Kind of shocking to read a bad review for this place. I've been going to Bobby since he's been in business. Knew him from a place I went where he worked before he opened his own shop. Fernando, Neal and the staff work on all 5 of our family's cars. Actually left a dealer service call with my wife's car this morning to bring it to B&A for an oil change. 3 of my kids live out of state and I bring their cars for service when they visit home in NJ. In fact, one daughter in San Diego was buying a Jeep and Bobby called her with advice and questions to ask before purchasing. He even offered to speak with the Dealer on her behalf. I can only think miscommunication would prompt a light bulb install to be anywhere near $150 price? Maybe a full replacement cost? Wasn't there so not saying it didn't happen but sharing my experiences was worth my time. In any event, I see regulars there every time I go so I sense I am not alone in my support of B&A Quick Lube. Bobby is not nearly as funny as he thinks he is but he's treated me and my family well everytime. read more

Historically I have always taken my Honda Accords to the local dealer; but when they wanted to charge me $165 for an AC diagnosis in May of this year, I went to B&A based on my fiancee recommendation. They turned on a dime to fit me into their schedule the next day and the bill, including the diagnosis was under a $100. A few weeks later, the engine went to sleep for good. Robert, the owner, then played "general contractor" for me, locating and installing a new motor, program control module, and clutch, not an easy task for a 2005 Accord with manual transmission. Soon, I had my reliable car back again for a fraction of what a dealer or other shop might charge for the same work. Since then I've had a couple of minor other items which they've corrected quickly. I drive sometimes hundreds of miles a day and am a big believer in following a strict maintenance schedule which most agree will prolong the life of a vehicle and minimize breakdowns. With my mindset I would be someone that would be ripe for manipulation into unneeded work, etc. Bobby is a straight shooter and lays out what the issues are, suggests priorities, and never pushes or pressures you for unnecessary work. In fact he has often pushed back when I have asked to have certain work done that his experience tells him is premature or not needed. Thousands of miles with no breakdowns on the road-yes, a great car, but I think a great mechanic and team being involved is a big part of the equation. I have been going here for a few years now for my car repair , I first heard of rob through my husband , Never in my life have I met a place that truly treats you like family ! I have been in a couple of emergency situations , that rob has bailed me out of!! No matter what time of day it is, rob and his mechanics are there!! If there is a Bigger word than WOW. This place and the Owner Rob deserve it. our son has a disability and our truck broke down on a Friday. Leaving our son in his chair stranded with no way home. My wife called B&A and the Owner Rob came to try to help her. He proceeded to put a jack under the car. Saw it was the starter got the vehicle towed for us on a Friday. Helped with getting our son home. And helped us get the truck repaired. This station and the owner Rob are worth their weight in Gold. there are GoI'd people that care out there and Rob is One!! read more

I love Rob's Auto Repair, aka, Sunoco on Sunset's retro style waiting room. It's cozy and dog friendly too. I enjoyed watching blk&wht TVland classics Saturday, while my dog Georgia was entertained with treats. Although I went in specifically for a simple oil change, Rob noticed my wipers were worn down, which I knew but forgot to mention. Bobby and team at B&A Quick Lube are the most trustworthy mechanics I have worked with. I have been bringing my cars to Bobby for the last 7 years. Rob went the extra mile for me as soon as I had arrived he got my car right in to find out why the check engine light was on.
