ASC is my go-to for pretty much everything but oil changes. They are honest, reasonably priced and have no desire to fleece you and sell you parts you don't need or won't fix the issue. We've had a bunch of work done here and every time they are quick and efficient while also providing excellent work. Pete and all the other guys are super friendly and will answer any and all your questions. They've kept my older 2008 car running smooth, I honestly won't go to anyone else. They do get backed up because they are so busy, so keep that in mind. read more

Great customer service and work! I went in with complaint of squeaking brakes. First service (few hundred dollars), notEd a different potential brake issue, but unfortunately did not resolve the initial noise complaint. I brought it back two other times following. While this was annoying to need two additional visits to resolve the issue. Zach at the front desk was amazing to deal with reassuring me they would not stop until the issue was fixed, and assuring me the vehicle was safe driving around with my son (especially after still noticing a sound and spending a lot of money). Despite the persistent sound between visits, Zach always made me feel comforted the job would get done. He, Andy and everyone else did a wonderful job treating me and my family as a valued customer and human. Zach is great first "Face" and person to speak with. ASC is a hidden gem! read more

Yet another terrific experience. Have been going to Andy for decades, all the way from Marlboro. I don't trust the "stealerships" to do anything but an oil change and only when I have a coupon. I trust Andy. He does what is needed and is honest. I never ask for an estimate, I just tell him to fix the problem and he explains the solution in extra ordinary engineering terms. I have 3 Hondas and a Toyota now, none are money pits as was my old VW. Any time my cars need any work, I schlep all the way to ASC. The only negative I can say is that he is not closer to where I live. read more

ASC is by far the best car repair shop that I've ever worked with. The team, specifically Andy, are the most professional, honest, incredibly reliable, and and skilled individuals. ASC has worked on many of my cars and not once have I had any issue with their work. Unlike most repair shops ASC doesn't push anyone into repairs that aren't necessary. His parts prices are never inflated many time the parts are the same or less expensive than the parts online, they use oem parts when required and only top of the line oe parts like Bosch saving tons of money on parts. Their labor costs are a fraction of other local repair shops that will also inflate the parts cost. They have been 50% less expensive than other shops many times and always significantly less expensive than the dealership but providing dealership quality work. I'd give ASC 6 stars if I could. The shop has worked on many of my cars, most recently my Porsche. I would never second guess trusting ASC with a performance car. Andy is a man of his word, and a great individual and skilled at what he does. They treat you like a friend and you will never leave disappointed or unhappy with their work. read more

The best mechanics you'll ever come across, hands down. You'll get an honest, no bs assessment of what your vehicle needs, including how critical the work is sooner vs. later. It'll get done fast and at a totally reasonable shop rate, by guys who know cars inside and out. Been going there for years. Just writing this now since a national roadside assistance guy was stumped my car wouldn't start. Andy figured out the issue in less than 30 seconds, and I'm back on the road. I have to amend my previous review and note that upon bringing the car to a mechanic in our new location I was informed I needed not only four new tires but brakes on all four wheels. How a mechanic could let a car in this shape out of his shop just amazes me. After paying Andy 500 I'm now faced with a 1,500 bill just to make the car drive able. This after having to drive two hours at high speed on highways. I could have been killed. I'd advise anyone to not use them any more, they just give a damn any longer read more

The lack of accountability and unprofessionalism is astounding. Initially, I was very happy with my interactions with ASC automotive. Andy and his team seemed very nice and honest when reviewing my car repairs. The main reason I need a mechanic was to fix my brakes, and a hole in the exhaust. A minor issue I mentioned to Andy, was regarding the throttle. It seemed that the throttle was not as smooth as it should be. I didn't even notice the issue but it was a complaint from my girlfriend. Andy said it was a simple fix and that all it needed was a good cleaning. Once I received my car back, I drove 100 miles to the Poconos. During this drive, my engine light came on which never happened before. The car was idling very high and the cruise control was very abrupt. I brought it back to ASC and was informed that I would now need a new throttle body. Andy explained that during the cleaning that something likely broke, and that I would have to pay for a new one. He explained that he probably should have replaced it in the first place or not have attempted to clean it at all. I asked why he never gave me this option or set this expectation in the first diagnoses. He immediately raised his voice and became aggressive, accusing me of attempting to obtain a free throttle body from him. I did not ask for a free throttle body at any time. The fact he got defensive and hostile so quick was very odd and immature, especially since I thought it seemed to be a fair question. I explained that I was simply trying to get color around the issue, since it seemed a little strange that these problems only occurred after he had cleaned the throttle body. He raised his voice once again saying that he will not fix my car now. He said that he is going to leave my keys outside and have to pick up my car. Great way to get a car stolen. He said that it was not his fault that the throttle body needed to be replaced, and I should blame the original owner who sold me the car. I asked why he was raising his voice when I was clearly not, and he stated that that he has a right to raise his voice because he is not losing money on the transaction. I understand people are caught on off days, but not a reason to yell at a customer. I cannot recommend ASC for automotive repairs. read more

Best auto repair shop I've ever been to. My cars engine light was on, called & Andy had me come over. He checked a few things put in a spark plug, added oil & I was on my way. Any other shop would have had my car for a day or two and charged me a crazy fee. Honest, thorough and reasonable priced. I will be back anytime I have a car problem. read more

I took my VW Jetta in with problems that two other mechanics had been unable to diagnose. Andy Schrank was able to scan the engine, look it over, and tell me exactly what the problem was and what he suggested I do about it. He explained everything that made sense to me, despite my lack of car knowledge. He didn't even charge me for the advice. He was extremely respectful of my time, greeting me almost as soon as I arrived, and looking at my car right away. This guy knows his foreign cars. There was a slight problem with a sub-contractor we used to rebuild my transmission, but the owner of ASC guaranteed both the sub's work and ASC's work. The problem was quickly resolved and all is well. They have invested much money in all kinds of computers and scanning equipment. I would definitely recommend taking your car to this shop, especially if you have a foreign car. read more
