A friend of mine is here in the area for another month and wanted to try some local fare. This was one of my recommendations. We ate here last Sunday for Huevos Rancheros which she liked. We came back again for dinner last Thursday. We had the same servers who recognize us from the Sunday before. She wanted to try the beef ribs. I had chicken enchiladas. While she praised the large portion, she also admitted the ribs were fatty. She took the leftover ribs home for a second meal. We both agreed that the homemade salsa is delicious. The chips we got were warm and crispy. My enchiladas were spiced just right. I'd have them again. Service was friendly. My friend noted that the interior of the restaurant is indeed very much like a genuine Mexican restaurant south of the border, with bold bright colors and decorative crosses on the walls. read more

Where to start. The wait staff was very pleasant and attentive. The food, well, some of the worst food my husband and I have ever had. The chips with the chips and salsa were freshly made and nice and warm. The salsa had no flavor and was just orange liquid. I ordered the carne asada steak and a cheese enchilada with green sauce. The green sauce was very good. The steak was so rubbery I couldn't even cut through it nor barely chew the one piece I actually got in my mouth. Flavorless as well. The whole steak went to waste. The beans were good, the rice way over done. My husband had the chimichanga with enchilada sauce. The chimi was overdone and had the same tough and fatty carne asada. The enchilada sauce was not good. Half of this went to waste as well. Even the margarita's were not good. So for over $50 we enjoyed the chips and green sauce. I really hate to put down a small business. We like to try new places and really help boost the local economy but this was just a money grab. Many older people were coming in as we left. Perhaps the locals can appreciate this place but we can not in good conscience let it go and not warn others. If you truly enjoy mexican food please know you have been warned. read more

I love supporting small locally own businesses and had been to most in Sierra Vista, so I decided to take a short road trip and try this place out in Bisbee. The place has a local dive kind of feel with plastic tables and chairs that you can find at Costco. The staff was very friendly and seated me right away. I was quickly brought my drink and chips and salsa. It was Thursday night so the had their ribs available and decided to try them. Usually I prefer my ribs smoked but these were still pretty tasty. The homemade BBQ sauce is what made these ribs special. The bowl of beans was fantastic. I thought the coleslaw was a little bit soggy for my taste. read more

Food is nasty never had a worst chimichanga at a Mexican restaurant. The food was greasy nasty and dry on the meat had nothing in it. We were supposed to get extra cheese and didn't have that had no toppings on it so we ordered the guacamole which charged us extra the lettuce that they throw on top of it was old brown bag, lettuce the meat was so greasy and nasty. You couldn't eat. It took two bites and set it down starting to exchange it but then the owner what I assumed to be the owner said, said that it all had the same meat no matter what we ordered so we changed her mind and said forget it. We're out of here pay the $30 bill for a couple margaritas extra bowl of chips cause they only give you one so they charge us for the second one and they charged me for a side of guacamole that didn't come with the meal. The audience was very old and nasty. I would not suggest this at all how they got that rating on yelp I never understand read more

The Carne Asada and the salsa were delicious. The staff tried to make up for the smoke filled restaurant and the very slow drinks and food service. I need a shower and to wash my clothes. My poor asthmatic friend had to wait outside. read more

it's an interesting building, obviously older but very well-maintained. The dining area self is very comfortable and nicely decorated. We've been there twice now and found that the service is wonderful The food is quite tasty, and the service is great. The prices are quite reasonable, especially when you consider the quality of the food that they serve. I've lived in southeast Arizona for over 50 years and their beans are some of the best that I've enjoyed. This evening I had the beef enchiladas with rice and beans, and enjoyed every bite. The last time that I was there I had the rib special that they feature on Thursdays. As did my wife. We were both very pleased with our meals. And we were very happy with our meals this evening. One of the best restaurant experiences in Bisbee. Great service and outstanding food.

