This is because they charge interest daily on the loan balance, meaning you continue to accrue interest every day--even if you have already paid that month's payment. Their interest rates are extremely high, and the overall cost ends up being excessive. I'm relieved that I was able to pay off my loans, but the amount I paid in interest was unreasonable. I would strongly recommend avoiding doing business with this company.

What a night & day difference! The team listened carefully to the situation, was clear up front with all requirements & potential underwriting risks, and we discussed how we could mitigate. What was great was they were able to talk to underwriter and get high level alignment up front to reduce uncertainty. Once I switched over, they swiftly got to work. Early on, they proactively called me and told me when rates were decreasing, and when rates were going to increase and I should lock in. I also had access to 3 different people on the team (Tim, Jazmin, and Tina) who all played a part, and depending on what was needed, I could easily get a hold of any of them with a quick call. But more than 36 hours later, my brother has still not received the money. He visited over five Western Union locations in Ottawa, and none of them had the funds available. We are not talking about a remote village -- this is the capital city of Canada, and the amount is not even large. This is outrageous. I called Western Union's so-called "customer service," and spoke to two incompetent reps who could barely communicate and gave confusing, scripted responses. After demanding a supervisor and being on hold for 30 minutes, someone else came on -- barely more helpful -- and told me that no location in Ottawa has enough cash to complete the transfer. His "solution"? He said they would split the transfer into multiple MTCNs and that my brother would have to go around Ontario to pick up money in pieces. What kind of scam is this? This is false advertising, misleading, and outrageously irresponsible. They charge for "cash in minutes" but deliver nothing, waste my time, and put my family in distress. I then requested a refund, and the agent said it was "processed," yet I received no email confirmation, no receipt, and no guarantee. When I asked about it, he just repeated: "You're supposed to receive the email," and claimed the refund will take 5-7 business days. I have zero trust in Western Union at this point.
