the food was outstanding - the best Italian meal I've had in Toledo, hands down.

Same salad, bread and butter, etc. The red sauce tasted like Inky's and the eggplant was prepared the same way. It was quite good. My dining partner had the chicken alfredo. He loved it, so another big plus! The pasta portion was very generous for a lunch portion too. The waitress was super friendly, and the food arrived very quickly. The only "quibble" was none of our dirty dishes were removed during the meal, so the table was kind of full by the end. The restroom was clean, as was the rest of the place. It's in a really convenient spot and I'd definitely go back.

I tried the noodles and her dish was even saltier than mine. My husband got the chicken Francese. He said that was salty too. The pizza was ok but the crust was as hard. I didn't want to complain but when three of ours meals are really salty , it's not acceptable. I didn't want them to send out any dishes like what was served to us to other patrons. Sometimes the kitchen gets their sugar and salt mixed up. I was hoping that they checked this once we complained. The waiter apologized and tried to make it right by offering a dessert.
