Absolute Perfection! I live on the East Coast, so finding someone to cater my son's rehearsal dinner on the West Coast for a holiday weekend was a daunting challenge. Rachel was awesome, helping me choose what foods to be served for brunch, and she was very patient with all my questions and concerns. On the day of the event, her staff arrived on time and quickly and efficiently set everything up in my garden - the presentation was beautiful. Most important of all....the food was DELICIOUS! I found As You Like It on Thumbtack and I am so happy I chose them for my event. Rachel was helpful and punctual with responses every step of the way. I wanted to keep the cost down and she worked with me on that. I let her know that I did not need servers for the food at my event (it is an extra charge), she did not charge me for the servers but they stayed anyway. I was a little perturbed by this at first but the server Nancy was wonderful and so kind. I had made a cheese board and she stood beside it making sure flies were off of it and letting my guests know the different cheeses. The food was great and the chef herself was there. At the end they helped me package up left over food and store it in my fridge. I highly recommend this company. On time, polite and efficient. read more

All of our wedding guests were absolutely amazed by the food! My favorite was the chicken limone and butternut squash ravioli. Excellent food and service! I hired As You Like It Catering for a reception after the funeral of a dear friend. I wanted to be sure that the family did not have to worry about hosting 50+ people after the services. I simply got lucky with a google search for a caterer in the area. Phyllis was very helpful recommending a menu for the event, and was very clear and concise helping me make decisions. She was easy to communicate with and made it very stress-less. After the funeral services we arrived to the home with everything setup, and staff ready to serve drinks and food to everyone. Although we had to wing it a bit at the beginning as everyone was at the services prior, they stepped up and made sure everything was setup and everyone was happy. As You Like It catered our wedding in May 2009 - in fact it's the 4th picture the "Citrus Themed Wedding." I think it all started with some of the friendliest email correspondence. Everyone we spoke to was very friendly, and extremely accommodating. The tasting was phenomenal, and we were really pleased with all of the options. Ultimately, we chose As You Like It because they are affordable and the food is delicious. This company will really work with you and your budget. Chef Phyllis designed the perfect menu for our small wedding (115 guests), and I loved the orange and white linens they provided, as well as the buffet servers. We hired the company "As You Like It" for my 60th birthday party this past Saturday night. We selected 3 delicious appetizers which were served by Ivan and Jack. The menu we chose for our dinner was a pasta station with vodka sauce herb chicken and Caesar salad with bread. The food was absolutely delicious! The service far exceeded our expectations. They even attended to the needs of cutting my custom birthday cake and serving it to our 40 Guests. Before they left, they cleaned up and removed all trash and left our home in superior shape. No water at the table after we spoke about it is unacceptable. No servers were offering water from pitcher and you didn't have your staff offer the sparkling water I brought in. I'm a wee behind posting my review. I got married last October 14th,2017. As You Like It was our caterer. Working with both Phyliss and Rachel was so easy. When it came to scheduling our first meeting they were very flexible with our schedules. We had our tasting at The Temeku Hills Ballroom. Their chef Shawn was there to present the food to us. He made changes to our menu to accommodate my husbands taste. It was very nice that they had set up a mock table so I had a better idea of how it was going to look. They stayed in constant communication with me all the way up to our wedding day. I've been to many business events, holiday parties, and Veterans Dinner where they have catered and the food was always delicious .So when it came time for my wedding I knew there was nothing to worry about. I had to plan the event long distance from Virginia and Rachel was extremely helpful in answering questions and guiding me in food, decorating, floor plan and agenda decisions. When they heard that the theme of the event was tropical, they went out of their way to being in extra decorating touches such as orchids and tropical wooden fish and made the linens at the food stations tropical colors. It really added to the experience and was much appreciated. We spent nearly a year trying to put together a menu that consisted of dishes from our cultures (Vietnamese and Filipino), and Rachel was so patient with us as we were extremely indecisive . Phyllis, the chef for our wedding tried out different recipes for us to try within the year. She even visited our favorite restaurants to replicate flavors and textures that we loved most in our selected items: nem nuong spring rolls, lumpia, shaken beef, banh hoi, and Ginataang gulay. During these difficult times, they are charging $295 dollars for a "tasting". I was calling for my parents for their anniversary event. For my wedding, we tried almost 5 to 6 different restaurant & we paid NOTHING. THEY were upscale places to. There is NO reason why they are charging $300. What if u don't like the food? Your $300 is WASTED!! You don't get to taste what YoU want to taste but what THEY would like for you to try, that SUCKS. You are almost FORCED into going with there company @ $300!!! As You Like It, catered my 50th wedding anniversary 10 years ago at a venue. The food and service was so amazing that we decided to have them cater our 60th wedding anniversary November 9th at our home. They brought several selections for a tasting about a month before the event. It all was so amazing that choosing was really hard. Phyllis and Rachel along with Cris are so helpful. The day of the event they were here early and set up. I was so busy with my guest I didn't have time to take pictures. The food and service was again excellent, I did not have to worry about or do anything. I was able to enjoy my guest. So many have commented on how great the food was and have continued to tell me how great it was. I am already looking forward to my next party and As You Like It as the caterers.
