Giving the benefit of the doubt we've returned a few times in the three months since and sadly found the foods remaining at the level we do not enjoy. I ordered the Vegetarian combination with 3 items which was listed as $11.99. I got the soft veggie taco, the veggie sope, and the vegan bean and cheese tamale, which I didn't realize was $.50 more because it was vegan (this is stated on the menu but it is in small print and it didn't compute that I was going to be charged extra for on of the choices in the combo). First, my pet peeve is food that is not served hot. The rice and beans were lukewarm and extremely bland. The vegan tamale had obviously been sitting somewhere for a CNN and then microwaved- it hadn't seen steam for quite a while. It was completely dry and no cheese was particularly visible let alone tasted. The end of it was crusty and tough. The color was an unappetizing brown unlike any masa I have ever seen. It was hot in some spots and barely warm in others. I've had lot of tamales and nothing ever like this! The sope, also one of my favorite dishes looked pretty good and was reasonably hot. Unfortunately it was also impossible to cut and equally impossible to eat by hand. It is a very shallow sope; the rim was reasonably soft in some areas, but the bottom was literally like cardboard. I've never had a sope like this - I expect, as with the tamale, a masa cup that is look tender and easy to cut with a fork. This was also not remotely a fresh sope but clearly reheated so dried out on the bottom. The best thing on the plate was the veggie taco in a soft flour tortilla which was at least warm and well filled. Because the tamale was so dry I asked for some sour cream - a common thing in most Mexican restaurants that usually comes on the plate. Imagine my surprise when I got charged .99 for a "side" of sour cream that came in a small paper container the same size you find in many restaurants at the catsup and mustard bar. Yup, also on the menu under "Sides". So my $11.99 lunch turned out to be $13.48 before tax. That might not seem like much to most people but I tried this restaurant especially because the combo seemed like a reasonable deal and going out is rare for me because I'm on a fixed income. In all fairness, a woman at the table in front of me was having fish and shrimp tacos which she really liked. So maybe the veggie menu is not the way to go because it's obvious that my items were neither fresh nor made with any care at all. Needless to say I won't be going back to be overcharged for subpar food. read more

This place is disgusting and expensive. 2.79 for a soft drink. I had a burrito. The cheese was like water. The steak had no flavor. The rice tasted burnt. The waitress did not come back to the table until right before we left. I could not send the garbage back do to no service. The waitress all sat at a table and talked. It was a Saturday night around 9pm. The place was deserted and I can see why. Another thing that bothered me was the one waitress and cook were kissing and rubbing on each other in front of children. We have been long time customers of LaQuesadilla and would normally dine in. Always HAD great service and did a wonderful job getting my family's complicated orders right! Never had issues with service or food, but no these COVID restrictions seem to be hitting them hard. We have ordered several times, for carry out obviously, and EVERY order has had issues. First time I only got half my order, called to inquire and was left on hold for 23 minutes, long enough to drive back to the restaurant and show them that I'm still on the line, just to have the lady kinda running the place tell me, " you hung up", even though they still had an open line with me as I stood in front of them. Second time they tried giving me someone else's order, until I repeatedly questioned the size of the order, then my margarita that I ordered was only filled 3/4 of the way. Next time I almost got shorted my hot sauce and a burrito, which I asked if I had, was told yes, then checked my bag to find it was missing. And finally AGAIN, yesterday, I asked when I paid for my order, "did u put hot and mild sauce in the bag", I was told "yes! You have both", I made the mistake of not checking, and again I get hone and NOT ONE sauce in my bags,, $80 order I might add. Lone the food but the current staff is rude, and when you question them about your order, they act like you are inconveniencing them. Kinda getting DONE with this place. After visiting my grandmother who just relocated to Indiana my sister and I were in search for a Mexican restaurant . La Quesadilla popped up and it was less than five minutes away. Hooray! When we walked in we weren't quite sure if it was tableservice or if you order at the register and considering they have a drive-through I figured we went and ordered our own food but they did have tableservice which we were told by the nice young lady at the register. In the beginning there was a little confusion about who was waiting on us and we had to wait a few extra moments for someone to take our order, in the meantime we met the owner Maria who was a sweetheart! She wanted to make sure all of her guests were taken care of and happy. I had the carne asada which was served with a bunch of cooked onions on top( yum) and a cheese enchilada , that cheese enchilada was the best I ever had! Steak was delicious too! My sis had The steak chicken and chorizo fajitas, two days later and she still talking about how good the chorizo was. there was so much we could've shared it. She also did not want any rice or beans so they offered her an avocado salad, how nice was that!! The young man who waited on us was super nice and very attentive, sorry I didn't catch his name. I can't wait to go back and next time I will be trying the watermelon margarita. Food can be more updated but the service was great. This location offers drive thru service which is a Plus. Near to Strack N Van til grocery store strip mall. Next to a beauty tanning place.