I chose La Ramada for my December birthday, and Lorena and her staff exceeded my expectations with a perfect evening. I had the entire restaurant reserved for my 45 guests, and the service and food were spectacular. The decor and tables were lovely. The meal was served buffet style, and all my guests commented on how delicious every dish was. I had an open bar (and, I also hired a driver for my guests because of that), and La Ramada mixed great drinks and purchased the exact wines and spirits I requested. I and my guests thought the front house staff was so friendly and fun. When I arrived, they had already set up an area for the DJ, a table for the birthday cakes, and also cleared even more room for dancing after the meal. The kitchen and front house staff at La Ramada did a great job to create a wonderful evening for my guests and me. Husband took me there for 21st anniversary dinner. Order taken for drinks and food. After 40 minutes waitress comes to give us bill for meal. Mind you we only ordered and never got served. Called to complain (not being rude just stating facts) and all I got was "SORRY". No attempt to make it "right". I guess I am not Mexican enough, local enough or "personally known" to dine there. I realize that we should be kind to businesses during the Covid Apocalypse, but this place has worked to earn a poor review for years. The frustrating part is the food is actually pretty good... if you can actually get it. Tonight we call to order some take out food and were told they were closed even though it was slightly more than an hour earlier than their closing time posted on Facebook and listed on Google. This is not the first time I have tried to eat there and they had decided to close early. Once we were even told that it is their standard practice for the kitchen to shut down 30min before their closing time. That advice was taken into consideration when trying to order tonight but apparently an hour before closing was still too late. They also have terrible customer service in person. The last time my family actually ate in at La Ramada (before the pandemic) the server was unfriendly and inattentive despite the fact that was only one other table occupied. The server also was unaccommodating. My mother ordered an enchilada plate and asked if she could get one red and one green, which is common at many restaurants and the server said, no they don't do substitutions. It's not even a substitute, and didn't affect the price. You had a choice of red or green, so how hard is it to just pour red on one and green on the other? La Ramada is the only Mexican food restaurant I have ever seen a mix of enchilada sauce be denied. Bottom line is, the food is alright but they act like actually serving people is a huge inconvenience. Maybe they are in the wrong line of work. read more

This is one of the great local dives in Bisbee, AZ. This awesome joint has been around since the 60's. If you want authentic Mexican food, that is also made from scratch, AND at reasonable prices, then this is thee spot. I had ordered a Red Chile Chimichanga, but before that we were served chips and salsa. To my surprise, the chips were freshly made, and they didn't charge. Now I don't know about you, but, it's rare to get freshly made chips these days without paying for more than one serving. After we finished our food, we shared a dessert. I don't remember what it was called and I forgot to take a picture of it, but think of it like a homemade Churro Sundae, with a huge scoop of vanilla icecream, drizzles of butterscotch and dollops of homemade whipped cream, and homemade Churros all around...Yummy!! read more

Very nice hidden gem in bisbee its a ways away from everything in bisbee its pretty much on the naco border but its worth the trip. If you sre looking for a new spot this is it. The staff is very polite and the food is very authentic mexican,(they have sopes and milanesa thats how authentic). The margaritas are good too and they have daily specials. Definitely check it out and give them a try. read more

This has become my favorite place to dine in Bisbee. The restaurant is family owned and the staff is fantastic. They are friendly, professional and accommodating. There is definitely a lot of pride and love put into this place. The atmosphere is clean, inviting and pleasant to be in. The food is fantastic! Every time we go we try something new and not once have we been disappointed. Definitely worth waiting for Thursday to come. read more

Amy's Carne Asada Fries were fantastic and the service was great! The chips were fresh, I love that and the salsa was different but good. But the Milanesa was just OK and the Red Chile Chimichanga was nothing special. read more

I'm giving 2 stars only because the server was really nice and professional. The food started on a bad foot when they brought chips and salsa. The chips were good. The salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce? When we went to order chicken tacos, we were told they were out of chicken? Wow really? So we ordered Baja fish tacos and a combo plate. The fish tacos were so bad we had only one bite. Greasy and the fish smelled really fishy. The combo plate was average at best. We also ordered a fried ice cream and again average at best. I don't know why someone called this place a dive because I like the atmosphere, its an old ranch style house made into a restaurant, complete with a fireplace. What is divey about that? Anyway, this is the only place in town that knows how to cook beans, rancho style. Its little things that they get right that make this place awesome! Great drinks, food and real Southwestern style atmosphere. It may not be in the hipster part of town (Old Bisbee), and maybe that's why it got a couple of not so hot reviews. Its in a neighborhood that is close to the border, and all the authentic culture that comes with it. If you can't handle that, maybe you should try a vegan, gluten and taste free alternative in Old Bisbee. read more

This place is only open evenings and weekends. They have ribs, steaks, and very authentic Mexican food. Since it wasn't rib night and we don't eat steak we got Mexican. It was very good, however, the plates were not hot and therefore neither was the food. It tasted like food that had been refrigerated and microwaved. Prices very good. Will try again. read more

The food is excellent!! The ribs fall off the bone and the BBQ sauce is so good! They put a lot of care and attention in to the food they serve. Everything is fresh. The reviewer that put the fish tacos were fishy is not very smart- How are fish tacos supposed to smell/ taste?? They are outstanding- crispy on the outside and full of flavor on the inside and topping is fresh and made to order. I will be eating there frequently! read more
