I ate here earlier this year with a friend during the soft opening when the sign said "Los…read moreHermanos". Had a chicken mole dish with a margarita. The margarita tasted like soapwater and the mole dish barely had any mole on it. We both left disappointed. Now the sign has been replaced with "Main Street Bistro" so we decided to try this place again. We did not have margaritas, but settled with water. I had a chicken remix burrito and my friend had a quesadilla with beef consume. The paper menu was hard to read with the green print on white background. Mike was our server. He was friendly enough but not very attentive. He seemed busy with other things. We had to ask for more water. My burrito was a small burrito served with just a small slice of lime. It looked so barren on the plate. It was tasty enough, though. Luckily I wasn't too hungry as I had lunch today at 9am and it was now 5pm. My friend enjoyed her quesadilla. The place was empty. We were the only two people in the restaurant. There was a private party in the back with the fireplace but no other customers. We had to put up with the same dance music playing in the background. The music was either for the owner, or for the people in the private room. There are plenty of vegan dishes on the menu, so for a vegan, this may be a nice place to dine, but we left a little unimpressed. Mike seems to be doing all the cooking himself with no additional help.

Getting shown the mushrooms you're gonna be eating? For well under $100 total?? Mike, the owner/chef/server is extraordinary. His dishes, totally inspired. I work in the service industry. He made dinner an absolute "moment" and I think that's hard to achieve these days. Unbelievable, you cannot leave this off of your itinerary. You have to try it out before he blows up and there's a huge line out the door. We will never forget about the pumpkin curry bowl, pesto pasta, or ramen birria. HIDDEN GEM WITH A GREAT MIND BEHIND IT. WE WILL BE BACK

We were recommended this place when we checked in at our hotel (ElDorado- check their review bc…read morealso was amazing). OMG! Now I'll start by saying that this is not a traditional Mexican taqueria; is more like a fusion inspired place. Our server was very nice and I'm sad I don't remember her name! She recommended the strawberry basil and the spicy pineapple margaritas. 10/10 for both. Enough alcohol and the flavor was great and not painful spicy just a good hint. We ordered the chips with the salsa sampler (guajillo, red and green) and I could have just eaten those for dinner and would have been set! I order the fish tacos and hubby order the carnitas and immediately yes! Both come w 2 tacos each ( my only complaint is I wish it was 3). Fish tacos had a decent portion of fish and the carnitas were bursting with meat. The pork reminded me of cochinita pibil as it had a hint of sweetness in the best way. Last thing- let's address the bean situation. It says on their menu that they are red beans with a Southerb style and is true and I'm here for it! As a Puerto Rican I prefer my beans to be flavorful on their own and their beans are! So if you are looking for a more refrito type mild flavor beans these are not it... but you are missing out! Will be back for sure!

I'm not sure what they do differently but they're delicious! The tacos all come in sets of 2, not mix and match. Everyone in our group got tacos and everyone was happy and agreed they were quite large and had a lot of filling. I got the Korean pork belly tacos and these were really good! That said, next time I'd try to get someone to split 2 kinds with me as 2 of the pork belly tacos was pretty heavy.

We ate here last Sunday for Huevos Rancheros which she liked. We came back again for dinner last Thursday. We had the same servers who recognize us from the Sunday before. She wanted to try the beef ribs. I had chicken enchiladas. While she praised the large portion, she also admitted the ribs were fatty. She took the leftover ribs home for a second meal. We both agreed that the homemade salsa is delicious. The chips we got were warm and crispy. My enchiladas were spiced just right. I'd have them again. Service was friendly. My friend noted that the interior of the restaurant is indeed very much like a genuine Mexican restaurant south of the border, with bold bright colors and decorative crosses on the walls.

The chips with the chips and salsa were freshly made and nice and warm. The salsa had no flavor and was just orange liquid. I ordered the carne asada steak and a cheese enchilada with green sauce. The green sauce was very good. The steak was so rubbery I couldn't even cut through it nor barely chew the one piece I actually got in my mouth. Flavorless as well. The whole steak went to waste. The beans were good, the rice way over done. My husband had the chimichanga with enchilada sauce. The chimi was overdone and had the same tough and fatty carne asada. The enchilada sauce was not good. Half of this went to waste as well. Even the margarita's were not good. So for over $50 we enjoyed the chips and green sauce. I really hate to put down a small business. We like to try new places and really help boost the local economy but this was just a money grab. Many older people were coming in as we left. Perhaps the locals can appreciate this place but we can not in good conscience let it go and not warn others. If you truly enjoy mexican food please know you have been warned.

When our family suddenly found ourselves needing catering for a Celebration of Life with only a few…read moredays' notice, Danielle and the entire team at Sonora Mia Restaurante came through for us in a way we will never forget. I reached out on Friday hoping to find catering for a gathering on Monday morning that was set as just a graveside service in Tubac. With such short notice and so many unknowns, like the location we were still working on securing, I wasn't sure what would even be possible. Danielle immediately put me at ease. She was accommodating, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with during a stressful time. One of the biggest challenges was estimating attendance. This is a large, multi-generational family with deep roots in Southern Arizona, but because the burial was planned on such short notice and scheduled for a Monday morning, we knew attendance would be difficult to predict. Danielle allowed us the flexibility to adjust our estimated headcount and add additional servings to ensure we had enough food for everyone who attended. What impressed me most was the dedication of her team. They were up at 5:00 a.m. preparing fresh food the morning of the event and arrived with plenty of time to get everything set up before guests arrived. Their professionalism allowed family and friends to focus on gathering, visiting, and remembering our loved one rather than worrying about logistics. The food was outstanding. We chose three different meat selections for tacos, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and exactly the authentic Sonoran-style Mexican food my husband's family has known and loved for generations. They even brought a hot plate to keep the tortillas warm and fresh throughout service. The biggest surprise hit of the day was the Watermelon Agua Fresca. It was made fresh that morning and was absolutely perfect for a warm Southern Arizona day--refreshing, light, and not overly sweet. The fresh limeade was equally delicious and a favorite among our guests and so were the homemade Churro's and cake pops. The team handled everything. They brought their own serving tables, serving utensils, chafing dishes, and equipment. They kept the line moving efficiently, served guests with kindness, and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Best of all, we had plenty of food. Nothing creates more stress when hosting a large gathering than worrying about running out, and thanks to Danielle's guidance and preparation, that was never a concern. In a small town like Tubac, businesses often become part of the community fabric. Danielle and her team exemplify exactly what that means. They stepped up on incredibly short notice, adjusted their schedules, and helped our family create a meaningful gathering to celebrate the life of JJ Gastelum. We are deeply grateful for their professionalism, flexibility, kindness, and outstanding food. If you're looking for authentic Sonoran cuisine, reliable catering, and a team that genuinely cares about their customers, I cannot recommend Sonora Mia Restaurante or the Saint Ann's Community Hall highly enough.
