I'm 4 months into my annual contract and Aruza has been nothing short of amazing! I was having a black ant problem in the kitchen and one bathroom and they came out as many times as needed to get the ants eradicated, happy to say that goal was accomplished. The techs have been on time and consistently professional and knowledgeable. Also their automated notification system for appointment and billing is spot on! Update: Aruza sent another service tech to my home to check and see what they could do to better control the situation with the pest control. The tech and I discussed the issues I have been having and what he would do to make it better. He ended up treating my home, focusing on our conversation about what my expectations are and what he could do, I do feel that he went over and beyond to make right the situation. So I hope that this time around does the trick. First Post: This pest control is very lacking. When we moved in there were spiders, some sort of centipedes, silverfish, and ants all over. After a few months of Azura coming out to treat our home, and coming back to treat each month instead of every other month at times, there were no changes. Here's my story of how Aruza pest decided to charge me for service without my permission. A guy came through the neighborhood door knocking and got my info and I was being courteous because I know door knocking takes a lot of effort. He then asked if I could get my debit info to save me a spot. I asked why I need to give that info and if my card would be charged. He replied that no charges would be made but it is required or I wouldn't be able to be serviced. I foolishly agreed that it would be okay as long as no charges were made. I then specified for them to call before servicing my address so I could think on it. He said it would be fine but then I spoke to a manager about the charge and they said that they had no notes on my specification. They refused to refund me and said they had my signature on a signed agreement that nullifies my ability to receive a refund. I never signed anything and I believe the representative electronically signed my signature without my knowing. Beware this company's tactics. read more

I've been using this company for pest control for multiple years. Generally pretty good. This year I decided to add mosquito control to my services--an extra $60 per month. However this service didn't do anything whatsoever. I continue to have swarms of mosquitos in my backyard making it essentially impossible to spend any time there. I tried calling, voicemail and emailing customer service with literally no response. I will be cancelling all service with this company. I paid for 4 months of mosquito service which did nothing about my mosquitos. That's $240 that was essentially robbed from my bank account. I do not recommend this company. read more

I honestly can not stress enough that you should go with another service provider. When you sign onto their plan, there is a long list of promises that are made, and they charge you a very hefty start up fee. However, even that first service the tech showed up not even knowing what he was expected to do. He sprayed around the outside. None of the other things were done. I had also paid an extra $45 for a specialized mosquito treatment which also wasn't done. When I asked him if he was going to be doing the other things- he said he had no idea he was supposed to be doing them and that he Would let his office know and they would reschedule him to come out and finish the job. However, that never happened. I called the office to ask when that would be done and they had no idea it wasn't apparently. And then another tech came out again, but same thing. The tech didn't do anything. Just dropped some granular around my house for mosquito prevention and said he didn't know he was supposed to do anything else. Again, he said he would have the office call to reschedule. Didn't happen again. also, when they charge my account and say they are coming out for regular pest control services, no one ever shows up. so I am paying for a service that isn't being completed. when I tried to get out of the contract because I was so disappointed with my service, they wouldn't let me. They said it ended in April and they would cancel my account at that time and not continue to charge me. However, it is June now and they are still charging my account - even though the manager himself said they would cancel my account in April. So what gives?? im Not sure how it is legal to charge people for services you aren't completing. And then continuing to charge after you said you would cancel the account after the initial contract. If I could give them zero stars I would. i Don't know if this is just an issue with the individuals servicing Gastonia, but I highly recommend you avoid doing business with them. read more

Update! Aruza Refunded all of my money and released me from my contract. The owner called and explained the circumstances that are going on currently within their company. He even sent me flowers. He was very nice but, I do have a sour taste in my mouth form the whole experience. I have no problem with the service they perform and all of the people that came out to my house were pleasant and professional. It is the call center and the follow through that gave me issue. Nicole was horrible. She had no empathy for my situation whatsoever and did nothing but make me feel even more aggravated about them. I switched to Aruza last month. This Tuesday would have been my second appointment for both pest control and mosquito. I called in between because there was far more bugs than usual. They assured me this was normal. On Tuesday at 5:20 I called to ask if they were still coming because no one had actually been there. They assured me that I was still scheduled and that in the summer months they work until 7. No one showed. I called back the next day to ask about it. I was told that someone had been at my house yesterday at 8:00 and spoke to me and I wanted to reschedule. This was not the case and I told them as much. They told me a manager would be calling me back that day. No one ever called. I called back the next day and the girl I spoke to this time was at least apologetic. She rescheduled the appointment for Friday and told me the manager would call me that day. No one called. The gentleman came to perform the treatment this morning and I discussed with him and he was apologetic. The manager was still supposed to call. He has not . I just called them at 3:15 because I have still not heard from him and spoke to not one but two people who were not apologetic at all. I completely regret switching from Moxie at this point and will switch back at the first possible instance I can. read more

After the contract expired I tried to cancel but owner/manager tells me I have to let him know 1 month in advance saying they need to buy the materials ahead of time. Which doesn't make any sense. It's not like they have to buy 1,000 gallons of pesticide for my house. Does the pesticide expire in a month? So I tell them I want to cancel and this is the last time they will come. The manager says he will "flag" my account for cancellation and in 3 months they will reach out to cancel. Luckily they didn't call back after 3 months. read more

