I have been here numerous amounts of times and every single time I have gone the food has tasted better and better. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. You also get complementary chips and salsa as you wait for your food. Service is always A1. The staff are always helpful and are ready to give suggestions on what it is you may want to order. So when I saw the website said "home best skirt steak in NWI" I had to come in and see and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! The steak was seasoned perfectly and cooked at my requested temperature!!! The chips are made in house and the salsa, soooo good! And look at the plate, they made a flower using a chili pepper!!! The restaurant is big enough to host large parties and beautiful with TVs, tuned to sports. Met some friends for dinner on a Friday. It was my first time here. It was pretty lively, but not packed. We had a reservation and got seated right away. Our sever was great and very welcoming. We all had margaritas and they were really good and really strong, which my friends had earned me about. I had the sopes and they were good. I was so tempted to get my steak tostadas but I decided to try the La Ranchera Suiza and WOW! My mouth is watering writing this review from how good it is! The skirt steak was delicious and putting a little bit of everything in a corn tortilla was perfection. Everything on the platter went together and just tasted so good. And of course, cheese tastes good on almost everything haha. If you haven't ordered their skirt steak entrees, you must!!! I love my tostadas so much but this dish stole my heart. And Asada always gives super generous portions, so I was extremely full after this haha. Service wise wasn't as great as the last few times as we were in an odd corner where we were kind of forgotten. Good job Asada. I moved from Phoenix 3 years ago and Southwest Mexican food is in my opinion the best Mexican food. This was my first visit and I had the chicken flauta's. They are a good size, hand rolled and made with real shredded chicken. They are fried to a perfect crisp. My meal came with a dollop of guacamole sour cream shredded lettuce with cilantro and a side of rice and beans. Handmade guacamole with chunks of avocado. Delicious! The salsa has just the right amount of kick and flavor. My flauta's came out hot and fresh with cojito cheese sprinkled on top. Great presentation as well. Kudos Asada! read more

The owner had a cocky pompous attitude. I've patronized this establishment for years. I have recommended Asada's to family, friends & colleagues. My niece & I ordered steak nachos. We asked for skirt steak as a substitution. This was not the first time. The skirt steak was chopped into small piece & only on half of the nachos. I asked, what I thought was management to not cut the strips into cubes. I was told that I would have to pay $38 for it because of the type of steak. I said, we've had it before & the appetizer wasn't $38. He went back and forth with me & then made mention that he was the owner. Wow! I then told him that I didn't want to go back & forth. I suggested to him that I could just go elsewhere. He then said to me, "go ahead". We paid for our over blended pina colada's & left. I will never patronize this establishment again. Ok ... here we go with my review. First impression when I walked into the restaurant was "wow" this is very nice ... and look at that massive tequila bar... lol. Really this is what I said. Was not expecting it to be this nice. We were seated right away (party of 2) and after that great entry we were seated towards the booths in the back which were all very nice with the exception of mine. U fortunately, the booth they say is at had some what looked like a little kid took a pink marker and went to town on the fabric backing of the booth which I gave a pass to because the literally could have been done with the guests who sat there before us. But I will say that they should take care of that ASAP as it is horrible and leaves a very bad first impression. With that said, don't get discouraged because it is a very nicely decorated restaurant. So now for the food... it definitely did not disappoint. I had the shrimp fajitas and he had the Riviera Maya Rib Eye (lomo) ordered medium. My fajitas came out piping hot. I was actually afraid that all the sizzling splatter would get on my outfit but thankfully it didn't. His rib eye looked amazing and juicy. Now for the taste... wow. they get a resounding YAS! From the both of us. Great flavoring.. juicy steak although for medium was a bit overcooked but still excellent. There was quite a wait for the food to come out but we're in conversation so we didn't mind it. And the food came nice and hot so I didn't mind the wait. The feet options were excellent and while I am done reviewing for now haven't made it to desert yet. Ok back to review my desert. We shared custard filled churros and they did not disappoint. Yummie. Only thing missing was a side of ice cream which we did not order since we were so full. We ate one each and took the rest to go which will be devoured with my favorite coffee at home. All in all this place is worth the drive. For me it's definitely a do over! We will be back. The service was good, and food came out quick. The steak tacos were seasoned good, but really lacked the authentic Mexican seasoning taste, the steak tasted more like tex Mex and not authentic Mexican food. The horchata was also on point not too sweet just right. The chicken Tamale was really dry and super spicy, I would not get that again. Next the tres leches was super good, but I did nit like the actual texture of that cake it's self, it's was kind of grainy. We really liked the interior and the feel of the place (I remember it from many years ago as a different business). The menu was extensive and offered cuisine not found in similar Mexican establishments. I went with the shrimp, which was tasty and met my expectations. The food was amazing. The steak options were so tender and flavorful. I'd definitely recommend the ribeye! I love tacos al pastor, so I have to admit I was a bit disappointed with my meal. They were excellent tacos but not what I was hoping for in al pastor. One thing to note- make sure you read the menu. The first order of chips and salsa are on the house, but the second will cost you $2. I was very disappointed with my enchilada dinner. This has always been my go to at Asada. In the past these enchiladas were the closest to my mom's. We definitely take good Mexican quizzing serious as we have hail from the West Coast. The chips and salsa that came complimentary were very good. I got a Margarita which was very disappointing so I would stick away from the margarita's address restaurant and maybe stick to either at a wine are a hard beverage. Meh. It was alright, but I probably won't return. I stopped in one afternoon with my family while my dog was being treated at a nearby veterinarian. I'd looked at the menu the night before and thought the menu looked promising. We arrived around 12:30 to a packed restaurant. There was a large party that took up a huge section of the restaurant. We were seated near them and our waitress was tasked with serving us and the large party. She was pleasant and efficient though. The restaurant has nice decor and a warm ambiance. The bathrooms were very clean as well. I ordered the carne asada, my sister had the tostadas and my mom ordered tacos. All the meals were served rice and beans. The chips and salsa was pretty good, but overall the food was much too salty. The refried beans were especially salty. The carne asada and beef in the tacos/tostadas was bland. The food was edible but we weren't overly impressed. The restaurant definitely had a chain restaurant feel (Americanized) vs an authentic family owned restaurant spot. We left wishing we'd made another restaurant choice given the plethora of options in the immediate vicinity. The experience wasn't terrible. First timer here. The social distance practices were great. Staff were wearing masks, seats were spaced out enough. I definitely felt safe. We ordered margaritas to start, one frozen and one on the rocks and it came soooooo fast. A little too fast in my opinion so I had a feeling it was premade, which after tasting it I could determine it was. So the drink wasn't as strong or mixed as nicely as others I have had before. For the food, we had queso fundido with chorizo on the side and it was great. I've tried many a queso fundido and I would say this is top 3 on my list. For dinner I had al pastor tacos with all the toppings and my friend had shrimp tacos. Both were really good. I couldn't complain about the food at all.
