He takes the time to explain medications and medical information in terms that a layperson can understand, which I truly appreciate. My sleep doctor referred me to Dr. Kezirian, and I'm so incredibly grateful she did. First off, though my time with them was brief, I really liked the doctor's office staff. During out meeting, Dr. Kezirian went over the the possible causes of my issue and explained that he would need to do a sleep endoscopy to find out specifically what was happening. Not only did he not rush through time with me, but listened to all my questions - without cutting me off! - and answered all of them clearly. Once he discovered the specific cause of the problem, he told me which methods might help, their pros and cons, and finally we landed on implanting the Inspire device as the best option. In zoom meetings leading up to the out-patient procedure, he again explained what would happen, answered questions (even a couple I'd already asked, and gave me information about what would happen post-op. Everything went extremely well! Also, I cannot give enough compliments to the staff at the UCLA Santa Monica Outpatient Surgery Center, where both the sleep endoscopy and the device implantation were done. Every nurse, technician, and doctors who I met and took care of me pre- and post-surgery were just awesome.
