Good sushi, but slow service. Very slow. I think we waited 30 minutes for the sushi to come out. Tbh the sushi quality really exceeded my expectations for Jersey. The waitress did get my order wrong but it was still good.

Good sushi and easy pick up! The Valentine Roll was my favorite - but the sushi tasted fresh and delish. I also loved the fried rice

Best sushi around. I usually get take out and no matter what I order, they never disappoint. Fresh food and pleasant staff.

Asahi is a solid sushi place in the area. The prices are reasonable and the lady at the hostess stand was very friendly. The fish was very fresh and all the rolls were delicious. The Black Jack Roll was good but in my opinion the wasabi Mayo was a bit strong with the spicy Mayo on there as well. But overall great take out meal. Spider roll and Maki combo were phenomenal. The place was busy which is always a good sign and a very short distance from my house. All around good vibes at this spot!

That's my thumb. That's how much sauce I got for 50 Cents.

Saturday evening 6/4/22 I placed an order with them on Grubhub. I wouldn't consider myself a regular, but I do place a to-go order frequently. How they would know this, is that I always ask for sushi rolls to be cut into 8 pcs. (I like to share with my young niece and her mouth is small, lol) And every single time I order, I always put in instructions to skip the soy sauce, mentioning that I have plenty at home (this also includes my sis's house when I'm ordering from there). When I'm at home, I have my own chopsticks, so I tell them to skip them also. (When at sis's, we need chopsticks.) I'm trying to help small businesses to save on costs. ..... I mean why get this stuff when I already have it? There is also an option to ask for utensils and napkins, which I never, ever ask for. Now, if I add an order of dumplings, I always ask for extra gyoza sauce. I have never, ever, ever been charged for this minor addition, assuming it's because I asked them to leave out the soy sauce? or maybe not, who really knows? So now, back to my to-go order this past Saturday, 6/4/22. I ordered a few rolls and had mentioned to skip the soy sauce, that I had it at home. I asked for chopsticks for 2 people. I also placed an order of dumplings, but I forgot to ask for extra gyoza sauce. I get there to pick it up, with my usual cash tip in my pocket. I ask for the extra gyoza sauce. A young girl with an 'attitude' says to me: "you got 50 cents?"... She wasn't moving until I gave it to her. I gave her a buck, she gave me back 50 cents and THEN went to get the extra sauce. What really irked me is that she comes back with some teeny weeny holder that was less than half full of sauce. (See the pic below, my thumb is there for scale). I then THROW my 50 cents change into the tip jar. With MY attitude, I say: "Here, you go, and btw, I asked that there be NO soy sauce". I will get sushi there again, because it is really, really good, but that 50 cents is gonna cost them a whole lot more because of 'Mz Attitude'. From now on, I'm gonna let them give me all the soy sauce that needs to be with each order. I'm gonna let them give me all the chop sticks that needs to be with each order. I'm gonna also ask for napkins and utensils (an option on the Grubhub site). And, I'm never again leaving a tip for a to-go order. Really, the straw was charging me 50 cents for the size/portion of the gyoza sauce. That's what set me on fire. (see the pic below)

Loved this place!!! It's getting 4 stars bc of the price, $35 for three rolls, Alittle on the pricey side but it was absolute delicious. I probably would buy again (: very convenient and nice to buy to eat by the water

Chesapeake roll, P&P beach, and Chirishi's fire roll!

Randomly stopped in here one night for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. We started with two house salads ($2!). For our main course, we decided to share 3 special rolls - chorisi's fire roll, P-P beach, and Chesapeake roll. I didn't care too much for the Chesapeake, it was topped with mayo, which it did note in the description however I was expecting 'spicy' mayo. It was just regular mayo - yuck! The Chorisi's fire was my favorite and I would definitely order again. Overall the sushi tasted fresh and the prices were fair. 3 stars!

Good spot for reliable sushi in the area. Reliable and consistent takeout. Not sure how it is to dine in but I'd imagine the same. If you're looking for reliable sushi this is a good spot.

Soooo good.

Not bad for takeout but getting run down for dinner. There are nicer places to go for sushi or hibachi around locally.

We were seated in the covered front deck area which was separated from the interior restaurant. It was an 80-85° day but the temperature in the space was relatively comfortable. We had grabbed a few bottles of white from the conveniently located liquor store across the street. I love me a good BYOB establishment. We started with the tuna pizza, an order of oysters, garlic shrimp, beet salad, and the Bibb salad. (Just a side note, they want you to place your starters and entrees at the same time). Everything came out in a reasonable time and was all very good. The Tuna pizza was not at all what I was envisioning but was a pleasant surprise both presentation and taste wise. The shrimp were interesting because they looked like they would be super flavorful, but just felt kind of flat. Both of the salads were delicious, I really enjoyed the Bibb and would highly recommend it. I had the Bluefin and it was really good, the portion size was fair and the fish was extremely fresh. It was far from the best bluefin I've had, but would recommend it nonetheless. Everyone else enjoyed their entrees as well and overall I would say we had a great time. It was a bit pricey, but it's Spring Lake so that was baked into the cake. Will visit again, and this time I'll remember to order the lobster roll.

