This place is an oasis in a desert of mediocre restaurants. I am glad that I took the advice of the other reviewers and gave the restaurant a chance. I found the nigiri to be of good quality and at an extremely affordable price. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is that the tuna was a little old and dry. I think 4.5 stars is a more appropriate rating. Considering that this was a Sunday night and in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma, perfectly fresh fish is probably pretty difficult to come by - probably any night of the week for that matter. If you live here, please keep them in business. I will return - well, if I'm ever in Ada again. read more

Good job, Ada! This is great sushi for a landlocked area. Great value for the price. The plating was quite nice, it is too bad the chef doesn't have live botanicals to work with, but that would probably really take the price up. The decor is a bit erratic and even distracting, but the space itself seems newly remodeled, clean and nice. Our service was also very good. The sushi here is really fresh and good looking. I love the decoration for each platter. I only got the shrimp roll sushi because it alway good that I ended up getting it all the time. If you guys love Japanese food and sushi or a mix then come to this place. This place is is really nice and uniques. Tonight, I was not impressed with the food I ordered. My boyfriend and I shared a hibachi combination for two: steak, lobster, and scallops. This was a high dollar meal, but all of the food was over cooked. We ordered the steak medium rare and it came out came out well done and extremely tough. The lobster was chewy and the scallops were too. The shrimp in the Bento box my daughter ordered was good, as usual, but when you pay $63 for a combination platter, you would expect the food to not be overcooked. We told the lady at the front about the issues, she said "that's too bad" and finished ringing in the ticket. I hope she tells the owner, who would then instruct the cooks on how to cook steak and shellfish properly. I'm not going back for a while. read more

I have had sushi from San Francisco to New York. This is a great start in a place called southern Oklahoma.

I love the food here! I could eat there 3-4 times a week! The service is great. The food is delicious. The environment is very relaxing. The establishment is very clean. the food tastes great but I don't like sushi all that much so I usually get the chicken teriyaki bowl with the crab rangoons. The rangoons are huge and so good. However, for almost 20 bucks, the two meat teriyaki bowl is NOT worth it. Getting that and the rangoons and tempura cheesecake, I paid over 30 bucks for that meal and left the place still hungry. Haven't been back since. Beautiful place but unless you like sushi, its a rip-off. read more

I usually order off the lunch menu.The food is always wonderful.Steak has always been cooked just as I've ordered.I call in and pick up. I order the Hibachi steak (rare) and vegtables. Food portion is small .Very good though.About 4 out of 5 times, I call in the people answering the phone don't understand what I'm saying. I usually have to ask the person answering the phone to please get me someone else.Who understands what I am ordering... and will repeat my order!! It's important to repeat the order!( most times they do not repeat) Both soups they offer are flavorless and the salad is just iceberg lettuce only! I wish they had a Hibachi Grill!!! I eat here often and would defiantly recommend. I hope the restaurant will stay in Ada. read more

The sushi is fantastic, and that's what I get every time I visit. I've been told other things on the menu are good as well, but I'm so excited to have sushi in Ada, so that's what I keep ordering. The takeout is very nicely boxed up, too, with plenty of wasabi and soy sauce. Definitely recommend. read more

The food here is good. Both sushi and hibachi, though not an at the table watch the chef experience it still is tasty. However the service is gruff boarding on rude. This last visit however was the end for me. I had my husband drop my daughter and myself off, he doesn't like Asahi. It was midday. We went in and the waiter came up and said " We are closing in 15 minutes, so we can only take take out orders" Apparently they close from 3-4:30 for lunch. Now I have worked in the food service industry. We were never allowed to tell customers they couldn't eat in our restaurant. And that was when we were closing the grill down for the night. Not taking an hour and a half break. We left and had to wait in the heat for my husband to get done and come back. I will wait to eat sushi at Volcano's in Moore, Yamoto in Norman, or at Sakura in Ardmore, rather than deal with servers that really don't want you there. It is far too pricey to put up with this. The food is good but not great. read more
