The job ended up being more than estimated bc he found a second septic tank that none of us knew about, so I was ok with the increase. After he completed the job, I got a phone call explaining everything that was done as well as the findings & later received a report. The customer service & attention to detail was excellent. We've never owned a home with a septic system before so our knowledge was lacking. We spent 6K+ to have our system replaced, unbeknownst to us they used our existing 1987 fiberglass tank. We were never offered a replacement. The equipment was already at our home, our yard already dug up, we would've replaced it. One week after installation the pump alarm was sounding, we were told the motor was bad and we'd need to pay for a new one. Absolutely not! Five years later we start developing a large depression in our front yard, something isn't right. I place a call to this company and they aren't available for a week. I called Acme Septic out and they informed me that our fiberglass tank is absolutely crushed and needs replacing. I have no faith in these companies at this point so I talk to my neighbors and get two other companies to inspect. The verdict; the new system was installed with utilizing the old tank from 1987!!! The owner of Orlando Septic explained to me that he was trying to "save us money" by using the existing tank 5 years ago when replacing the system. He inspects the issue and sends us a quote for $8K+!!! Little did he know I already had 3 quotes from other companies my neighbors recommended. Their quotes were $3-4K less!! We're disgusted to say the least, we bust our asses to maintain our home. My husband a veteran and myself a healthcare professional. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this company!!!!

I have used Harvey Baker Plumbing for almost 20 years and have usually been very satisfied with the…read moreservice. This time was no exception given the technician, Juan, was amazing. He properly took care of an outside faucet issue that was "repaired" previously 24 months before. I noticed my outside faucet was slightly spraying water from the "repair part" recommended two years prior. In April 2024, I called Harvey Baker Plumbing to fix this faucet as it was leaking from the knob at the time. A young gentleman came and said he did not have the part on his vehicle to replace it (something to do with the pipe size), but he could "repair" it. However, I would not be able to turn the water on and off from the faucet knob. He said the nozzle at the end of the hose would serve as the on/off mechanism. When I discovered the current leak, I called and the receptionist said she could get someone out between 12-2 the next day. I explained the previous situation above and said I definitely want the faucet "replaced" this time. She looked up my previous invoice and said she would note on the ticket the faucet should be replaced rather than repaired. Next day, she called again and said she could have the technician come out earlier if I was available. I said I was and Juan came 15 minutes later, a little after 10am. He was a joy to work with, smiling and providing great conversation and expertise! I explained everything and he said he had the necessary part to rectify the leak. He did a great job. When I got the invoice, I noticed the parts only cost $33 compared to the "repair" part of $10. I was surprised the previous gentleman couldn't drive 4 miles to the office to get the necessary part and recommended the "repair" instead. I estimated I could have saved approximately $200 of labor charges had the work been properly completed the first time. I would have requested the previous technician get the necessary part had I known the difference in part costs was minimal. At least the "repair" lasted 2 years. I will probably continue to use Harvey Baker Plumbing in the future, but I'll make sure I request a more seasoned technician like Juan next time. Final note - Harvey Baker Plumbing now charges a 3% credit card fee on the invoice, which was not their practice previously. It was not a big deal to me ($7.75), and I understand a family business would prefer cash or a check. If I have a major plumbing issue in the future, at least now I am aware of the added fee.

A week later, someone came out to take a soil sample for testing, and I was told that a permit application would be submitted to the Health Department that same week. After two weeks of not hearing back (now into March), I reached out and was told everything was fine and that the application had been submitted. I followed up by text for the next two weeks and was repeatedly told the application was still being processed. When I finally called the Health Department, I was informed that no application had ever been received. Despite this, the company insisted it was in the permitting phase and even claimed they would call to try to expedite the process. A week later, when I checked with the Health Department again, I learned the application had just been received. In other words, they lied to me about submitting it and gaslit me throughout the process. By the time the project was completed, it was already April. When I asked for a discount because of the delays and dishonesty, their response was that the "paperwork issue wasn't [their] fault." I also spoke to the owner of a house two blocks down that was using this same company to replace their septic and they were having issues with communication as well. After a city worker in a city utlity truck negligently drove onto our private property and over the water main box (twice actually so it really was just reckless) he ended up severing the PVC connection from our house to the main line. The city put it on us to get that fixed (!!!) so I came to yelp and found Teles Services with glowing reviews. I called and Aresenio was out, same day within 45 min and began work to connect the water back. We had water within a few hours (even sooner) and I was pleasantly suprised how quick he had it finished. After a headache of a day, it was refreshing to have a competent person to deal with who was also genuinely sincere.