They use olive oil over seed oils for example, and ingredients that actually make you feel good after you eat. We started off with the raw bar--fresh clams that tasted like the ocean in the best way. Then we had to try the famous tuna pizza, and wow! I get the hype now. It was the perfect combo of crunchy, creamy, and salty and I'll be dreaming about it for days to come! The garlic shrimp was delicious and had a savory juice, something you'd find in a Spanish tapas restaurant which was perfect for bread dipping. The spaghetti with clams was a classic but elevated dish and came with a generous portion. We tried the ahi tuna lo mein from their specials and that was a fun addition. It doesn't taste greasy so don't expect takeout quality. Their sushi was seriously impressive and some of the best I've had in NJ. We got the kamikaze roll, ninja roll, and chef's nigiri. Totally fresh and easy to eat. Even the mocktails were next level. We tried the Heat Wave and Chicha Sour. Both so unique and had us feeling refreshed after, not sluggish. Of course we ended with dessert. The banana bread pudding made in-house was a huge treat. So delectable and moist. The lemon sorbet was a great way to cleanse our palate and was very refreshing. This place is where high-quality meets creative! Even the ambiance reflects their sustainable beliefs. They have a beautiful coastal inspired design in a minimalist way, using lots of natural textures in the designs. The service was fantastic and attentive. I will be recommending this to all my family and friends!

There is a to go area, bathroom, and then indoor seating area. They have merchandise behind the register. Started with the tuna nachos and crab rangoon mozzarella sticks. Tuna was good quality and had a good coating of sesame seeds. My perfect bite was tuna, orange sauce, seaweed, tomato, & onion. The chips were perfectly crispy. The crab rangoon was surprisingly good. This appetizer is what made me pick this place. Such a good combination. Didn't need the marinera sauce. Next up soups. Lobster bisque was ok. I guess I was expecting it to be a little more rich. But it was good, it tasted exactly like lobster and I got good chunks in the soup too. Now the shrimp and corn chowder was super flavorful. Favorite dish of the meal. For mains, cold lobster roll and two tails w butter and side salad. Side salad was well dressed and I appreciate the ribbons of Parmesan. The lobster was mostly cooked right. There was one that was a bit chewy. Added salt and butter but felt like something was missing still. I couldn't find a good combo of toppings to go with the lobster. The cold lobster roll was alright. The potato bread added a good sweet flavor that complimented the lobster. Overall a decent meal.

It's a great local spot with delicious food at good prices. If you're looking for fast service that still has quality meals, this is a good place to go. When you order, there are specials at the counter to check out. The most popular dish (that I've noticed over the years) is the Hawaii 5-0 with either grilled or crispy chicken. When I went the other day, everyone in my family decided to try something new--the Sushi Tuna Wrap. Wait time was 20 minutes and there are TVs around to kill time as you wait. You can also self-serve your own fountain drinks at this time. We were nervous that there wouldn't be much tuna but were pleasantly surprised when each wrap had a good ratio of tuna to other ingredients. Each wrap was also consistent--one didn't look better or have more or less tuna than the other. Every meal comes with chips and salsa which always add a nice touch. We started with the bread, a focaccia, which was served with an olive oil that had a large roasted garlic in it. It was a delicious starter, and complimented our Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was 'different' - aren't they all? I've been experiencing very different types - the one tonight had a subtle dressing - with a subdued sweetness. The grated Parmesan and Breadcrumbs smothered the salad - when you see the picture, you'll understand. It was a good salad, however I would have preferred less grating and more dressing. Next up, the Waygu Meatballs, in a delicious San Marzano tomato sauce. The meatballs were excellent. I was mystified by the accompanying 'jar' of 'basil' ricotta. See attached picture-it's a large amount of ricotta - I tasted it - it was very creamy but the basil was faintly noticeable. I added a little to a meatball and it didn't enhance the 'bite' at all. I was embarrassed leaving this large jar of cheese. We shared the two entrees - the first, Sea Bass on a bed of mashed potatoes was cooked perfectly and had the most delicate taste. It was 'too delicate', if there is such a thing as- for they say, ' good fish, doesn't taste like fish '. However, the fish needed seasoning or sauce - one or the other, or both. The next entree was the mushroom house made ravioli - a tender pasta with a mushroom filling covered in a creamy, earthy mushroom sauce. We also ordered a side of sautéed wild mushrooms and added those to the ravioli - it was a wonderful dish.