Scam. They knock on your door an unknowingly lock you in to a one year contract. They won me over with what I thought was extra service...but it turns out it was just a sales pitch. It's not better. I have more bugs than before. They do not provide a specific time window, but rather a 3 hour window and are consistently an hour after then end of the window. Notes on the account are missed by the techs and need to be revisited every time. When I contacted to return to treat areas that were completely missed (bathroom and wasp nest that was discussed twice), they did not return. The techs are fantastic. Overworked, but all very friendly and professional. The business model is crummy...not the people. Thus the 2 stars. This is a scam. If you are not happy you cannot cancel without fees. I am very disappointed with this company who quoted me one price but was billed a different price. I left the company I was with for 5 years to give this company a try because they had a better quarterly price. I spoke to Nicole the manager and shared what we were told the quarterly price would be. She was no help and even refused to give me her last name. I can prove what I was paying for years at my other company, and would not leave them to pay more for this company that I had never heard about. And to add to that, I observed 2 or their workers cut corners and not even check the garage for unwanted pest in the traps they lay out. The salesman was great at selling but that's about it. He was a fast talker, great salesman, very good at his job FOR THE COMPANY NOT THE CONSUMER. Then the first technician arrives, to do the INITIAL MAIN SHABANG. HE SUCKED. he was at my house 25 minutes, inside and out, claimed he did EVERYTHING and was gone. I instantly wanted to cancel, but the salesman pretty much twisted my arm to allow another tech come out. THATS when they sent the pro, was here for over an hour, doing the actual job. BUT, a couple days later, I received texts and emails stating YOU WILL NO LONGER HAVE CONTACT WITH YOUR LOCAL OFFICE. ok that's odd, so I try to use the 24 HOUR, CUSTOMER SERVICE CHAT, wellllll that was a joke, because it doesn't work. the. I try and email, and of course a generic respons. so I try and email again and again and again, explain the issues I'm having doing business with a company that now to me seems a little sketchy especially since I CANT access my account online, it doesn't recognize me, that's when I get an email response. it says explain your issue, we have been trying to reach you by phone. excuse me? I've emailed countless times, sent messages to several people in the company, and NO CALLS TO ME WERE MADE. We just purchased a new home and after a few weeks there, we were overrun with fleas in the garage. Maybe they came with the new sod or pine straw? We tried several DIY treatments (sprays, DE, multiple bombs) and nothing worked. I had seen the Aruza trucks in the neighborhood, so looked them up. Found their solid 5 star reviews here and gave them a call. Both Jordan and Solomon were at our house later that evening. The first treatment definitely slowed the fleas down but the followup a few days later seems to have resolved the issue completely. So happy to be able to walk through the garage without getting 10-20 fleas on me! We are 100% happy with the service we received and both Solomon and Jordan couldn't be nicer guys. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their business and the services they provide and are very customer service oriented. I highly recommend them! read more

These guys have been canvasing the area multiple times going door to door, ignoring community no solicitation and individual no solicitation signs. They are overly aggressive and will say anything to try and make a sale. They ignore you when you ask them to leave. Finally had to just close the door in their face. Had two of them knock on my door in a 3 day period. Both said they were in the area servicing my neighbors house but they had no service van and were naming names that do not even live in the neighborhood. Maybe they should realize we are in the middle of a pandemic and going door to door is not a good idea. Wanted to like these guys. Started off well with initial treatments but when we got ants in early August they have been ineffective. Two techs were polite and professional but in the end still didn't get job done. However, two were over an hour late twice with no call, and those that do show up don't know what has previously been done, unprepared to do what I had been told would be done, tracked horrible mud throught the house, and smelled like an ashtray. Customer service is nonexistent when you call in. Do not follow up when say they will. I feel it has grown faster than they can keep up with. It has been a solid month, still have ants. Have asked to speak to owner/manager for a week with no response.. ETA: Owner, followed up. Was very professional, accepted responsibility, refunded my $. They have grown faster than can keep up with over last few months. Hopefully they will figure it out soon. read more

Called these people for a one time preventive treatment, spray and termite inspection, bait box service and they turned me down flat! I understand the bulk of their revenue comes from service plans, but to turn down business especially in this time of the virus is unabashedly arrogant and short sighted!! Basically, no, I'm not interested in $100-150 or so to come out to your home. I'll only come if I can bilk u for hundreds of dollars for services u don't really need right now. Who knows, I might b so impressed with my 1- time visit that I might sign up for a plan later, or I might refer friends and family to this company or write them a 5 star review. Swept off any spider webs and wasp nest out of the eaves. We also had them treat our entire yard (almost an acre) for bugs and bait fire ant mounds. read more

Signed up for pest control with great hopes of getting ants out of our yard. The representative assured me that the ants would be gone, but this has not happened at all. We also have wasps making homes in the entryways, and the technician told me he specifically treated these areas. I am not happy with the results. I called customer service- waited for 23 minutes before speaking with someone who wanted to charge me $175 more to cancel my service (that didn't work in the first place).
